His guess was completely based on his knowledge of novels with similar scenes.
Though Jason had considered Erebus's nature as well, at least the small portion of it that he knew.

Jason and Aiden both sighed while thinking about the god of shadows who made sure that the correct drink was handed to the correct person.

The latter blinked in surprise since he didn't expect to hear such a turn to the tale.

Unfortunately, he knew that he had already started a rebellion in the kingdom by going against Julian and his patron.

"Those were just my powers and abilities, so of which were obtained by sheer luck. Still doesn't make sense as to why I am different..."
"Jason, you are you. You aren't a chosen one or anything like that. Heck, you might be called the right person due to your abilities. But I know one thing.
Despite whatever you might believe, you want at least so form of peace in your life to settle down. You want to experience a life free of the constant worries of death." Aiden gave him a bittersweet smile.
Jason on the other hand felt as though soone had just taken a peek at his soul.
He had to admit that the ti he had spent with his family and friends wa simply next level.
Even practicing magic or fighting for fun seed good to him.
Jason wanted that life to last for a long ti instead of being worried about constant threats attacking him left and right.
"I..."
"You don't have to choose between saying yes or no." Aiden interrupted. "I have told you the truth so just take your ti and think about it. That's all I will ask."
Jason fell silent since that was exactly what he was going to say. He was going to ask for so ti to think but Aiden automatically gave him that.
"I will tell you my decision in the future." Jason managed to say.
Aiden smiled at him and nodded.

With a snap of his fingers, Aiden sent him off to the real world.
'For the ti being, my job is done. I leave the rest to you, Jason. Hopefully I'll be saved but if not, I guess I would be the only person to bla.'
With a sad expression, Aiden sat down on his spot with his wolf companion.
There was nothing left for him to do except rembering the destruction caused by him in the past.

"I guess I got used to this..." Jason comnted as his eyes flew open.
Normally he would've have gasped but his body and mind were used to the sensation by now
What he wasng used to was the feeling of water dropping down his face.
Jason slowly sat up with a confused expression as he felt water tricking down his cheeks.
He rubbed it off his face and looked around to see where it was coming from.
However, his vision was soon blurred, making him understand that the water was coning from his eyes.
'Why am I... crying?'
