Those were three simple words, yet Nian Xi froze when she heard them.
She turned around and t his strongly passionate eyes. She stared at him for a while in an attempt to imprint his face in her mind, so that ti would not wear off their feelings for each other. “I’ll wait for you,” she said.
I love you.
I’ll wait for you.
Jiang Yuning thought that “I’ll wait for you” actually sounded much better than “I love you.”

The sound of running water could be heard from the bathroom, and when Jiang Yuning searched on the floor for his clothes, he suddenly stumbled upon a handcuff, which had slipped off from the clothes.
He picked it up in confusion and felt puzzled about why there would be a handcuff here when Nian Xi usually kept such items in the drawer.
He inspected it for so ti, and he suddenly noticed a red bruise around his wrists that was not very uniform. He then recalled that Nian Xi had also used a handcuff to restrain him when they were in his house previously, which in turn left a similar bruise.
Why did such a mark appear again? Could it be that last night...?
Right at that mont, Nian Xi had finished washing up, and she ca out of the bathroom. Jiang Yuning walked over to her with the handcuff in his hands and gazed at her suspiciously. “Xixi, honestly speaking, did you restrain with the handcuff last night?” he asked. “I even have a bruise on my hand!”
He had an accusatory expression on his face as he showed his wrist to Nian Xi.
Nian Xi swept a glance at it, before calmly raising her eyebrows and replying, “You an this? The cheek of you to ask!”
“Really?” Jiang Yuning was slightly doubtful.
“Why? Do you think I’m lying to you?” Nian Xi asked with her arms crossed, giving off an overbearing aura. “Let tell you this. You better not deny what you’ve done! I dare you to swear to God...”
Jiang Yuning was instantly rendered speechless. His fair face flushed red with embarrassnt, and he no longer suspected her. With his head lowered, he stared at his feet and wished that he could dig a hole and crawl into it.
Nian Xi imdiately chortled and said, “Do you know what you’re doing? You’re trying to push the bla to other people after taking advantage of the situation!”
“I was wrong, Xixi. I shouldn’t have doubted you,” Jiang Yuning apologized obediently. “I’m a despicable and sanctimonious hypocrite.”
“Um... You’re not exactly a sanctimonious hypocrite. We all have our inner beasts after all,” Nian Xi said as she waved her hands. “I won’t take it to heart, but don’t ever doubt like that again in the future! I’ve always been a straightforward person,” she said.
“Got it!” Jiang Yuning replied, still ashad to show his face
So, he did unleash his inner beastly self last night.

At 10:00 a.m, after so dawdling, Jiang Yuning went into the elevator with Nian Xi when all of a sudden, his body trembled violently. “F*ck!” he cursed.
“What’s wrong?” Nian Xi asked in shock and subconsciously leaned closer towards the walls of the elevator. “Is there sothing wrong with the elevator again?”
Jiang Yuning seed deathly pale as he said, “No, I...”
“I thought it was sothing serious,” Nian Xi muttered as she rolled her eyes. “No way can that happen so easily!”
“You can’t be certain!” Jiang Yuning replied with a serious expression on his face. “You’re healthy, and I don’t usually smoke or drink, so I don’t have any health issues either. Maybe it’s easier for such a thing to happen to us.”
