Yu Songsong saw Jiang Linyuan's reply. She typed many words, but then deleted them all, finally sending just one line:

"Will Senior be coming to the Student Union gathering tomorrow night?"

After seeing the ssage sent, she stared at Jiang Linyuan's WeChat profile picture, steeled her heart, blocked him in one go, then placed her phone face down by her pillow.

She didn't want to see Jiang Linyuan's answer.

Whether good or bad.

Yu Songsong curled up under the blanket, like an injured hedgehog.

You were so good to , so why did you reject ?

If you don't like , then why were you so good to ?

Thinking this in the darkness, she didn't continue to dwell on it. Right now, she just wanted to sleep.

Maybe when she woke up the next day, she wouldn't think about any of it anymore.

...

The next day, Yu Songsong woke up later than usual. She had no morning classes, so it didn't matter.

She got out of bed and went to the mirror. The corners of her eyes were crusted with dried tears, her hair was dry and ssy.

She had no energy at all.

So ugly.

She thought.

After a simple wash-up, without putting on any makeup, she made herself a cup of cold dicine, and only then did she feel a bit of strength return to her body.

She handled so matters related to the sports et in the morning, her head feeling fuzzy.

Yu Songsong glanced at the WeChat profile picture on her phone she hadn't dared to open, and simply turned her phone off.

Returning to the dorm, she directly lay down on the bed.

When she woke up again, she felt her throat was dry and uncomfortable.

Checking the ti, it was five-thirty, one hour left before the gathering.

Climbing down from the bed, giving herself a quick tidy-up, she grabbed her bag and headed out.

The cold wind on the way made her feel icy all over.

Oh no, feels like the cold is worse. I'll go back and sleep properly.

Yu Songsong thought as she walked into the restaurant's private room. The temperature inside made her feel slightly better.

She scanned the room and randomly found a spot to sit down.

He didn't co.

Sniffling, Yu Songsong buried her head.

"Are... you okay?"

A familiar voice sounded beside her ear. She looked up.

It was that very lively junior who's always around Senior, Lin Yilin.

"You look flushed. Do you have a cold?"

Lin Yilin asked with concern.

Who asked for your concern?

Yu Songsong pulled her head back, unwilling to look at her, and muttered:

"I'm fine."

After a while, the Student Union mbers had mostly arrived.

Yu Songsong felt dazed, thinking the air conditioning in the room might be set too high. It was so warm and cozy she was almost falling asleep.

Her mind was heavy and muddled as she listened to the people around her chatting.

"Did soone sign up as an athlete just to slack off again this ti?"

"Haha, if the spots weren't full, I'd have wanted to go too."

So signing up as an athlete lets you slack off? I should have gone too if I'd known.

"Too bad the better events were already picked by others."

"I heard soone signed up for the 3km. That can't be considered easy, right? Why bother?"

Haha, what an idiot, running three thousand ters just to slack off. So ridiculous.

Can't take it anymore, head's so dizzy. I'll rest my head a bit longer.

Yu Songsong rested her head, not knowing how much ti had passed, when she suddenly felt a gust of cold wind.

"I'm late. Is everything okay?"

It was Jiang Linyuan's voice.

Yu Songsong raised her head and saw a boy in a black sweater smiling at everyone. Paired with his handso face, he looked very dashing.

He chatted and laughed with a few people, completely heating up the atmosphere in the room.

After a while, he sat down in front of her, seemingly wanting to say sothing.

"Senior."

She spoke first.

In a voice only the two of them could hear.

"Don't talk to

right now."

"I haven't cried for almost a month. If you talk to

now, I'll burst into loud sobs right in front of everyone, not leaving you any face at all."

She sniffled.

Jiang Linyuan then didn't speak, just nodded at her, then turned and left, walking out of the private room.

It was quite sad indeed.

Yu Songsong watched his retreating figure, feeling like opening a sauna door, being hit by a face full of dense white mist that made it hard to breathe.

She wanted to bury her head deeper, but was afraid tears would suddenly fall, so she could only tilt her head back and look at the dazzling light overhead.

But the light felt too harsh too, making her eyes sting.

After a while, he sat down beside her again, a patch of shadow blocking the overhead light.

It was a brand new sun hat.

Yu Songsong lowered her head. Soon after, tears welled up in her eyes, wetting her sleeve as the dampness spread.

"Senior, I like you."

"I know."

"I won't change my mind about this."

"That's good. Keep your own thoughts."

Yu Songsong laughed, her face covered in tears, but she laughed very happily:

"This is the kind of person I am. This kind of person is Yu Songsong."

She suddenly opened her arms and tightly wrapped them around Jiang Linyuan's neck:

"Senior, I will make you completely fall for , fall for this kind of ."

"I won't easily let go of my own happiness. That's the lesson you taught , Senior."

Jiang Linyuan didn't know what to say, could only sigh:

"I'm not as good as you think I am."

"I've said it before, Senior."

Yu Songsong raised her eyes, wiped her tears, stared at his face, looking quite disdainful:

"Anyway, that's what I think."

After saying that, she pressed down on the sun hat on her head, her burning hot cheek pressed against Jiang Linyuan's chest:

"I have a cold today, I really can't hold on anymore, Senior, take

back."

"I can't enter the girls' dorm."

Jiang Linyuan said as he began helping Yu Songsong walk out of the private room.

"Then we won't go. Wherever Senior takes , I'll go."

She said stubbornly.

"Then let's go to the hospital first."

Jiang Linyuan said.

Yu Songsong kicked him, but it didn't hurt at all.

"Senior, do you rember the day I introduced myself?"

She asked.

Jiang Linyuan replied:

"I only rember you said you liked traveling and music."

"Mhmm, mhmm, mhmm."

Yu Songsong nodded.

"Do you still like them now?"

Jiang Linyuan asked.

"I like them, but I like lots of things."

Yu Songsong blinked at Jiang Linyuan.

She really didn't like the feeling of having a cold, but on this night, she wished this ti could slow down a little more.

"Hello, Senior, my na is Yu Songsong, just call

Songsong. I like you."

She buried her head against Jiang Linyuan's chest and said this.

Just like when she was introducing herself back then.
