Chapter 574: Oath
Luo Huian had no desire to take an elf as her slave, but honestly, the circumstances told her otherwise. What was the point of making an elf her slave when she could do almost everything that an elf could? But after a short while, Luo Huian thought things through even more quickly. Though her strength was indeed more than the elves’, she didn’t have the resources of the elves, such as the spring water or the magical ability to pop from one dinsion to another.
If she were to make use of his abilities, then not only would she be able to make quite a lot of difference in this world, but maybe she would be able to get an idea about what was going on with the dungeons that have opened all over the place.
“Your slave –I don’t want to.” The elf made an expression of disgust, but before he could say anything more, Luo Huian raised her and flicked the elf on his forehead, which caused him to double back in pain. He placed his hands on his forehead and looked at Luo Huian with a hint of bla in his eyes. he said to Luo Huian, “Why did you hit ?”
“Why do you think?” Luo Huian questioned. She looked at the elf and said to him, “Think it through carefully. I am putting my pride on the line here, which ans that you need to put the sa thing on the line. If I beco your slave if I lose the bet, then you will do the sa.”
When the elf heard her words, his eyes flickered left and right. Though he thought that the risks were too high, the reward was just as beautiful. He paused for a second as he wanted to think things through, but how could Luo Huian allow that to happen? She raised her brows and then said to the elf, “Eh, what’s wrong? Are you scared that you will lose?”
As soon as she finished speaking, the elf jumped high in the air and pointed at Luo Huian’s nose before yelling at her. “Who is scared of whom? There is no way I will lose!”
“Then why are you scared?” Luo Huian was quite happy that she had found a little, silly elf to fool. After all, if this elf were not stupid, how would she make her second pot of gold? Not to ntion finish her mission quicker than she had expected.
She curled her lips and then said to the elf, “Since neither of us is scared, we should swear on the heavens and tie this bet. What do you say?”
The elf still felt like there was sothing wrong, but he still nodded and agreed with Luo Huian, who didn’t waste her ti and swore to the heavens. Once Luo Huian was done, the elf didn’t wait for her to finish speaking; he swallowed and followed suit.
Once the two of them finished making the oath, thunder cracked in the sky, and the two of them were bound by the oath that they had taken. The elf who thought that he had already won puffed out his chest and looked at Luo Huian with a hint of mockery and contempt in his eyes. He said to her, “Just you wait! I will make you regret it!”
After that, he turned on the spot and tried to disappear at once. Unfortunately, Luo Huian’s magic was still in place, which caused the elf to stagger and fall on the ground. He raised his head and glared at Luo Huian, who shrugged before saying, “I am not in the mood to lift the spell. If you think you can break it, then you can try.”
The elf’s glare only intensified even further when he heard Luo Huian’s words. he narrowed his eyes, but he didn’t say anything. He simply staggered to his feet and then jumped out of the window. Luo Huian watched him leave and chuckled as she snapped her fingers and then let the spell disappear.
Once the spell was gone, Fan ilin, who was lying on the floor, also stirred. He blinked his eyes and then looked at Luo Huian, who was sitting next to him on the floor, and questioned, “What—what happened? Where is that ghost!?”
“There is no ghost.” Luo Huian deadpanned as she stood up from the floor when she saw that the r was doing all right. She arched her back and looked at the r who was still frowning hard. “What’s wrong?”
“But I saw a ghost.”
“It was not a ghost.” Luo Huian saw that the r was not deterred, so she decided to tell him the truth. “It was an elf who was pulling pranks on our family.”
“An elf?” Fan ilin had heard a lot about elves, but he had never seen one. He thought that these elves were nothing but a fragnt of the imagination of people, but it seed like they really existed!
He rubbed the swollen lump at the back of his head and questioned, “Why did an elf co here to pull pranks on us? Is this sothing that the elves are doing now?” First the glooms and then the hollows and now elves. If this went on, he was worried that the end of the world would co very soon.
“It’s nothing. Elves are just quite selfish creatures.” Luo Huian smirked when she thought about how the elf was going to waste his ti looking for the culprit when she already knew that the culprit was dead.

“Achoo!” Wei Yucheng raised his hands and covered his nose with his hands. He looked out of the window and muttered, “Maybe Huian is missing .”
“Thousand and thousand years of agony, and yet you have learnt nothing.”
A familiar voice spoke to him from behind, and Wei Yucheng sighed before raising his head and looking at the woman in front of him.
“Gu Sirou, how many tis have I told you not to co to et ?” He was certain that he did say these words more than just a thousand tis.
