“Why did you slap ?” The elf questioned angrily. Even his parents never thought of hurting him like this. How dare this woman, who didn’t even have the right to touch him as he was soon going to beco her master, hit him like this?
Luo Huian, however, narrowed her eyes and looked at the elf with her cat-like eyes filled with murderous intentions. She said to the elf, “Who do you think you are threatening?”
“I am your master! That was the bet—”
As soon as he finished speaking, the elf was slapped on the head once again. Luo Huian sneered and then asked him in a soft yet threatening voice, “Who do you think you are?”
“Your master—”
Slap.
“Your soon-to-be master.”
Slap.
“I am just an elf!” The elf was worried that he would be beaten to death by Luo Huian, so he imdiately changed his words after getting slapped two tis.
He covered his face, which was almost swollen like a pig and looked at Luo Huian uncomfortably. he was worried that the woman would beat him again. Fortunately, Luo Huian wasn’t completely rciless. She placed her hand down and nodded. She said to him, “That’s right, you are just an elf. For the ti being, you have no right to call your slave. If you dare to use that word on again, I will rip your head off your shoulders. Do you understand ?”
“I—I do,” stamred the elf. What a joke! With how threateningly this woman was talking to him, it would be a surprise if he wouldn’t be able to understand sothing so simple.
“Then you know what to do.” Luo Huian smiled at the little elf, who pursed his lips and lowered his head with a tearful expression. He hoped that the woman would let him go, but being rciful was never Luo Huian’s forte. She kept looking at the elf who was kneeling in front of her with her arms crossed.
Realising that the woman was not going to give up, the elf had no other choice but to lower his head and say, “The dungeon in the western district has Violet Eve. You can use those crystals to make dicines. They are really useful.”
“Very well,” Upon getting the answer that Luo Huian wanted, she waved her hand at the elf and said to him, “You can go now.”
“You can offer sothing to eat,” grumbled the elf, but when Luo Huian glanced at him, the elf pursed his lips and then vanished into thin air.
Xiao Hei watched him leave and glanced at Luo Huian. He asked, “Are you sure that you want to make this elf your servant? He doesn’t look really reliable.”
“It doesn’t matter whether he is reliable or not,” Luo Huian said to Xiao Hei as she walked over to the bed and lay back down on it to sleep. “I have no hope from him in the first place.”
She just wanted to take control of the elf to collect more information about the Gloom Rocks and the dungeons. Since the dungeons were the cause of so many tragedies, she might as well find a way to eradicate the root cause.
The next morning, Luo Huian got up and headed to the hospital. However, as soon as she arrived at the ward where Luo Yeqing was admitted, she found that a rather thick crowd had gathered around the entire doorway.
She walked over to the doorway and patted a woman on the shoulder before saying to her, “What happened here?”
“It’s awful,” replied the woman with an expression that scread, ‘I got gossip.’
“The woman who is admitted in the ward just got out of surgery and her second husband’s brother ended up dragging a bunch of creditors here, now they are surrounding the ward and saying that if the woman doesn’t pay back, they will cut the arm of her husband’s brother and that man is causing trouble in the ward. Begging and pleading. What a nuisance.”
“He doesn’t even care that his sister-in-law had just had surgery last night.”
When Luo Huian heard the woman’s response, she was speechless. She knew that the Qin family were shaless, but she never thought that they were this shaless. She pinched the bridge of her nose and then said to the people in front of her, “Excuse , let through. I am the daughter of the woman admitted to the ward. Please step away; let through.”
Luo Huian walked past the overly excited crowd and then entered the ward. Just as she entered the room, she saw Qin Zhengbang hanging by Luo Yeqing’s arms. He was crying and sobbing as he hugged her and said, “Noooo! Sister-in-law, you have to help . You cannot let these people take away. If I lose an arm, what will happen to ?”
Qin Zhengbang was truly scared. When he started gambling, he thought that his luck was really good and that in a few days he would be able to regain the glory he had lost at the hands of the Luo family.
