Without hesitation, he moved straight to Inoue Ryu's side. At this mont, Inoue's abdon was still bleeding profusely, and his life force was rapidly waning.
Fearing he might die and waste this valuable resource, Seii quickly used the *Chakra Absorption Technique*, placing his hand on Inoue's body.
In the next mont, a large amount of chakra surged out from Inoue's body, flowing through Seii's hand and converting into his own chakra.
A few seconds later, Inoue's life force faded completely, and Seii stopped his technique.
Checking his status screen, he noted that his chakra had increased by about ten thousand points—slightly below the average of an elite jōnin. Seii understood why, given that Inoue was severely weakened, with both ntal and physical energy depleted.
Under these circumstances, absorbing ten thousand points of chakra was impressive. If his *Chakra Absorption Technique* hadn't already reached level 6, he likely wouldn't have gained as much.
Shifting his gaze, Seii approached the two remaining Kirigakure chūnin. With a quick hand sign, he activated *Chakra Absorption Technique* again.
One of them had been knocked out by physical force, and the other was under a genjutsu, so neither had suffered severe injuries. Their fight had been brief, so they hadn't used much chakra.
As a result, these two contributed a total of over eighteen thousand points of chakra—higher than most chūnin on the battlefield.
Altogether, these three added almost thirty thousand chakra points to Seii's reserves, surpassing 90% of most jōnin.
For now, he had an ample supply of chakra.
However, despite his success, Seii wasn't planning to linger. The procedure had been quick, but it had taxed his spirit and willpower.

The leader was none other than the Ice Release user, Yuki Muhana, whom Seii and Uchiha Shisui had fought together earlier.
Alongside him were several Kirigakure jōnin and a chūnin, Ito Hideaki, whom Inoue had sent to deliver a ssage.
Clearly, they were here to take Seii down.
Unfortunately, his quick actions allowed him to narrowly escape. Seeing the burnt bodies, Yuki Muhana and his team could do nothing but rage in frustration.

Seii returned as quietly as he'd left. He went to the command center, confird that there were no pressing tasks, and headed straight back to his quarters.
He didn't train or do anything else, just went straight to sleep.
There's nothing like a good night's sleep to ease exhaustion.
And he slept deeply, not waking until the following morning, a full twelve to thirteen hours later.
As the first rays of dawn slipped through the window, Seii felt an overwhelming sense of relief.
Not only had yesterday's fatigue disappeared, but months of accumulated exhaustion from restricted sleep had vanished as well.
Stretching, his joints crackled as he released a sigh of satisfaction. "Ah~, that feels great!"
He rolled out of bed and stood up.
After quickly washing his face in the washroom, he noticed a faint mark resembling "§" on his forehead in the mirror.
Touching it, he could sense the presence of his Byakugan, even though it was sealed.
This confird that yesterday's events had indeed happened, and he had completed the transformation.
"Another weakness removed. Good!" he muttered, continuing to wash up while pondering his next steps.
Yesterday, he'd decided not to focus further on perfecting the Byakugan until his Mangekyō Sharingan evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
For now, he would work on refining his other skills, starting with his Earth Release techniques. Only by mastering these could he properly control earth-natured chakra.
After that, he would shift to lightning-natured chakra.
Once he mastered all five chakra natures, he would have no weaknesses in conventional ninjutsu. Regardless of his opponent's technique, he would have a counterasure.

Though Seii didn't know if he could develop sothing similar, the possibility alone was enough to drive him forward.
