The sun rose and set.
In the blink of an eye, the second evening arrived.
Twin Peaks.
Northern Summit.
Seii sat cross-legged, eyes shut, his brows furrowing and relaxing intermittently. Faint veins appeared near his temples, giving the impression that he was engaged in a profound ntal storm.
In reality, he wasn't far off.
Monts ago, he had dispelled the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu, reclaiming all the clones he had sent out for training in the surrounding area.
At this mont, he was fully digesting the training experiences and mories accumulated by the clones over the past hour.
The massive influx of information in such a short span naturally left him in this state.
Fortunately, his ntal strength was formidable. Even after enduring such impacts intermittently throughout the day, he managed to hold firm.
About fifteen minutes later, Seii reopened his eyes.
In that instant, his gaze seed to glimr with an otherworldly brilliance.
He carefully reviewed the insights that had just surfaced in his mind.
After a long pause, he stood up and walked to the area where one of his shadow clones had previously been training.
It was a relatively open forest clearing. The ground and a few scattered large trees bore marks of lightning strikes, giving the place a stark and desolate appearance.
Indeed, this was where the shadow clone had been training the Lightning Style: Thunder Prison technique for the past day and more.
After over a day of practice, combined with the previous week's efforts, his Thunder Prison technique had finally reached the maximum level of mastery: lv7 (0/0).
Now, he had co to test the technique's power to deepen his understanding of it.
Surveying the area once more, Seii activated his Byakugan to confirm that no one else was nearby.
Raising his hand, he completed the hand seals in the blink of an eye.
Then ca a resounding crackle. Blinding lightning flashed around him.
In the next instant, a dense network of electric currents rained down like a storm, covering a radius of over ten ters. Everything within the area was subjected to a uniform lightning attack—everything except Seii.
That's right. Seii remained unhard.
The lightning seed almost sentient, deliberately avoiding a one-ter radius around him, leaving him untouched.
This allowed Seii to clearly observe the scene within the Thunder Prison.
However, according to the information he had obtained from the Mist Village Jonin, this technique was supposed to be an indiscriminate attack.
The current situation was clearly unusual.
In truth, this jutsu was indeed a non-selective, all-encompassing attack.
The reason the lightning was avoiding Seii was his deliberate control over the angles of the nearby electric currents.
But this was rely a temporary asure, achievable only when he still had energy to spare.
Once he pushed the technique to its limits, even he would not be spared from its effects.
The extent of this control depended on the caster's mastery of the technique and their chakra control.
Take Mist jonin as an example. For him to replicate Seii's current level of control, the Thunder Prison's range would not exceed ten ters around him.
Moreover, the density and intensity of the lightning attacks would be less than half of what Seii was now producing.
That was his limit.
But the current display was far from Seii's limit.
With a single thought, Seii infused more chakra into the technique.
The Thunder Prison's range began to expand—thirty ters, thirty-five ters, forty ters, forty-five ters...
Soon, it exceeded fifty ters.
At the sa ti, the density of the lightning increased to another level.
If the earlier lightning resembled a light drizzle, it now ca down as a torrential downpour.
Blinding flashes of lightning filled Seii's vision. Even with the Sharingan, it beca difficult to discern his surroundings.
The accompanying crackling and buzzing sounds of electricity pierced his eardrums, rendering him nearly deaf.
Under such circumstances, controlling the lightning to focus on specific targets was out of the question. Simply protecting himself was already a monuntal effort.
Indeed, this technique was worthy of its na: Thunder Prison.
Under such an intense lightning attack, even a Jonin would find it hard to escape unscathed, let alone a Genin. That is, unless they managed to avoid it before the lightning prison expanded or had so special ans of protection.
Otherwise, they'd inevitably face the fate of being struck by lightning.
Of course, only Seii could unleash this technique to such an extent.
If it were anyone else, without the assistance of a Sharingan and a proficiency panel, it would be impossible to achieve this level of mastery.
And yet, even this was not his limit.
Seii paused the ninjutsu, waiting for everything around him to return to calm. He took a deep breath, then raised his hands and ford a series of seals, activating the ninjutsu—Chakra Cloak!
Whoosh!
A faint blue glow enveloped his body, protecting him within its radiant light.
Without delay, he ford seals again, unleashing the ninjutsu—Lightning Release: Lightning Prison!
Crack!
A deafening roar echoed.
Blinding lightning flashed once more.
In the blink of an eye, the tangible lightning filled the area within a hundred-ter radius of him.
The bolts struck the ground, shattered trees, and filled the air, dominating Seii's entire field of vision.
At this mont, the "Lightning Release: Lightning Prison" reached the limits of his control.
It's well-known that wind is a poor conductor of lightning.
As such, Wind Release naturally counters Lightning Release.
Seii's "Chakra Cloak" was based on transformations in both the form and nature of wind-elent chakra.
So, the mont he acquired the "Lightning Release: Lightning Prison," he conceived the idea of using the "Chakra Cloak" to counteract its indiscriminate damage.
Just like now—first activating the "Chakra Cloak," followed by the "Lightning Release: Lightning Prison." This allowed him to unleash the full power of the Lightning Prison without limits.
And this was his true limit.
Zzzt-zzzt!
The crackling of the rampant electricity continued to hum.
After several seconds, everything finally cald down.
Looking around, even though Seii had ntally prepared himself, he couldn't help but gasp when he saw the scene before him.
The devastation was overwhelming.
In just a short mont, everything within the range of the Lightning Prison—whether flowers, grass, trees, soil, or rocks—had been scorched black as if struck by lightning.
No, they had been struck by lightning.
And not just one bolt—countless, densely packed bolts of lightning.
At the sa ti, the faint blue glow of the "Chakra Cloak" on Seii's body wavered and quietly dissipated due to unstable chakra supply.
Judging by the current protective level of his "Chakra Cloak," the fact that it had been pushed to its limits indicated that the attacks he endured every second were roughly equivalent to the power of two C-rank ninjutsu.
Under such conditions, it would be hell for any other ninja.
If trapped within it, they'd suffer grievous injuries if not outright death.
Though this was technically classified as a B-rank ninjutsu, the power Seii could unleash with it far exceeded that rank. Many would believe it to be an A-rank technique.
What made it even more terrifying was that its power could continue to grow with Seii's improved chakra control and advancents in the "Chakra Cloak" technique.
Its only drawback was that at full power, Seii had to first prepare his defenses.
This, inevitably, gave experienced ninjas ti to react.
Additionally, the lightning within the Lightning Prison didn't reach its maximum intensity instantaneously.
As a result, those quick enough to respond and with the proper counterasures would still have a chance to escape.
At the very least, they wouldn't suffer the worst of the damage.
But even so, it couldn't be denied that for Seii at this stage, this technique was a devastating weapon.
