"Heh, I told myself I'd take it easy today, but here I am, busy the whole day again."
Inside the training room, Seii stood up, stretched lazily, and mumbled to himself.
However, despite the slight complaint in his tone, there wasn't the slightest trace of annoyance on his face.
It couldn't be helped—when things go exactly as planned and you get what you want, it's hard to be in a bad mood.
Of course, the best part was that he hadn't even paid a steep price for it.
Patting the sealing scroll inside his ninja tool pouch, Seii walked out of the training room, completely satisfied.
The mont he stepped outside, he saw a shadow clone standing by the door.
That's when he rembered—just as he had predicted, not long after he started his research, Konoha's patrol team, along with the Uchiha clan's patrol, had co looking for him.
Why had he predicted this?
Simple—the battle had taken place over at the graveyard, and after breakfast, he had gone there.
Since he hadn't expected to run into Uchiha Obito directly, he hadn't bothered concealing his presence.
So, the mont the village investigated, it wouldn't have taken much effort to trace his whereabouts.
From there, it was only natural that they would later seek him out to verify so details.
As for why they hadn't co because of his use of the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport ho?
That was easy to explain—Konoha's sensory barrier could only detect things passing through it but couldn't pick up on internal spatial fluctuations.
This very flaw had been exploited later during Pain's attack on Konoha.
Back then, Pain had first summoned the Animal Path inside the village. Then, using Summoning Jutsu, the Animal Path brought the other five bodies into Konoha.
Since only the Animal Path had physically passed through the sensory barrier, Konoha's barrier team initially reported that the enemy consisted of just one person.
That mistake had set up a serious ambush for those who rushed to respond.
For that reason, there was no way the village had co knocking on his door because of his teleportation.
Likewise, this was also why Uchiha Obito had dared to play his little ga of "hide and seek" with the Konoha ninja inside the village.
Shaking his head, Seii pushed those thoughts aside.
He dispelled the Shadow Clone Jutsu, absorbing the clone in front of him and reviewing its mories.
When the village and Uchiha patrol teams had co knocking earlier, he had been deep in his research. So, he had simply sent this shadow clone to deal with them.
He hadn't bothered asking for details afterward.
But now that he had so free ti, it was worth looking into.
Closing his eyes, Seii carefully sifted through the clone's mories.
From what he gathered, the village didn't seem all that suspicious of him.
However, Uchiha Shisui—who had accompanied the village patrol—seed to have noticed that "he" was rely a shadow clone.
That said, Shisui hadn't said anything about it.
After the patrol team completed their routine questioning, he simply left with them.
Opening his eyes, Seii pondered Shisui's possible thoughts, trying to determine whether the latter had connected him to the incident.
In the end, he figured it was a fifty-fifty chance.
There was about a 50% possibility that Shisui had realized sothing.
But no matter how much Shisui suspected, there was no way he had pieced together the full truth.
So, Seii decided not to dwell on it.
There was, however, one thing he needed to do—warn Shisui to be more cautious in the future.
His fight with Uchiha Obito today had undoubtedly made Obito suspicious of both him and Shisui.
Obito would definitely look for an opportunity to confirm his suspicions.
Seii himself wasn't worried. But Shisui was another story.
From the brief clash of their eyes last night, Seii could tell that Shisui's Sharingan had already reached the peak of the three-tomoe stage.
However, he was at least 90% certain that Shisui had yet to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.
That wasn't surprising.
After all, even in the other tiline, Shisui had most likely only awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan after the Nine-Tails attack.
The Sharingan is said to reflect the user's heart. Only when soone is caught between the clan and the village, desperately yearning to change the situation, does the eye evolve into the Mangekyō, unlocking a technique like Kotoamatsukami—a jutsu capable of permanently altering a person's will.
But at this point in ti, the Nine-Tails incident hadn't happened yet.
Both in the past life and this one, the relationship between the Uchiha clan and the village was in a "honeymoon phase" thanks to Namikaze Minato's diation.
With hope still in sight, there was no reason for Shisui to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan so easily.
Of course, Seii had no doubt that Shisui would eventually awaken it.
After all, his talent spoke for itself.
And awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan didn't necessarily require suffering through extre pain and despair.
As long as soone was emotionally sensitive enough, even strong positive emotions could trigger the transformation and unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan.
The only question then would be—what ability would he gain?
But that was a concern for later.
Right now, Shisui had yet to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Which ant that, at this mont, he was no match for Uchiha Obito.
Since Seii was the one who had stirred up trouble and brought this danger upon him, a simple warning was the least he could do.
But that was where he drew the line.
He had no intention of playing babysitter.
Having made up his mind, Seii let out a breath and rubbed his stomach, which was growling in protest.
Shaking off his fatigue, he stepped out of the house.
After a whole day, the rain had finally stopped.
With quick strides, he made his way to Konoha's bustling food street.
He grabbed a few snacks from street vendors before heading to his favorite high-end barbecue restaurant.
The familiar aroma filled his nostrils as he stepped inside.
Wasting no ti, he casually picked a window seat and started ordering.
This ti, he had no intention of gathering intel—he just wanted to enjoy a good al and indulge himself.
Since his "relaxing" day hadn't turned out so relaxing after all, he wasn't about to deprive his stomach too.
And so, he ate for over an hour—so much that even with his physique and a constitution rating of 22, he couldn't fit any more food in.
Only then did he pay the bill and leave the restaurant.
After that, he didn't linger.
A brief stroll to help with digestion, then he returned ho.
The mont he hit the bed, he was out.
In the past, he might have worried about wasting chakra before sleeping.
But that was no longer an issue.
With the All-Encompassing Sealing Technique storing his excess chakra, he could simply stash any surplus away without a second thought.
So tonight, he slept soundly.
