When Luo Huian saw their innocent expressions, she sneered and turned her head away with a huff. She was furious when she thought about how these rs were the cause of her current situation, and yet they were acting as if they had done nothing wrong.
"Miss Luo, please put more strength in your hands," said Doctor Tan as he took a bite of his rabbit apple.
Luo Huian closed her eyes and tried to control her temper, as she was quite certain that this r was trying his best to drive her crazy. However, when she thought of the lies that she had spoken to save her skin, she could only lower her head and say, "Yes, Doctor Tan."
"What’s happening?" Fan ilin was stupefied when he saw how his wife was willing to submit to the r without fighting. What was going on? Since when did the odd and feral temper Luo Huian beco such an understanding person? He turned to look at Qi Yongrui and said to him, "Just what is going on!?"
Qi Yongrui frowned and remarked, "How am I supposed to know?"
"How can you not know!?" Fan ilin demanded with his hands clenched tightly on his sides. Luo Huian was his wife. His! If there was soone she was going to serve, then it was him and not anyone else. Why was the woman serving soone else? And that too, that sleazy r who was looking at her with that perverted gaze of his. It was as if he wanted to eat Luo Huian alive.
This was the sight that made Fan ilin so angry that he almost exploded due to the rage that he was feeling at the mont.
He turned to look at Liao Liqian and imdiately texted him. [Who is this r and why is he here?]
Liao Liqin heard the buzzing of his phone and looked down. When he saw the ssage, he simply sighed and then texted a reply to Fan ilin.

Qi Yongrui had already arranged to find out the information regarding the r in front of him; thus, he knew that Doctor Tan was a surgeon, and he could help Nian Zhi. He pursed his lips and said to Fan ilin, "I will talk with Huian in a while; till then, arrange a place for Master Tan to stay. Ask Uncle Feng to clean up a room."
Qi Yongrui knew how hard it was for anyone to appoint Doctor Tan as the chief surgeon, but Luo Huian had done it sohow. It must have caused her so trouble, which was why she was serving the r so carefully. Thus, even if it felt a bit uncomfortable, like swallowing a fly, Qi Yongrui knew that he had to suppress his urge to rip and pull his wife away from the r.
When Fan ilin heard Qi Yongrui’s words, he pursed his lips. He wanted to refuse, but after a short pause, he simply shook his head and then turned around to walk out of the living room.
Qi Yongrui watched him leave before turning his attention to Luo Huian, who had stepped away from Doctor Tan, who had fallen asleep.
He moved his electric wheelchair to where Luo Huian was standing and said to her, "Co with ."
Luo Huian paused her arms midair as she looked down at him. She was about to arch her arms over her head when she heard Qi Yongrui speak. She frowned and brought her hands down before saying to him, "What do you want to say to ?"
"Just co with ." Qi Yongrui glanced at Doctor Tan, whose eyelids were moving; even though the r was pretending to sleep, he knew that Doctor Tan was listening to everything that he was saying to Luo Huian. He wanted to discuss this matter with her alone. Without anyone eavesdropping on what he was saying.
"Fine." Luo Huian nodded as she walked after Qi Yongrui, who brought the two of them to their room. When Luo Huian took a seat on the large, plush couch, he turned his wheelchair around and faced her. He asked her, "Just what do you think you are doing? Why are you serving the r as if he were your ancestor?"
"He is —"
"I know he is a surgeon." he tapped his fingers on the armrest of the wheelchair before taking a swift inhale to calm down his anger. He then closed his eyes and breathed in and out before saying to Luo Huian, "I an, why are you trying your best to serve that r? Even if he is a surgeon, why do you need to take care of him in such a manner?"
"Because that’s his condition," Luo Huian replied as she crossed her legs at her shins. "Since you wanted to keep the children, we needed to have a decent excuse. I could only look for one—Doctor Tan agreed, but he wanted to serve him like his servant until the surgery was over. So I can only do what he asked to do."
Qi Yongrui bit his lower lip when he heard Luo Huian’s response. He pursed his lips before saying to her, "But is there a need to lower yourself like this? You can give him double his fees; that should be enough for that r, right?"
Luo Huian leaned back in the chair before saying to Qi Yongrui, "You really think that I didn’t offer him double the price? I did. He refused. So I did what I could." She paused and asked, "Shouldn’t you be happy? I did this much for you and the children. I thought you would be happy."
"I am happy, but I don’t want my wife to serve soone like she is their servant!" Qi Yongrui snapped. The truth burst out of his lips before he could stop it. He sucked in a breath and cald down before saying, "You are my wife. The most important woman in my life, how can I watch you serve another r?"
Luo Huian tilted her head to one side as she tried to understand the emotions of the r in front of her. After a while, she said, "So you are jealous?"
Qi Yongrui stiffened. He raised his head and looked at Luo Huian in horror. He stamred, "I? And jealous? That’s–that’s foolishness. How can I be jealous of that r?"
Luo Huian frowned. She looked at the flushed cheeks of the r plus the heavy breathing, including the anger in his eyes. She said to him, "So you are not jealous?"
"Why would I be jealous?"
"I thought you liked ."
Qi Yongrui opened his mouth to deny it, but couldn’t. He simply looked at Luo Huian, who was pouting. She was seriously pouting. He lowered his hand that he was holding in front of his mouth and said to her, "I never said that I don’t like you."
When Luo Huian raised her head, the r quickly added, "Not to the point where I will start feeling jealous."
That only confused Luo Huian even more; she thought that she had finally understood the emotions of the humans. But it seed like she was thinking too much. She pursed her lips and placed her hands on the knee of her left foot and asked, "Then why did you get angry at ? If you are not jealous, then it shouldn’t bother you what I do, right?"
Qi Yongrui: "..."
He opened his mouth to say that she was wrong, but when he thought things through thoroughly, he realised that she was right. If he was not jealous, then why did it matter if she served the r?
It shouldn’t have made him angry, but the thing was that it did!
He breathed through his lips before saying to Luo Huian, "Just do whatever you want to do!"
After he finished speaking he turned around and left in his wheelchair.
Luo Huian watched the r leave and frowned even harder. "Just what is up with that r?"
