It was a cloudy day.

In the weeping sky, the light gray clouds overlapped with each other, giving off a heavy feeling that one should not have during the sumr.

The townspeople of Sur lived the sa life for many years. Everything was like a repeated movie, remaining unchanged.

On the outskirts of the small town, on a hill, the dilapidated tower stood quietly, casting a faint shadow.

On the side of the tower, a peaceful deceased was lying on the haystack.

Fina's father was wearing a clean and tidy mage robe, lying on a blanket, as if he was asleep.

On the side, Fina, Reiner, and Dr. Philip stood, doing the final farewell for the mage.

According to the custom of the mages, the fallen mages must use cremation. Perhaps this was the first ti in the town of Sur.

Fina approached the haystack and looked at her father whose eyes were closed. For a mont, she felt that he was just asleep. Perhaps the next second, he would wake up and call her na.

But that would not happen.

Fina didn't know what expression she should show, she thought she should dislike her father, or at least feel indifferent.

But at the last mont of this man, what he tried to call out was her na.

Fina was silent. She glanced at her father for the last ti, then raised her hand. A ball of scarlet flas jumped from her fingertips and quickly jumped onto the dry haystack. The sparkle suddenly turned into a spreading fla, igniting the entire haystack.

In the flas, Fina's father was gradually swallowed by the fire and finally turned into ashes.

The funeral lasted for a long ti until the last trace of embers extinguished. Fina seed relieved. She fell to her knees and whispered.

From now on, Fina Napishtim had no ho to go back to.

They packed the ashes properly in a black stone box, and buried them on the hill not far from the tower.

Here people could overlook the entire town of Sur. They could also see the vast grassland behind and the endless Sur Mountains.

There was a grave on the hill. It was Fina's mother's grave. They buried Fina's father next to her.

Naless flowers grew around the grave, blooming in this midsumr, bright and beautiful, full of vitality.

When everything was over, it was already evening.

Fina needed ti to sort out the tower. She decided to sell it and leave this piece of land forever.

"This is my father's study. It was here that he was found fainted. I haven't been in yet."

In the tower, Fina pointed to a room on the second floor and said.

The door of this room was not locked and could be opened with a light push. She and Reiner walked into it and found that it was like an ordinary mage's workshop, full of books and magic circle sketches in the middle of the room. In addition to books, there was a half-drank cup of tea on the huge table, as if Fina's father hadn't gone away, and he just took a break.

"Mr. Reiner, I will try to arrange everything by tomorrow."

Fina glanced at the workshop and said to Reiner. She felt that she had spent too much of Reiner's ti.

"It's okay, let's take a rest today."

Reiner stroked Fina's head and told the girl to go back and lie down for a while.

After sending Fina away, Reiner glanced at the contents of the workshop again, and was about to close the door, but caught a glimpse of a notebook on the table next to him.

He was dazed for a second, hesitated for a mont, then stretched out his hand and took out the notebook.

This was a notebook with a cowhide cover. On it, a few faded gilded fonts could be seen vaguely, with words such as Rainbow Tower and so Academy written on it.

Reiner took a deep breath, opened it, and saw the words "Diary" written neatly on the title page.

Obviously, this was a diary left by Fina's father.

This was not an everyday diary, but it was written once every few days. Rainer opened it and began to read it.

......

15th, the month of Dragon Sleep, Blue Moon Calendar 2296, Snow.

It was really cold today. I bet that the Rainbow Tower has not experienced such a low temperature in at least a hundred years, but thanks to this, there were fewer people in the library, and I could finally read His Excellency Braggs' work quietly for a while.

I like a quiet library, but as long as Clark Holland is there, there are always many girls chatting around him. To be honest, I sotis think that these girls are not here to learn magic, but simply to choose their future husbands.

But today, even though that playboy was not there, I still could not study hard. Why? You asked. Because there was another troubleso person, she is called Teresa or sothing. She kept asking so stupid questions. She wasted a lot of my ti!

......

2nd, the month of Hidden God, Blue Moon Calendar 2297, Sunny.

I feel like I've underestimated Teresa's perseverance. For half a month, as long as I showed up in the library, she would buzz around like a fly, although the questions she asked recently didn't seem so stupid, she is still very annoying.

It made start to sympathize with Clark Holland, that poor guy, there is always more than one girl beside him, how does he handle that?

In addition, the reason why I didn't get first place in the last exam was that I didn't want to be dispatched to attend so boring parties because of being the first place. This kind of trouble should be left to the guy Clark.

Oh no, that annoying girl is here again, today is the second day of the new year, why is she so diligent!

Now that she is here, I must scare her away with the beauty of His Excellency Alberton's calculus this ti!

......

27th, the month of Crow's Whisper, Blue Moon Calendar 2297, Overcast.

Today was weird, yes, very weird.

Because Teresa didn't co to the library to find .

You know, she had always co to the library to harass since the month of Dragon Sleep last year, no matter how windy or rainy it was. But today, I didn't see her.

Did she finally know the gap between her and ?

Or was there sothing unexpected?

Or she was kidnapped by Clark, that guy?

No, I shouldn't be distracted. Today's learning efficiency was really bad. Obviously, His Excellency Alberton's formula is so beautiful, but I couldn't read a single word. It was all her fault!

I have to ask for an explanation!

......

28th, the month of Crow's Whisper, Blue Moon Calendar 2297, Overcast.

Well, I didn't expect Teresa to be ill. Didn't that idiot say that she wouldn't catch a cold?

In any case, I should not spend ti taking care of her. I am going to beco a high-level mage in the future, so how can I be held back by such an idiot.

But it was very uncomfortable to see her appearance on the hospital bed.

Before going back to the dormitory tonight, maybe I will buy so fruit to visit her?
