Bang!

Danzo's lifeless body fell heavily to the ground. Even in his final monts, he remained under the control of the Mangekyō Sharingan, never regaining consciousness.

It could be said that his death was rather humiliating.

Looking back at everything Danzo did today, while there was intentional manipulation by Seii, much of it stemd from Danzo's own greed.

If he hadn't harbored malicious intent toward the Mangekyō Sharingan, he wouldn't have lost his clarity of mind.

Even so, dealing with him wasn't an easy task for Seii.

Thoughts flickered through Seii's mind as he lifted his head to look at the barrier that had remained in place above him since the start of the battle.

Now, the entire battlefield consisted only of Seii and the four individuals maintaining the barrier.

Seii had gone to great lengths to eliminate Danzo and his subordinates. Naturally, he wouldn't leave behind these loose ends.

Just as Seii prepared to eliminate them, the barrier suddenly disappeared.

Seii paused for a mont, then ford hand seals, activating the Shadow Clone Technique.

Poof!

A puff of chakra smoke spread out.

Seii's figure split into four identical clones.

They exchanged glances before each headed in a different direction.

Elsewhere

On the outskirts of the battlefield, the Red Rain Squad mbers maintaining the barrier acted in perfect sync. Upon confirming Danzo's death, they scattered in different directions without communicating, each intending to deliver the news back to the village for a decision.

Unfortunately, their plan was sound, but their strength was insufficient.

Even though Seii had just fought an intense battle and used the Shadow Clone Technique, these individuals were no match for him.

A few minutes later, Seii and his three shadow clones regrouped in the center of the forest.

Each clone carried a corpse—the four mbers of the Red Rain Squad.

Tossing the bodies onto the ground, Seii surveyed the battlefield.

Due to the all-out efforts of both sides, this area of the forest had been severely damaged.

In such a state, any experienced scout ninja observing the scene could deduce much about what had transpired—a situation Seii did not want.

As for whether the village could locate this place, Seii deed it unlikely.

Over the past ten days, both he and Danzo's subordinates had worked tirelessly to conceal their movents.

However, Seii didn't believe it would completely fool the village.

If Konoha conducted a deeper investigation, they would undoubtedly uncover so clues.

Previously, when nothing had occurred, the village could turn a blind eye.

But now that Danzo was dead, the village would undoubtedly investigate thoroughly.

After all, Danzo was one of Konoha's elders—a high-ranking mber of the village leadership. His death would demand a response; otherwise, where would the village's unity lie?

For this reason, Seii was certain this battlefield would eventually be exposed—it was just a matter of ti.

Since that was the case, he couldn't leave any obvious traces behind.

With that thought, Seii wasted no ti. He and his clones began cleaning up the battlefield.

The bodies of Danzo and his subordinates were incinerated using Fire Release: Cremation Technique, leaving no trace.

Next, Seii addressed the signs of the battle in the forest.

His approach was straightforward: unleash various high-powered jutsu to level the area. Check latest chapters at novel??fire

This way, any attempts to glean information from the scene would be futile.

Once this was done, Seii dispelled the Shadow Clone Technique.

He then activated Wind Release: Wings of Wind and Chakra Cloak, using his maximum speed to head toward the village.

It was foreseeable that Danzo's sudden death would throw the Root organization into chaos.

Seii intended to take advantage of this opportunity to raid Root's collection.

His plan to deal with Danzo wasn't just to eliminate a troubleso foe—it was primarily to claim the treasures stored by Root.

As for how he would execute this, Seii already had a plan.

Half an hour later

Seii returned to Konoha.

However, he did not use his real appearance. Instead, he used the Transformation Technique to disguise himself as a stranger.

While Root was in disarray, it hadn't completely collapsed yet.

Moreover, so mbers of Root knew that Danzo had set out to target Seii. As a result, there were already people staking out the village gates and his residence.

Thus, Seii had no choice but to conceal his movents.

After avoiding several Root organization's sentries, Seii moved forward and arrived at a forest on the outskirts of the village.

Beneath this area lay the headquarters of the Root organization within Konoha.

As for how he knew about this location, it was simple: during his first encounter with Root ninjas, he had extracted this information from their mories.

However, until now, he hadn't had the opportunity to act on it.

Now was the perfect mont.

Seii raised his hand, removing the "Guardian Seal" on his forehead, and then focused his energy to activate the Byakugan.

Imdiately, his vision penetrated through the Konoha forehead protector, revealing the situation at the underground entrance.

There were two Root ninjas stationed as guards.

After a brief consideration, Seii activated the Mangekyō Sharingan, unleashing the dojutsu housed in his left eye—Heaven Step!

Silently, his figure vanished.

Without wasting ti, Seii stepped out from behind a tree, completely ignoring the two gatekeeping Root ninjas, and walked directly into the base.

Once he was fully out of their line of sight, he deactivated Heaven Step, reappearing.

Looking at the empty base, Seii was montarily unsure of where to go.

While the mories he extracted from the Root ninjas provided the location of the headquarters, they contained no information about the interior layout.

Thus, to find the Root organization's vault, he would need to search on his own.

Fortunately, Danzo had taken many people on his recent mission, and several Root ninjas had also left the base to search for Danzo's whereabouts.

As a result, the base was sparsely populated, allowing Seii to search freely.

With a quick movent, he entered a corridor and activated the Byakugan, using its penetrating vision to explore the Root headquarters.

Ti ticked by, second by second.

About half an hour later, he found his target.

It was a hidden room filled with various books and scrolls.

Seii casually picked one up, and the contents imdiately filled him with joy. Written on it was none other than the thod for mastering the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Created by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, and perfected by Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, the technique was so coveted that even Danzo harbored ambitions for it.

Unfortunately for him, Danzo lacked the aptitude to learn it.

Even though he had managed to copy the technique from the Scroll of Seals, he was unable to master it.

Apart from the Flying Thunder God Technique, the other scrolls and books contained a plethora of jutsu, ranging from common techniques to rare ones.

Seii quickly skimd through them and discovered that many of the scrolls contained secret techniques from various clans within the village.

Although the information wasn't entirely complete, it was enough to reveal the extent of Danzo's ambitions.
