Luo Huian curled her lips; she looked at the r who had spoken to her and asked, "Do you really want to know?"
When Old Master Qin heard her question, he turned angry. He said to her, "Why would I have asked you this question if I didn’t want an answer? If I asked you sothing, it’s because I want to know the answer! Isn’t it that simple?"
"It’s indeed that simple, but my answer might not be that simple," Luo Huian spoke in a sing-song voice, which irked Old Master Qin.
He said to her, "Just tell us what you want?"
"Nothing much." Luo Huian wanted to play around a little more, but after a little pause, she realised that it was not worth wasting her ti with soone like Old Master Qin. She pursed her lips coldly and said to the r with a smile on her lips, "All you have to do is sign an agreent which states that you are severing your relationship with my sister, and that’s all that you have to do."
"Have you lost your mind?" Before Old Master Qin could even think it over, Qin Qiu shrieked. He knew that Luo Huian was not going to help him. She just wanted to see him making a fool of himself. What did she an by saying that all he needed to do was to sever his relationship with his daughter?
He had raised Luo Qingling for so many years; now that it was ti for him to enjoy the warmth and filial piety of the girl he had raised and given birth to, Luo Huian was telling him that he needed to sever his ties with her? Had she lost her mind?
He glared at Luo Huian but didn’t say anything to her. Instead, he turned to look at Ye Shun and said to him, "Did you ask her to do this? I know you must have! You always hated that I gave birth to a daughter who was better than yours in every way and in everything that she did. So, you must have co up with this idea of ruining like this, right?"
Qin Qiu’s eyes were glaring red as he spoke to Ye Shun.
While he was accusing Ye Shun, the latter was simply stunned. Because he had never asked his daughter to do anything like that. Not to ntion, he never had any intention to ask Qin Qiu to sever ties with Luo Qingling.
He hated Qin Qiu, but he would never stoop so low as to do such a thing. He turned and looked at Luo Huian before asking her, "Huian, what are you talking about? I know that you are angry with Mr Qin, but there is no need to take such a step."
After he finished speaking, Ye Shun turned to look at Qin Qiu. he said, "I am not you. So please don’t look at with the sa vision that you have for yourself and others. I will never try to touch a r’s child, even if they deserve every bit of pain. That’s the difference between you and . Sothing that you ought to know."
"You—"
Qin Qiu stepped forward but was stopped by Old Master Qin.
The old r turned to look at Luo Huian and then said to her, "He is right. No matter how much you hate my son. You are being a bit too much by asking him to sever ties with Luo Qingling. She is his daughter, obviously; he loves her a lot. By asking him to break ties with her, you are breaking his heart—"
"Ha.... haha, ha, ha, ha." Luo Huian burst out laughing the second Old Master Qin finished speaking. She bent double with her arms curled around her waist; her laughter echoed hauntingly in the silence of the ward.
While Luo Huian seed quite amused by the things that Old master Qin had spoken, Qin Qiu was not amused by her laughter. He stomped his feet and glared at the woman in front of him, "How dare you laugh at !? What’s there for you to laugh about in this situation?"
Luo Huian stopped laughing. However, she didn’t reply. Instead, she walked over to Luo Qingling, who was staring at her with confusion in her eyes. Though the woman didn’t say anything, her gaze was silently asking many questions of Luo Huian.
If it were soone else, Luo Huian would not have bothered with their personal and private affairs. However, Luo Qingling was one of the few people who had never ever looked down on her. If anything, she had helped her again and again and even gave her a place to stay when she had nowhere to go.
So, how could Luo Huian not help her?
She also knew that if she didn’t help Luo Qingling today, this woman would one day lose everything in her hands due to Qin Qiu, who was not only foolish but also blind to the selfishness of his father and brother.
"Pardon for my rudeness," said Luo Huian as she reached out, and before Luo Qingling could understand what she was doing, she tore off the back of her shirt that she was wearing.
"Huian, you—" Luo Yeqing thought that Luo Huian was once again playing a prank on Luo Qingling, but her words got stuck when she looked at the many ugly scars on Luo Qingling’s back.
Luo Yeqing knew that those scars were not sothing that her eldest daughter had gotten by fighting the monsters who crawled out of dungeons because those marks were all the sa.

Her heart suddenly clenched, and she turned to look at Luo Huian. With a dumb look on her face, she asked, "Who... what is this?" She knew the answer in her heart, but Luo Yeqing didn’t dare to accept it.
If such a thing had happened to her daughter, right under her nose, then what kind of mother was she?
Beside her, Ye Shun covered his mouth with his hands. He looked at Luo Qingling, who had lowered her head with a flustered look on his face, and then turned to look at Qin Qiu in shock.
He thought that even if the r had tried to ruin his daughter, he must have treated and raised his daughter with care and love. Who would have thought that he had done sothing even worse to his daughter!?
How could he? How could he hurt Luo Qingling like this?
If he were in his shoes, he would have treated Luo Qingling like a little princess!
Old Madam Luo was so shocked that she nearly fainted. She looked at the many marks that were old and new, scattered all over the back of her beloved granddaughter, and gasped hard.
Sin! What a sin! She should have known that a r like Qin Qiu was not worthy of raising a child. A r so ambitious as Qin Qiu would certainly cause trouble! However, she foolishly thought that no matter what, Luo Qingling was his daughter; he would never do anything to her.
How foolish was she!?
Luo Huian, however, was rciless. She smiled sweetly and pointed at Qin Qiu before saying to Luo Yeqing, "You should ask this question to him."
