She closed the door and said without turning her back, "What do you want? Snooping around my house like so cockroach."

"How did you find ?"

"You still need so training, though I must admit your hiding technique is worth the praise."

"Enough nonsense. What do you know about Igor?" I asked, going straight to the point.

"You found that briefcase, why ask again?"

"You're sickening ."

"I'm just doing my job."

"But they don't deserve that."

"That's not up to to decide, but those at the top."

"Why did you go into hiding? Do you think Synth didn't know?" I changed the topic.

"They already know. My disappearance is their orders."

"They're behind this? No, it's not weird. The event isn't being covered in any dia outlets, and even if soone knows, Synth silenced them.

"Because of that, no one knows it ever happened, until now."

"Bravo, you found the answer yourself." She smiled.

"Don't you feel any kind of remorse?" Disgust evident in my voice.

"Whether I feel that or not, it won't bring their lives back. What? You want to teach a lesson?" She asked casually and shift the topic as she added, "Your powers are truly unique to be able to open that briefcase. I seal it quite tight, you see. Do you mind telling your powers?"

"F*ck you."

"Relax, I'm asking nicely."

"Did Igor commit suicide because of what he done?" I asked quickly.

"Ridden by guilt and regret? He's not the kind of person to kill himself due to such reasons." She denied and continued, "Did you read the docunts entirely?"

The briefcase has top secret docunts and the content was quite sinister and would convince you that a person can be more monstrous than a monster.

When she asked, I thought for a mont and realized sothing. In the docunt, it was said a group of expanders (people that expand the city by drilling the ground) found a mysterious tallic machine buried underneath the earth. The docunt didn't ntion what it does, but it does ntion that the machine was used on that specific event.

That event caused casualties, a hefty amount in fact that it was safe to assu it has destructive capabilities that of an atomic bomb.

"That tallic machine, is it like the old cartoon show Gu*dam?"

"Yeah, and if I rember correctly, it has a strange obsession with Honors."

"A strange obsession?" I frowned slightly.

"Yeah, it vowed to kill all Honors. We use that as a deal to control it and once it finished its job, we didn't fulfill its promise. I think that Te*gen To*pa rip off is now a scrap in soone's junkyard." She explained slowly.

"Those working under Synth are truly the embodint of scum." I judged and thought sothing was off.

If the tallic machine was just like she said, then what about the cha Calvin summoned?

As much as I want to ask her, it'd be best to hide the information. I don't trust her and I don't know what she would do once I reveal such an info.

"Say whatever you like, I don't care." She walked pass and sat on the sofa.

"Would you care if I kill your children?"

Swish!

In a blink of an eye, her eyes glowed and shot black laser beams. It hit my head directly, piercing to the other side.

Blood flowed down and I plopped to the ground, motionless. She looked at the corpse, unimpressed.

"If you say that one more ti, I'll kill you."

Mist slowly manifested behind her and gathered before turning into .

"If you can, and you shouldn't have the right to care about another human being, especially after what you've done. You're rightfully disgusting." Hatred filled my words.

"That's not up to you to decide," She said in a displeased manner.

"That is true, and the fact you start a family is the proof that you still have humanity left on you. That thing will decide your past.

"Isn't being a human great? You still have a compass to navigate through life even you have done terrible things in the past, and honestly, I wish you don't have that. It's quite unfair to those innocent lives."

"What are you getting at?*

"Atone your sins by revealing everything to the public." my words were solemn.

"If I don't?" She asked in a challenging tone.

"I'll do it myself."

"You think I would allow you?" She asked.

"If you want to stop , we would be in a battle to the death right now, and that's not the case now, is it?"

"What's next after I exposed the truth? Synth could simply say it's a hoax as there's no proof."

"That docunt." I pointed out.

"You know better than anyone else what Synth is capable of. They could simply state it's a forged docunt and no one could say otherwise."

"There is a way."

"You'll not be able to convince ." She crossed her arms. Her pointy finger tapping her shoulders.

"And I'm particularly good at convincing people."

She fell silent and sighed, "Fine, let's hear it."

"We showed your mories to the entire city."

"That's the dumbest thing I've heard. How would you show soone's mory? And let's not forget there are abilities that can create fake mories, how are you going to say when Synth denies my mories and state that they're fake?"

At that point, who will the public believe? The organization that protects them, or two slightly famous people?

"We don't need to make the public believe you entirely."

"I thought that's your goal?"

"I'm not naive, I'm aware of their influence on the public."

"Then what's your goal?"

"Making them doubt Synth."

"Would that work?"

"Of course, I'm pretty sure you've noticed. The public doesn't show it, but they despise Synth, well, so of them."

Silence ensued as she contemplated about sothing and opened her mouth, "I see, so that's what you're planning, but you would need a bigger spark than this."

"No, this is enough."

I shifted my eyes to the tv. It showed news but it didn't talk about what happened at the night market, which was quite strange as there were innurable witnesses, a lot of casualties and buildings were destroyed.

She seed to grasp my aning and said, "Did they cover another event?"

"Who knows."

"... So that will be the big spark? You said I'm a monster, but you used people's emotions like it's your plaything."

"I don't care if they call a monster once they find out, I simply do what I believe is right."

"Quite the words."
