"You really dared to co."
As the words fell, a tall man with snow-white hair approached on a small boat.
Yang Kai scrutinized the white-haired man, frowning, because he had no mory of this man at all; indeed, a future enemy.
"If you dare to co, why wouldn’t I?"
Yang Kai sneered.
...
As the words fell, the two stood facing each other, appearing close yet separated by countless monts, one in the past, the other in the future. People originally not on the sa tiline t on the River of Ti.
Seeing Yang Kai hesitating to make a move, the white-haired man extended his right hand, a green sapling exuding traces of Immortal Charm suspended in his palm.
Upon seeing this sapling, Yang Kai’s pupils contracted, and his breathing inadvertently beca erratic.
This World Subtree, indeed in his hands, was crucial for Yang Kai at this stage. The white-haired man effectively had him by the throat, causing him discomfort.
"If you have the ability, co take it yourself."
The white-haired man tauntingly provoked Yang Kai, luring him to make a move.
Upon hearing such a blatantly intentional remark, Yang Kai instantly cald down. The opponent was trying to anger him, to make him act.
However, this was no ordinary place; this was the River of Ti!
Both he and his opponent had to rely on a dium to tread upon the Water of Ti. If they started a fight here and accidentally fell, it would be easy to be swallowed by the Water of Ti and exiled to another ti in another world.
The next second, Yang Kai’s Divine Sense burst forth, launching a Soul Attack on the white-haired man.
The white-haired man did not expect Yang Kai to attack this way. Caught off guard, he almost fell for it. Yet, his power was far greater than Yang Kai’s, so he imdiately reacted, their Divine Senses clashing.
The powerful pressure caused shallow ripples on the river’s surface.
Seizing Yang Kai’s mont of distraction, the white-haired man took to the air and punched toward Yang Kai.
Seeing this, Yang Kai blocked the punch with both hands at his chest, forcibly enduring the blow. He staggered back a step, almost knocked off the wooden plaque, nearly falling into the Water of Ti.
The white-haired man returned to the small boat. Due to the unique combat environnt, they dared not carelessly use Spiritual Power, only resorting to Soul Attacks or physical combat.
Though it was a purely physical attack, the white-haired man’s body was so strong that it inflicted considerable internal injury to Yang Kai.
A trickle of blood seeped from Yang Kai’s mouth; he wiped it, staring at the white-haired man, contemplating a strategy in his mind.
Subsequently, Yang Kai operated the Ti Law, intending to maneuver the River of Ti to attack the white-haired man.
However, his prideful Path of Ti had no effect here, aning his mastery of it was insignificant before the River of Ti.
The white-haired man seemingly sensed Yang Kai’s intent, sneering, "My mastery of the Path of Ti surpasses yours. Even so, I never considered manipulating the River of Ti."
"Our mastery of the Path of Ti is like a tiny drop in the ocean compared to the River of Ti."
"Of all supre beings I am aware of, neither history’s past nor the distant future have, or can have, an entity capable of commanding the River of Ti."
The white-haired man’s words enlightened Yang Kai.
He could tread the River of Ti, even sit in the future and influence his past self, indicating the opponent’s Path of Ti was above his own, making it improbable to use it against him.
Suddenly, the white-haired man unleashed his pressure, his powerful Divine Sense transford into a sharp sword, piercing toward Yang Kai’s Sea of Consciousness!
That strike almost penetrated Yang Kai’s Sea of Consciousness, causing his pupils to scatter, his body stiffening.
Seizing the opportunity, the white-haired man transford his hand into a sword, aiming to pierce Yang Kai’s heart to kill him in one blow, planning to cast his corpse into the River of Ti, utterly obliterating him, eradicating any possibility of rebirth.
This was the white-haired man’s primary purpose in luring Yang Kai to the River of Ti.
If the body died on the River of Ti, casting it into the Water of Ti might result in exile to another world’s tiline at best, removing the enemy utterly. At worst, the River of Ti would devour him, annihilating soul and spirit, for eternity without rebirth.
Just as the strike was about to impact Yang Kai’s chest, white Ti Mist surged, the Water of Ti stilled, and a presence approached them.
Seeing this, the white-haired man’s body froze, relinquishing the attack, turning to look in a certain direction.
At that mont, Yang Kai’s pupils regained focus, and his consciousness returned to reality, suddenly realizing he nearly got killed by the white-haired man. Dying here on the River of Ti, none of his trump cards or ans would have mattered.
He turned his head towards a certain direction; it was that ergence of presence that spared him.
At the river’s end, a figure appeared amidst Ti Mist, walking on the River of Ti, step by step approaching them.
The white-haired man gazed at the figure, filled with trepidation.
Yang Kai also felt tense inside, unsure if the figure was friend or foe...
Neither dared to continue fighting, both remained fixed in place, eyes intently tracking the figure’s approach.
Whoosh—
Suddenly, an inexplicable breeze blew, dispersing the Ti Mist on the river, revealing the figure.
A simple robe, brows like snow, eyes like deep pools; standing upon the River of Ti, this robed man, rely standing there, brought a trendous worldview shock to both.
In that mont, both forgot to think, forgot their purpose for coming to the River of Ti.
Because both cultivated the Path of Ti, with deep attainnt.
No one understood better than they what it ant to tread the Water of Ti, halt the ti domain, and disperse the Ti Mist, this series of actions.
Nor did anyone comprehend the magnitude of their shock.
At this mont, their worldviews were completely shattered.
They could influence specific pasts or futures in their world, could walk the River of Ti, but only with utmost caution, as if treading on thin ice. To control the River of Ti itself, an act defying the heavens, was beyond imagination.
For this River of Ti was not of one world’s river, but the River of Ti of All Heavens and Myriad Realms, of all worlds!
"Who goes there?"
"Why do you act recklessly upon my river?"
The ethereal voice of the man pulled the two back to reality.
