Seunghoon chuckled. He cracked his neck to the side, feeling that it was strained. The fatigue had finally settled into his bones.
[Party] Red: Thanks for the gas. You two are solid.
[Party] Tetsu: Right back at you. Honestly, that Seryn was sothing else.
[Party] KaiZen: Yeah. If you keep playing like that, we'll probably see your na climbing the leaderboards soon.
[Party] Red: That's the plan.
[Party] Tetsu: Just ssage us if you wanna run again soti.
[Party] KaiZen: Or if you need soone to play, hit us up. We'll play when we're free.
[Party] Red: Got it. I'll reach out again.
With one last ssage, Seunghoon clicked [Leave Partyy]. The main lobby returned to his screen.
Seunghoon let out a long breath.
His hand moved to close the client, then shut down his browser windows one by one. The room was quiet now. The only light in his room ca from his monitor, and even that was fading as his desktop slowly dimd.
Seunghoon pushed his chair back. He stood up and walked over to his bed.
His legs felt heavy, and his wrists were sore. But his mind was filled with excitent.
Finally, he was able to play for hours just like he used to.
Seunghoon collapsed onto the mattress with a soft thud. He spread his arms across, feeling the space. He stared up at the ceiling in silence, his breathing was starting to beco slower.
He looked back at what happened for the day.
He played 5 classic gas, t his parents, and then played ten ranked matches in a row.
He just accomplished 2 missions at the sa day.
That was such a big thing.
And it didn't end on that. He even t two random players who had good skills. He knew that they were Smurfs based on the way they played.
Well, he can't say much since he benefited from it.
"Haaa... I still got it," he murmured under his breath, voice barely audible in the dark.
But even with that satisfaction, he still wanted more.
Just then, a sudden thought crossed his mind.
Seunghoon took his phone from the side. The screen lit up his face as he opened a search engine. His eyes were filled with curiosity as he searched for sothing.
Rise of Legends Pro Scene 2025
He scrolled through recent articles, news updates, and forum threads. He also went to look for tournant schedules, roster changes, patch discussions, and power rankings for each team.
He quickly read everything, catching up on nas that now felt familiar and others that were entirely new. The ga had changed.
New teams had risen and old pros had retired.
There were players with tens of thousands of fans, sponsors, live streams, and team contracts.
One headline caught his eye.
"Midlane Kings: Who's Dominating the Scene Right Now?"
He tapped into the article. His eyes skimd through the nas: Ravn, PLuto, NightJay, Fysol, Eno.
None of them were familiar to him.
Seunghoon sighed.
He used to be on that list.
Now, it felt like he was staring into a world he no longer belonged to.
Yet... that didn't discourage him.
Instead, it lit sothing in his chest.
"I'm coming back," Seunghoon whispered.
And this ti, he vowed that he would go even further.
Seunghoon turned to the side as he read another article.
Rise of Legends Pro Scene 2025
Rise Pro League, or RPL was the highest level of competition for Rise of Legends that a player could join for each region.
RPL ran across the year in three major splits: Spring, Sumr, and Fall. Each split lasted about three months.
The Spring Split ran from April to June.
Sumr is from June to August.
Fall from September to November.
Each split followed a round-robin format, where 12 professional teams faced off each other in a Best-of-Three match that lasted for 8 weeks. At the end of a split, the top 8 teams moved into the Playoffs, with the top 4 seeds earning advantages like the upper bracket.
On the other hand, the bottom 4 teams will be placed in the lower bracket, wherein they need to fight for their chance to win the tournant.
More importantly, wins in each split awarded Championship Points, which teams collected throughout the season. These points determined qualification for the biggest event of the year: the World Championship, which takes place every December of the year.
Only the top 2 teams from each region, with the most points, were given direct invites to the World Championship.
Currently, they were nearing the end of the Spring Split. The playoffs were just around the corner, and most of the qualifying teams had already secured their spots.
But that didn't an that the pro teams can just slack around.
With the Championship points, all of them were still determined to win. After all, aside from winning the title, getting a lot of championship points was their next goal.
Even if a team didn't win a single split, they could still qualify for Worlds as long as they consistently placed high across the three splits.
That's why even lower-ranked playoff teams still fought desperately for their chance.
The prize pool also helped.
Most major regions had pools ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 USD per split. First place would take ho around $100,000, while the rest would be split among the other top placers.
Seunghoon kept scrolling at his screen. A smile was forged on his lips as he looked through the regional standings.
In RPL, there were nine regions in total:
- RPK (Rise Pro Korea)
- RPE (Rise Pro Europe)
- RPN (Rise Pro North Arica)
- RPSEA (Rise Pro Southeast Asia)
- RPC (Rise Pro China)
- RPL(Rise Pro Latin Arica)
- RPO (Rise Pro Oceania)
- RP (Rise Pro Middle East)
Each region had its own playstyle and its own fanbase.
Now, if Seunghoon wants to join the league there was only one thing he could do.
Rise in the ranks and make a na for himself by sumr, before the off-season, when teams can change their roster.
