"What is the system thinking? Announcing the end of my streaming activity? I don't get it." He muttered and held his head.
If he didn't follow the quest, the system would be uninstalled and there would be a hard road ahead of him?
What kind of hard road was it? And would the two [Miracle Tickets] he saved for ergency would lose its effect?
Probably not. The system only ntioned uninstallation, not deletion. So the effect should remain.
However, he didn't understand why the quest he received was to retire.

Max sighed. He then looked up at the ceiling, feeling helpless and frustrated. He was angry at the system, but he didn't want to lash out in anger.
To be honest, his future was already secured. He could be anything he wanted. A businessman, an artist, or even an entertainer in real life. Lily could help him enter the business while Atlas and Ferin could introduce him into a modeling job.
So, he had no worries about the money.

He wanted to continue streaming.

Following the quest had always been a fun experience as he thought of it as a ga. But now? The quest tried to control his quest.

As Max contemplated his new quest, Lily finished taking a shower and left the bathroom.
She walked into the room, wearing cute, blue pajamas. Her hair was wet and she was holding her clothes in one hand, while carrying a towel on her shoulder.
"Max, you can- Did sothing happen?" Lily asked when she noticed his expression. She approached him and sat next to him on the edge of his capsule, "Your face is not looking so good."
"..." He smiled wryly, "Is that so?"
"Yes. Did sothing happen while you're waiting for to co out?" She looked at him with a worried expression. "Did you get bad news?"
"You could say that, yes."
"...Do you want to tell ?"
Did he want to tell her?
Yes.
But would he? The answer was no. The existence of his system was sothing he couldn't reveal to anyone, including his lover. Not that he couldn't, but it would make no senses.
"I can't." He replied honestly. "Sorry, but this is sothing I can only solve myself. I hope you understand. But... I can ask you about sothing else. This is just an if scenario, okay?"
Lily looked at him in confusion, but he continued.
"If I said I wanted to retire from streaming, would you be angry at ?"
"...?!"
His sudden question caught Lily off guard, her mouth opened slightly. She didn't say anything for a mont. She was surprised, but not angry. Then, she closed her mouth, and thought for a bit, before opening her mouth again.
"If you really want to stop, then I won't force you." She smiled gently and held his hand, "Max... You know, I love you no matter what you are doing. You can do anything you want to do, and I'll still support you no matter what. Even if you decided to quit, I would support your decision and stand beside you. But..."
Lily looked into his eyes, and her expression changed to a serious one,
"...If you are lying to , I would umm... get mad. You saved . You showed the way to be happy and to live my life to the fullest. You are the reason I am happy. And I love you, so... I would be really sad if you lied to and gave the cold shoulder after all we've been through. That's why, if you're not happy with what you're doing right now, I won't forgive you if you're not telling ."
Max was silent for a mont, thinking.
Streaming was fun.
At first, he only played gas and streams because his body couldn't do anything else. He was confined in a dark dical room. It was the only activity he could do without having to do much movent. And when the miracle happened, he continued streaming for the joy of gaming and streaming.
But, sowhere along the way, the reason changed.
It was not about the joy of gaming or streaming, anymore. He just liked streaming because he could share the fun with many people.
And the more he stread, the more he enjoyed it.
It was the joy of sharing the experience with others.
eting new people and talking with them was also a fun experience for him.
Even the hate comnt that ca from the stream, they made him stronger and made his bond with the viewers beca stronger.
It was like an obstacle in the path of life that he must overco. A path that he had to jump over. If he could conquer this challenge and prove to his haters that he could stream like anyone else, it would an that he had succeeded and that he was not inferior to others.
It would prove that he could be a strear like any others, even though his condition was far from normal.
And so, for him, streaming had beco his way of proving to the world that he could be a strear. He didn't want to give it up.
He wanted to continue streaming.
After all, that was what he loved to do.
"I am happy. Streaming is my passion and my job now." He finally replied after a long silence. "I just imagine the future when I retire. It seems... dark, you see?"
Lily looked at him and nodded, "Then, I will support your decision no matter what you choose to do." She then suddenly blushed and added. "If you stop, then that ans you can spend more ti with , you know?"
Max raised his eyebrow, "Oh, are we that greedy?"
She smiled mischievously and leaned her body on him.
"Maybe a little bit. Just a bit more than usual."
She kissed his cheek, then hugged him.
He hugged her back and smiled.
After talking with Lily, he made his decision.
