“If I don’t use him now, I might not have the chance to use him in the future,” Xu Baohan interrupted her, “I’m a law-abiding citizen and I don’t need a lawyer like him. Besides, he’s already in his sixties, who knows much longer he can live?”

“...”

An Lan looked at Song Ruixue. As expected, he was angry.

“You bastard, you dared to curse ,” he said angrily. “I can live to a hundred years old.”

Xu Baohan nodded calmly. “But you’ll be too old to go to the court. You are good at nothing but being a lawyer, so it’s better to use your strength while you can.”

Song Ruixue took a deep breath, drinking water to calm himself down.

An Lan glanced at Xu Baohan, admiring him for daring to speak to his idol like that.

“Mr. Song, ignore him,” An Lan tried to sooth him. “He looks an, but he’s good guy.”

Xu Baohan’s lips curved up. So that was what she thought of him.

Song Ruixue said unhappily, “If I didn’t knew his personality, I would have kicked him out long ago. But young lady, you seem to know him quite well.”

An Lan was a little embarrassed. That’s right, although she had only known Xu Baohan for a short period of ti, she did seem to know him quite well.

Xu Baohan pulled her to sit down. “If she doesn’t know , who does? If we don’t know know each other, how can we end up together?”

Song Ruixue looked at him, surprised by his words. It seed like he really liked the woman. No wonder he was so serious.

“You guys can talk about the case after the dinner,” Mrs. Song said.

“Will Yitong co back for dinner?” Song Ruixue asked.

“She’s busy at school and will co back after supper,” Mrs. Song said.

Song Ruixue shook his head in disapproval. “Bohan is here. She should co back no matter how busy she is.”

“We didn’t know Bohan would co this afternoon. Yitong has been busy at school lately,” Mrs. Song said with a smile and walked toward the dining room.

An Lan asked in confusion, “Do you still have a daughter studying in the school?”

She only rembered that Song Ruixue had a son who was also a very famous lawyer, but he didn’t work in Xia City.

“No, she’s an associate professor in the law departnt of Xia City University,” Mrs. Song explained with a smile.

An Lan suddenly understood. “She must be very good to have beco an associate professor at such a young age.”

“I’m not sure about that, but she and Baohan used to be classmates,” Mrs. Song said.

An Lan looked aningfully at Xu Baohan, wondering if he had a romantic history with his classmate.

Xu Baohan did not notice aning in her gaze and pulled out a chair for her to sit down. He glanced at the dishes on the table with a warm expression.

“I prepared a few of your favorite dishes.” Mrs. Song smiled amiably. “Unfortunately, I didn’t have ti to go to the market. Otherwise, I would have bought so pork trotters. I rember that you love to eat them.”

An Lan’s mouth twitched as she looked at the man sitting beside her. “You like eating pork trotters?”

Xu Baohan’s handso face blushed. “Is there a problem?”

“Uh... no problem.” She shook her head. The thought of gorgeous Xu Baohan eating pork trotters made her want to laugh.

Xu Baohan moved closer to her and said softly, “If you don’t like this dish, I won’t eat it in the future.”
