Chapter 649: Cornered
When Fan ilin didn’t hear a response, he dropped his hand and opened his eyes. The second he saw the woman standing at the threshold of the resting area, his eyes cooled down, and he asked, “What are you doing here?” He knew that Liao Hong ca to watch the race, but what he never expected was for her to co looking for him right after the race. Should she not have sent soone to call him? Then he could have refused the person and gone back ho. At least that was how it always happened. How co the woman ca to look for him all of a sudden?
Fan ilin had not expected this. He imdiately jumped to his feet with his eyes darting around left and right. However, the resting area only had a single opening, and he couldn’t just run out of the door with the woman standing in the middle of the resting area.
“You are still the sa,” Liao Hong spoke as if they had not lost even a single minute of their ti. She stepped close and reached out to cup his cheek, but Fan ilin raised his hand and smacked the woman right across her hand. His expression turned cold as he warily eyed her. “Just what do you think you are trying to do? No, in fact, I don’t care what you are trying to do. Just get lost; the last thing I want is your husband, Xueping, to co after once again. The last ti he tried to kidnap and sell off to human traffickers. I cannot withstand such a challenge again.”
The last ti Liao Hong ca to see him was before her marriage to Cao Xueping. Though the woman only ca to tell her that she didn’t need him anymore and that she should stop badgering her, Cao Xueping still took it as a dig at his corner. Thus, he tried to kidnap him and sell him off to the human traffickers in country M. It was through sheer dumb luck that he sohow managed to get out of that terrible place and situation. If not, he would have gone missing years ago.
“You still rember that little thing?” Liao Hong asked with a frown.
Little thing? As if it were just a little thing. He almost lost his freaking life in the hands of that r. How dare this woman say that it was just a little thing? His hackles started to rise, but he bit back the retort that he wanted to hurl in her face. He rolled his eyes and suppressed his anger, knowing that he couldn’t fuck with this woman when he was alone. Fan ilin said to Liao Hong, “I don’t, but I would like it if I don’t see anything or anyone related to that incident. My doctor told that I cannot lose my temper, as I am suffering from a problem of high blood pressure. So if you can just step aside, that will be helpful.”
After he finished speaking, he smiled at Liao Hong sweetly.
Of course, it didn’t work. Liao Hong didn’t even budge an inch. Of course she didn’t; what was he even thinking?
Fan ilin stepped to one side, hoping to walk past the woman obstructing him, but Liao Hong seed determined to cause trouble for him. The second he moved to one side, the woman followed suit. She looked at him with the sa obsessed glint that she used to have when the two of them were dating. Back then, he used to love this look in her eyes, but now? Fan ilin couldn’t help but shiver in fright when he saw the look in her eyes.
Only now that the rose-tinted glint had been removed from his eyes was he able to see things clearly. This obsessive glint that he used to love was nothing but unhinged and psychotic. It was terrifying.
“Get out,” Fan ilin understood that the woman was not going to let him leave, so he could only threaten her. “Xu Qiao just went to get a dic. If you don’t leave, then I am worried that everyone will find out that the big CEO of the Liao corporation ca down to harass a little racer like .”
Fan ilin hoped that the threat would work, but Liao Hong didn’t seem to care about his threat at all. Instead, she smiled at him as if he were a cute rabbit who was hopping around, which entertained her. It annoyed Fan ilin to the point that he wished he could beat the woman so hard that her perfectly realigned teeth would be knocked out.
“Liao Hong, I am not joking with you—”
Fan ilin was still speaking when Liao Hong swooped down, causing him to take a step back. The r eyed Liao Hong with anger and frustration coating his eyes, but Liao Hong remained unperturbed. Instead, she continued to take one step after another, causing Fan ilin to push further and further back. By the ti the woman stopped, Fan ilin felt his back hit the wall of the resting area. He snapped his gaze upward and stared at the woman. Though his expression was calm and obviously annoyed, in truth, the r was scared out of his wits.
“Just what do you want from ?” He asked through gritted teeth.
“You,” Liao Hong reached out and cupped his cheek, and when Fan ilin turned his head to one side, the woman reached out and caught his face in between her fingers. She said to him, “Are you really going to turn your gaze away from , ilin? You were not like this before.”
“Have you lost your fucking mind?” Fan ilin snapped. He glared at the woman hatefully, but that was all he could do. With his strength as a r, he could not deal with a woman as strong as Liao Hong, and the resting area, along with the entire racing circuit, was under severe hunter security asures. Which ant that even if he wanted to use his skills, he couldn’t, leaving him quite helpless.
“I did,” Liao Hong replied as she leaned against Fan ilin and hugged him tightly. “I thought I told you to stay put for , ilin. I told you that I would co back to you, that I would return; then tell , why did you marry that woman? I could have married you. We could have been happy. I could have given you what you lost back then— ack!”
Liao Hong was still speaking when Fan ilin raised his foot and kicked her in the stomach. He glared at the woman coldly and warned her, “You don’t know what you are talking about—you better not talk nonsense with .” She could return what he had lost? What a fucking joke. Was she going to build a freaking ti machine and turn back ti to the day when she aborted his child? No, she couldn’t then. What was she doing wasting his ti?
“But I am.” Liao Hong straightened up. She still had her arms wrapped around her torso, but her voice was devoid of any kind of pain, which made Fan ilin wonder if this woman was even right in the head. “If you follow , I promise that I will return you everything that you have lost… after all, I want our child to be the heir of the company.”
If this were before, Fan ilin would be so touched that he would have shed tears of happiness, but he was no longer the sa Fan ilin of the past. He curled his lips mockingly and said to Liao Hong, “It seems like you have really lost your mind. Have you forgotten what you said to back then? You told that a r like did not deserve to have your children, and now you are telling that the child I give birth to will beco the heir of your company?”
He crossed his arms and tilted his head to one side. “And who told you that I want my child, if I have one, to beco the heir of your company? Why would I wish such a thing on my child? Is your Liao family better, or is my wife’s Luo family better? No matter how you look at the condition of the two families… You should realise that the thing you are offering . Do not hold any appeal to .” He straightened up and said in a stern voice, “I don’t know what and why you ca looking for , Liao Hong, but I would like it if you stopped doing this. I am married and so are you—there is no point in hanging on to the past that is already over—argh!”
Fan ilin clutched his neck, and one of his eyes closed down instinctively. He stared down at the hand that was holding his neck and choking the life out of him and gasped. “Let go!”
