When it rushed to a distance of thirty ters, Su Mu’s expression changed.
This Little Koi Carp tried only three tis, and each ti showed significant improvent.
Quickly, the Little Koi Carp attempted a fourth ti!
This ti, it directly reached halfway up the waterfall, which was fifty ters, and suddenly a piece of rock dislodged from the cliff, heavily hitting the Little Koi Carp.
In an instant, the Little Koi Carp was knocked back, falling heavily onto the green stone at the base of the waterfall, with a large chunk of flesh blown off, mixing with the blood and staining a small patch of the water’s surface red.
Seeing this, Su Mu shook his head, withdrew his gaze, feeling regretful.
After a while, the sound of breaking water resud, and the Little Koi Carp burst out from the water, beginning its fifth upstream attempt!
.....
Su Mu was astonished, amazed at the Little Koi Carp’s incredible healing ability.
This ti, the Little Koi Carp directly reached the eighty-ter mark!
Only twenty ters left, Su Mu furrowed his brow, not knowing why, he suddenly hoped this Little Koi Carp could make it.
When it reached ninety ters, a large amount of rubble suddenly fell from the cliff. Seeing this scene, Su Mu wanted to see how it would navigate through, the large quantity of falling rocks at such a height could be deadly if struck.
However, what happened next shocked Su Mu.
Despite the high density of falling rocks, not a single one hit the Little Koi Carp. They all narrowly missed, and through Divine Sense, Su Mu calculated that there was only one perfect position where it wouldn’t be hit, with the odds being one in a million.
Yet, by sheer luck, the Little Koi Carp found it!
It wasn’t the Little Koi Carp’s effort that astonished Su Mu, but its extraordinary luck.
After avoiding the rubble, the Little Koi Carp successfully reached ninety-nine ters, just one ter away from the shore.
But that last ter also had the most turbulent water flow.
The Little Koi Carp seed to have exhausted all its energy, and this final ter beca an insurmountable chasm.
Witnessing this, Su Mu sighed softly.
Most people’s lives are like this; success is accidental, while failure is the main lody of life.
This Little Koi Carp had enough effort and enough luck, yet it still couldn’t cross that last ter, so... what was it missing?
Was it not trying hard enough?
Or was it that its luck wasn’t good enough?
At this mont, just as the Little Koi Carp was about to fall, Su Mu realized sothing, waved his hand, picked up the Little Koi Carp, and helped it overco that final ter.
Upon successfully bringing the Little Koi Carp to the waters atop the waterfall, Su Mu realized what it was missing.
It lacked a ntor.
And he himself was the Little Koi Carp’s ntor.
Of course, eting him as its ntor was also due to its own effort and luck.
If it hadn’t been diligent and had given up on the second try, Su Mu would not have noticed it. If its luck wasn’t good enough and it hadn’t encountered Su Mu here at this mont, it wouldn’t have reached the shore.
At this mont, Su Mu’s state of mind was also enlightened.
The Little Koi Carp, now successfully in the waters above the waterfall, held its head high, looking through the water at the ntor who helped it reach the shore, feeling imnse gratitude.
.....
At this mont, the Little Koi Carp opened its mouth, releasing bubbles, and subsequently spat out sothing else.
