Still, the fact that they had managed to locate this area so quickly surprised him.

As a master manipulator, Danzo leaving behind so contingency asures there was perfectly normal.
So, it was only natural for these Anbu ninjas to follow the clues to this location.
That said, their investigation would be futile. All the evidence had already been destroyed, and Danzo, along with the other Root ninjas, had been completely annihilated—reduced to ashes with not a trace left.
Unless Orochimaru had already mastered the S-rank forbidden technique—**Edo Tensei (Impure World Reincarnation)**—and happened to have cell samples of these individuals to summon their souls back from the Pure Land...
Otherwise, no one would ever figure out what had happened here.
