The studio that Lily rented was pretty close to where they lived. It only took 5 minutes to walk to the location.
Max was pretty surprised when he arrived and found out why Lily was in that park when he visited.
"I was just returning from recording a song I never released and decided to exercise in the park." That was what she said.
Putting that aside, the studio was pretty small. It had a private feeling instead of being open to the public or to a large company. This was probably built by putting indie music creators in mind.
The price written on the glowing hologram screen near the entrance showed an affordable price, both at an hourly rate and a project rate.
The hourly rate was self-explainable.
As for the project rate, it was different depending on the project. A single, an EP, or a full album like what Lily tried to make. The package received was also different.
The forr was only for renting the studio. But if one took a project package, the studio's producer would also help mix the song with the vocals so one didn't need to hire another remixer anymore.
Lily took the album package deal, often called a flat deal.
Max wondered how much she paid for the recording studio for 7 to 8 songs. And when he asked her, Lily answered pretty casually.
"Hmm, each song is around 3 to 10K depending on the difficulty and how many revisions I want. My last album cost around 50K, I think? I don't know how much I will spend on this album. But I believe Zaza-P would price fairly. We have worked together many tis before, and my brother trusts him."
"So he's a certified good artist?" Max said.
Getting StoneSword's trust was more difficult than eting your favorite strear or celebrity. Hell, it might even be more difficult than eting a country's president in person.
Having that siscon's trust ant that the person was either that skilled or had a good attitude. Most probably both because he wouldn't trust soone who had a bad attitude, especially when it concerned Lily.
Entering the studio, they were greeted by a pretty starking man with bright green hair. His clothes also… stood out. He was like a fashion model with a pretty unique sense of color and decoration. Light green was his choice, and glitter was the decoration to go.
"Oh, my! Welco, lil Lily. Been a long ti since you visited."
The man cat walked toward them and stopped a ter away, putting his hands on his hips. He looked at Max and his eyes sparkled.
"My, oh my!" His long eyelashes moved as he got close to Max. "Who is this cute guy over here?"
Feeling an imdiate danger, Max jumped backward. He almost crashed against the wall but managed to stop himself with his hands.
This was the first ti he felt sothing far more dangerous than a Behemoth in rcenary Quest.
"Zaza-P." Lily's voice was lower than usual, her eyes narrowed dangerously as she looked at the feminine man. "Distance. Don't get too close to Max."
"Ah! Forgive ." The green-haired man, Zaza-P, put on a troubled look as he stepped back. "I have bad eyesight, you know? And I am afraid of surgery, so I live this way. Ah, glasses destroy my aesthetic, so I never wore them except when I was working."
'Then how do you know that I am cute? Or rather, why am I called cute?!' Max complained in his head as he approached them again, standing behind Lily as a protection.
Zaza-P didn't seem to have a bad intention at all, so he braced himself.
"For context, I love cute guys. Are you taken?" Experience new tales on empire
Scratch that, this man was dangerous. Max put him on top of the danger list.
"He's mine," Lily exclaid, taking Max's arm and hugging it. "Don't touch him."
Max looked at Lily and saw a pair of bunny ears flapping around on top of her head. Of course, it was just his imagination, but if she had them, they surely would've stood up right now to protect what was hers from other people.
In response to her threat, if it could be called that, Zaza-P put his hand on his cheek.
"How cute. Lil Lily is grown up, huh? You have a boyfriend now." He said with a giggle. "Is he the reason you were able to write songs again? If so, I must thank this boy. Recovering from a slump can be hard for a musician, especially a talented one.
Thank you for pulling her out of it."
Hearing the sincere words from Zaza-P, whose first impression wasn't really good, made Max a little troubled. But he was trusted by StoneSword. And from what transpired earlier, he seed to care about Lily too.
"I didn't do anything."
At least Max would try to talk to him without judging and forget about what happened earlier.
"No, you did help her." Zaza-P continued, turning to Lily. "Co on, lil Lily. I won't touch your man, alright? Let's co inside and see your sample. Is it another solo for her as usual? Ah, your boyfriend knows, right?"
Lily nodded at the question. "Un. And the first song is a duet. With him." She said, pointing at Max. "I also plan to reveal my face on my singing channel. I am old enough now and want to be serious with it."
The man's face morphed. His jaw dropped as his casual tone disappeared.
"Are you serious, lil Lily? If you show your face… Many problems that were buried because you were anonymous will be open directly to you, you know?"
"Un, I am serious," Lily answered.
Sensing the tense atmosphere, Max added.
"Please don't worry about that. Ston– I an, Peter and I will do sothing about them." He confidently said with a bright smile. "Rumors or dramas… They are pretty easy to take care of."
Both Zaza-P and Lily looked surprised. The forr laughed rrily while the latter blushed, unable to handle Max's confident statent.
"Hahaha, you're right. There is Peter boy backing lil Lily. There is nothing to worry about."
The green-haired man continued laughing as he turned around, opening a door leading into the recording studio.
"Well, please enter, lil Lily. Send the samples to my email and let listen to them for a minute. After that, we can continue with the recording, just like usual. Sounds good?"
Recovered from her embarrassed state, Lily nodded. "Un. Sounds good."
"Great!" Zaza-P clasped his hands together. "Now, welco to my studio, Max boy. And welco back, my greatest little Diva. Let's create an epic coback, shall we?"
