"Help you? How?"
Hera looked at Eros, clearly confused.
But Eros didn’t answer her question right away. Instead, he released the binding he’d placed on Acheron.
"You’re of no more use. Go."
Acheron hesitated briefly, but after testing the limits and finding that Eros was genuinely letting her go, she darted off into the darkness.
"Aren’t we going to look for Cronus anymore?"
Hera’s confusion deepened. Without Acheron’s guidance, they had no direction in this abyss—completely lost in the dark.
"No need. That was just to pass the ti. Now it’s no longer necessary," Eros said. "But later, I might need you to help with a tiny little thing."
As Hera stared at him with growing confusion, Eros closed his eyes again, fully activating his [Cosmos].
He silently thanked the divine assist from the goddess Athena. Once they were out of here, he’d be sure to express his heartfelt gratitude.
Following the guiding sense of his [Cosmos], Eros continued to search for those steadily appearing lights—each one a newly awakened spark, scattered like stars in the void.
anwhile, on Mount Olympus, Athena and Protheus were busy.
Using soil imbued with Gaia’s essence, and mixing it with Eros’s blood—highly diluted—they molded it into the shape of a human. Then Athena blew a breath of life into it.
Unexpectedly, the clay figure didn’t transform into a human imdiately like in previous creation rituals.
Instead, it gradually took the form of a fleshy embryo, rapidly developing until it cried out with its first breath after just a few monts.
Athena poked the baby with curiosity, and the child t her gaze without fear—only wide-eyed wonder at the world.
"Does this count as a proper new human?" she asked.
"I don’t know," Protheus murmured, uncharacteristically opening her eyes. Her colorless pupils reflected nothing at all.
She tried to divine sothing, but saw nothing.
"But clearly, it’s different from the previous two generations of humanity."
A weaker body, yes, but with a far more intense hunger for life and curiosity about the world.
They couldn’t say whether this was a success or a failure. It wasn’t until the ssenger delivered the [King of the Gods’ decree] that they finally relaxed.
From there, the work beca repetitive.
Seeding these new humans across the vast earth was a massive undertaking.
"Hey, would this make the child yours, Eros’s, and the Great Mother’s?"
Gaia’s soil provided the body, Athena’s breath the soul, and Eros’s blood—well, that was just a bonus ingredient.
"Don’t say weird things. Let’s just finish the job."
Athena waved it off, hurrying Protheus along.
After this, they still had to consult the Moirai to adjust ti across the world.
Thanks to the diligent effort of the two goddesses, wave after wave of new humans was spread swiftly across the land.
Deep in Tartarus, Eros continued to sense these lights—each new life igniting like a tiny star.
Every one of them carried a [seed of power] magnetic force and the energy of the [Cosmos]—passed down from Eros.
Of course, most would likely never awaken even one of them in their lifeti.
The magnetic force, in particular, could beco a serious problem if left unchecked. Eros made a ntal note to control its environntal influence in the future.
Otherwise, if too many people beca obsessed with each other, the world might spiral into chaos. Zeus might even have to send a great flood to clean things up.
For now, though, Eros could use these seeds of power to help him escape from the depths of Tartarus.
All the newly born [Cosmos] energy originated from him. So, to a certain extent, he could sense it and resonate with it.
This aligned perfectly with the [Eighth Sense]—the domain of [Alaya].
Once he realized this, Eros already had a plan.
He would push his [Cosmos] to its very limits and resonate with the source of power in those new humans.
Through this resonance, he hoped to briefly touch the [Eighth Sense] and use it to break free from Tartarus.
[Alaya] the sense that transcends life and death.
If he could achieve that state, even temporarily, he would no longer be bound by the Underworld and could move freely.
But to create that resonance with the seeds of power, Eros would need to burn his [Cosmos] to the absolute extre.
And for that, he’d need Hera’s help.
So, he patiently waited for the human seeding to be complete. While adjusting his state, he waited for the right mont.
Hera was getting suspicious. Sothing about Eros felt... off, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
He just kept sitting there, completely still, while she gradually got more and more bored.
Ugh. She had no idea when her avatar would be retrieved. Was she supposed to rely on Eros’s vague plan?
He did say he needed her help, but what kind of help could she possibly offer?
Eros focused all his strength, endlessly fueling his [Cosmos] in this void of nothingness.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t create resonance. The problem wasn’t distance.
He was simply too far from reaching [Alaya].
He had only recently stepped into the [Seventh Sense], [Manas]. There was no way he could jump to the next stage so quickly.
"It’s no use. I really do need your help after all," Eros said, opening his eyes and standing up.
"? What can I even do?"
Seeing him finally move, Hera huffed.
Eros letting Acheron go had left her so bored she thought she’d explode.
"Don’t worry, it’s simple. Just follow everything I say," he said, extending his hand.
"Here, take my hand."
Hera hesitated, but figured a little physical contact wasn’t a big deal. She placed her hand in his.
Got her!
A subtle, almost uncontrollable smile crept across Eros’s face. (T/L: Bruh)
He suddenly pulled her into his arms. (T/L: Lolll😂)
"What are you doing?!"
Hera was startled and furious. She tried to get up, but Eros locked her arms tightly, his [Cosmos] energy holding her whole body still.
"I’m pretty sure I already told you this," he whispered into her ear, his voice tinged with teasing ambiguity.
"My power is fueled by my emotions and desires. The stronger my emotions and the firr my will, the more powerful I beco."
"What does that have to do with ?!"
Her youthful, beautiful face began to flush, part anger, part... sothing else. Maybe it was their overly close proximity.
"Of course it has sothing to do with you."
His fingers gently interlocked with hers, while his other hand softly caressed her cheek.
"What do you think I desire the most? What’s the thing I most want to do? And what about you is most attractive to ?"
"So... now do you understand how you can help ?"
