At the sa ti, in the Land of Fire, in the northeastern region, a figure suddenly appeared in the heart of a vast, untouched forest.
Seii.
"Haaa…"
As soon as he materialized, Seii couldn't help but take a deep breath. He'd already gotten a sense of this place through his wood clone's mories, but experiencing it in person? It hit different. "Man, the Land of Fire really is sothing else!" he exclaid, marveling at the place.
His Level 5 Natural Energy Perception was practically humming. This forest was brimming with natural energy—way more than Moon Island, at least three tis as dense, by his estimate. But that wasn't even the best part. The real kicker? This forest was massive.
That ant it had serious recovery power. Even if his Natural Energy Perception and Natural Energy Control leveled up and he started absorbing natural energy at a faster rate, he could just move to a different spot in the forest and keep pulling in plenty of energy. For the short term, at least, he wouldn't have to worry about running dry.
Still, there was a catch. Seii sensed the chakra he'd burned teleporting here from Moon Island using the Flying Thunder God Technique. No way could he have his shadow clones zipping back and forth between here and there—that'd drain him way too much.
But he also couldn't just abandon Moon Island. The volcano there was the perfect environnt for his Limit of the Body training. Without it, the effectiveness of his physical training would take a serious hit. The 300,000 points of sage chakra he was generating daily? Nowhere near enough to make up for that loss. Even if he could cover the gap, he wasn't about to ditch the volcano's benefits. Combining the two—Moon Island's volcano and this forest's natural energy—was the ultimate training setup.
"So…" Seii muttered, his mind racing as he pieced together a plan.
After so serious thought, he made his decision: he'd use both locations. He'd station shadow clones here to absorb natural energy, while keeping his other training on Moon Island. To recycle the natural energy, the clones here could just dispel themselves at set tis, sending the energy back to him. For replenishing clones, he'd have a wood clone act as a "ride," ferrying new shadow clones over.
Worried about drawing attention? No need. Shadow clones were just chakra and ntal energy bundled together—they could be sealed up and transported by a wood clone without raising any eyebrows. Exposure wasn't an issue.
This setup was just for his Limit of the Body training, though. Once he moved on to practicing the Wood Clone Technique or Heart Reflection Technique, he could teleport here directly and train in the forest, saving himself so hassle.
Oh, and Moon Island wasn't going to waste, either. Sure, its natural energy wasn't enough to support 100 shadow clones training for long stretches, but it could handle the first few hours of the day just fine. That ant he didn't need to send clones here right away. Even later, Moon Island could sustain a team of about 50 clones absorbing natural energy. So, he wouldn't need to overload this forest with clones—at least not until his Natural Energy Perception and Natural Energy Control broke through Level 5 and hit Level 6.
What about after that? Well, it'd depend on how effective Level 6 was. If the skills let him absorb natural energy faster, he'd station more clones here. If not, he'd keep the numbers lower. Either way, he'd figure it out when the ti ca.
Seii shook off those thoughts and got to work. Raising his hands, he ford seals and picked up where he left off on Moon Island, practicing the Wood Clone Technique.
Twenty minutes later, the hour-long training checkpoint hit. As usual, Seii recalled 12 shadow clones, maxing out the natural energy he could handle. He then funneled an equal amount of chakra into his abdominal space, rging it into sage chakra. Using that sage chakra, he powered through a round of physical enhancent.
Once that was done, he canceled the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, recalling over 400 shadow clones that had been working on Dust Release and a new sealing technique. Their mories flooded into his mind.
Seii closed his eyes, carefully sifting through the mories and absorbing the training experience they carried. It took a solid 15 minutes before he opened his eyes again.
In that mont, he had a fresh spark of inspiration about how to combine the chakra nature transformations of Fire, Earth, and Wind for Dust Release. He also had a new angle on developing the sealing technique.
Standing still, Seii ntally organized his ideas before raising his hands again and casting the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.
Poof! Poof! Poof!
In an instant, over 460 figures appeared around him. With the forest's abundant natural energy, he didn't need to pull clones away to work on the new sealing technique. He assigned 300 clones to keep developing Dust Release, 100 to research the new sealing technique, and the remaining 60 or so to spread out and absorb the forest's natural energy.
Once the clones dispersed, Seii got back to practicing the Wood Clone Technique.
Here's the cool part: after all his hard work, he was maybe two weeks away from maxing out the Wood Clone Technique. Once it hit its peak, it'd not only store more chakra but also free up four hours in his schedule. Those hours? He'd pour them into the Heart Reflection Technique to speed up his Sharingan's evolution.
Snapping his focus back, Seii shook his head and zeroed in on his training.
Three hours passed in a blur.
Late into the night, Seii finished his daily training plan. He teleported back to Moon Island and settled in to rest.
The next morning, he was up early, diving back into training. The first day, he tested the ideas he'd co up with the previous night to make sure his setup was solid. The second day, he fine-tuned the plan and officially kicked off his new routine.
But after just two days, it was ti for a break. Returning to the village, Seii could feel the tension in the air. Whether day or night, ninja patrols were everywhere. He knew why—mid-September was approaching, and Uzumaki Kushina's due date was getting closer. The village was on edge.
Still, Seii had everything under control, so there wasn't much for him to do. After a day of rest in the village, he headed back to Moon Island to start a new round of intense training.
And on the very first day of that round, he got hit with a double dose of good news.
