The dark tunnel extended far and wide. Max walked carefully while holding the tong in his hand. The Tarot Card had finished its cooldown, so he could use it again.
The tunnel looked natural, as if it wasn't dug by humans.
"Did the evil spirit dug the tunnel? Or an animal?" Max wondered as he observed the walls.
— Evil spirit probably dug the tunnel lol
— Animal, huh. What if it is a mole?
— Mole will dig tunnels, but I don't think it's that big.
— So we're facing a miner evil spirit? Damn. What did he use this tunnel for?
"But it looks natural. Maybe it's created from an earthquake or sothing.." Max continued as he pondered about this.
It wasn't an important detail, but he spoke to make the watching experience better. There was a need to make sure the viewers were imrsed in the ga.
Roleplaying was essential in that regard. Not that he would do a full blown roleplay by now, though.
He walked deeper into the tunnel until he saw a flickering light in the distance.
Narrowing his eyes, Max approached the light source slowly.
"Is that the end?" He asked himself while wondering if he reached the objective.
The chat also wondered. So knowledgeable viewers wanted to give him hints but were stopped by older ones.
There were no spoilers allowed in the chat. Max had created those rules before to make sure that he would have a genuine reaction over what happened in the ga.
In this case, he was unsure whether he could approach the light or not. Usually, red light and flickering light ant bad. Like a horror movie.
He should avoid it.
But this was an exorcist ga. He had to go to a bad place and faced an evil spirit there.
So, Max moved closer to the light. Slowly but surely.
Continue your adventure at empire
— This is nerve wracking
— Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
— Breeze, run!
Max rolled his eyes. The chat was nervous while he felt nothing.
Well, he was nervous, but he was good at hiding it. No matter how courageous or crazy or whatever he was, he would feel scared if he was in such a situation.
And this was just a ga.
No, maybe because he knew that this was a horror ga, he beca more scared than usual.
Of course, he didn't show that feeling to the chat. They might roast him for being scared of a horror ga.
When he arrived near the light source, Max discovered that it was indeed an exit of the tunnel. It led into an abandoned mine with broken mining carts and rusted equipnt lying around.
"Whoa, this looks like a horror setting." He comnted while looking around.
— Totally a horror movie setting
— Breeze, this is the part where you should be careful!
— Where is the evil spirit? Show up!
— Ghost! Please show up!
Max ignored the chat as he looked around. The evil spirit must be sowhere here.
Suddenly, he noticed sothing odd. There were signs of excavation in this mine. Holes were dug randomly as if soone searched for sothing.
"Are they searching for gold or sothing? A treasure? Did they dig for coal?" Max wondered as he walked around.
He noticed sothing else.
Footprints on the ground. It belonged to humans. They were pretty easy to spot as if the developer prepared them for a player to find. A good detail to make the ga easier.
"Samuel said his father fell into this hole. But... What if his father actually went into this hole instead of fell?" He thought as he followed the footprints.
Then, he saw bloodstains on the floor. Max frowned as he crouched down and touched it.
"It's fresh." He concluded as he looked serious.
Of course, he only said it was fresh because the blood hadn't dried yet. He just acted like an all-knowing detective who could identify a cri scene just by looking at it.
— Detectived Breeze!
— From an exorcist to a detective...
— That look, lol. It's Breeze's detective look
Max continued following the footprints. Soon, he found sothing. A dead body in one of the holes. It was a man, possibly the villager that Samuel talked about.
The man had bite marks on his neck and looked pale.
"Another victim." He muttered as he checked the body.
There was sothing strange about the body, though. It had blood flowing from the neck, which ant it was killed recently. Yet, the corpse looked dried up already.
"This is definitely not the evil spirit's work. The skin isn't pale, so he isn't a zombie. Soone deliberately killed him." Max muttered as he stood up and looked around.
— Are we facing a serial killer with an evil spirit?
— Holy shit, a murder!
— Who the fck killed him tho
— kekw, soone is bleeding = killed. Are you sure about that, Breeze?
Max frowned upon reading those guys' comnts.
"Shut up and let think." He said and walked around the corpse. "If Samuel's father fell into the hole, then why would this man be here? Rather, who is his father? Is this man his father? And what is he doing here? Does this an?"
— Samuel lied
— This is a conspiracy lol
— He is a serial killer who kills his own villagers!
— The evil spirit has been among us!
— So sus. Return to the surface, Breeze. There is nothing more to see here.
"Right." He agreed with the chat this ti. He couldn't continue either as he had arrived at dead end.
The only way to progress was the surface.
Max left the mine and returned to the surface. Samuel was nowhere to be seen when he reached there. He might be eaten by the zombie villagers.
Talking about those villagers...
"There is no one here, but... fog has appeared. This only an one thing."
Whenever there was fog or rain in this ga, evil spirit was bound to appear.
"Show up! Evil spirit!" Max shouted as he lifted his tong.
No one answered him, though. So, he sighed and jumped into Samuel's hole. He slid down the tunnel and landed on his feet.
Then, he sat down, hugging his legs.
"Haa... That was embarrassing. I looked stupid shouting like that." He muttered as he waited for sothing to happen.
