Jiang Chen adjusted his exclusive disciple robe, greeted Ji Ruxue politely, and began calmly. "It’s good to see you again, Holy Maiden. I hope you’re doing well."

Then, with the sa politeness, he turned to Xie Xiaojing, "And to you, Junior Sister Xie Xiaojing. I had heard of your reputation before I first arrived at the Purple Heaven Holy Land. You’ve definitely lived up to it."

"Your words honor , Senior Brother Jiang Chen!" Xie Xiaojing responded shyly, her heart swelling with joy at Jiang Chen’s praise.

Ji Ruxue simply nodded silently to Jiang Chen, then nudged Xie Xiaojing beside her. With a slight roll of her eyes, she asked sharply, "Xiaojing, did you forget what you ca here for?"

Reminded by Ji Ruxue, Xie Xiaojing playfully stuck out her tongue and replied with a bashful smile, "Oh, no, not at all!"

"Ah, right," she added admiringly, "Senior Brother Jiang Chen is definitely the highlight of this montous sect gathering!"

"Well, I suppose that’s true," Ji Ruxue nodded in agreent. She was the first to know that Jiang Chen was to be welcod as a disciple by Ji Mingxiu, a declaration set to be made at the grand sect assembly.

Hearing Xie Xiaojing’s words, Jiang Chen maintained a modest smile on the surface, but internally, he thought sarcastically, ’I feel sorry for you, Fang Yuan. How can she call the star of the show when you are the true protagonist?’

At that mont, Ji Ruxue glanced at the stone bench she shared with Xie Xiaojing, then looked over at Jiang Chen. Her impeccable manners dictated her actions; she gestured toward a secluded pavilion in the corner of the courtyard and suggested, "Let’s sit at the table there and discuss." She took Xie Xiaojing by the hand and led the way.

Without hesitation, Jiang Chen followed. Upon entering the pavilion, he courteously waited for the two won to take their seats together before he took his own seat across from them, maintaining a respectful distance.

Once all three were seated, Xie Xiaojing, eager to share the events with Ji Ruxue, began with a hint of mystery, "Actually, sothing quite intriguing happened during this grand sect assembly."

"What happened?" Ji Ruxue asked, her curiosity clearly piqued.

Without hesitation, Xie Xiaojing revealed, keen to keep her best friend from suspense, "It’s about Fang Yuan—you won’t believe this, but after two years, his cultivation base isn’t declining anymore, and he’s regained his ability to cultivate normally."

"What?" Ji Ruxue exclaid, her eyes widening with astonishnt that quickly turned to skepticism. "Are you certain? His cultivation base mysteriously declined, and even my father couldn’t determine the cause. Now, just as mysteriously, it’s restored?"

Already accustod to Ji Ruxue’s skeptical nature, Xie Xiaojing wasn’t offended and affird confidently, "Absolutely, I’m sure. Fang Yuan himself confird it in front of everyone. But..." she paused, adding a touch of mystery.

"But what?" Ji Ruxue pressed eagerly, half-jokingly adding, "Stop teasing," as her eyes sparkled with mock anger.

Xie Xiaojing imdiately raised her hands in surrender, exclaiming exaggeratedly, "Okay, okay, I’ll stop—how scary!"

She then continued earnestly, "But even before Fang Yuan told us about his regained ability to cultivate, it was Senior Brother Jiang Chen who first noticed the change in him! Not even His Excellency, the Holy Lord, or the four Supre Elders had picked up on it."

After saying this, her eyes flicked in Jiang Chen’s direction, filled with admiration.

Once again, Ji Ruxue found herself astounded by Xie Xiaojing’s revelation. The fact that Jiang Chen could detect Fang Yuan’s return to normal cultivation abilities, when even her powerful father had not, piqued her interest deeply.

Unable to contain her curiosity, she turned to Jiang Chen and asked, "How were you able to notice the change in Fang Yuan?"

Jiang Chen, pleased with Xie Xiaojing’s portrayal and the shift in focus from Fang Yuan to himself, managed to maintain a modest deanor on the surface. Smiling and shaking his head, he replied playfully, "Haha, Holy Maiden, don’t take Junior Sister Xie Xiaojing’s words too seriously—she’s being too generous.

I’m just a newcor to the Purple Heaven Holy Land, so I ca without any preconceived notions about anyone’s situation. The sa is true for Fang Yuan—when I first t him, I..."

Jiang Chen then repeated what he had shared during the grand sect assembly to Ji Ruxue.

Hearing Jiang Chen’s explanation, Ji Ruxue nodded repeatedly, an expression of understanding forming on her face. However, her expression soon shifted to a thoughtful frown. She lowered her head and muttered to herself, "But that doesn’t explain the cause of Fang Yuan’s declining cultivation base, does it?"

As she pondered the mystery, Ji Ruxue’s thoughts inevitably drifted to Jiang Chen, sohow convinced he held the answer. With a hopeful glint in her eyes, she looked up to et Jiang Chen’s gaze and asked earnestly, "Did you also discover the cause of Fang Yuan’s declining cultivation base?"

Hearing her best friend’s question, Xie Xiaojing leaned in, her eyes fixed on Jiang Chen, brimming with anticipation for his response.

Anticipating this curiosity from Ji Ruxue, Jiang Chen was prepared. Not wanting to keep the two won in suspense, he confidently disclosed, "Well, if my observations are correct, it seems to be linked to the activation of an ancestral artifact on his person, one that is at least of the Transcendence rank."

"An artifact of at least the Transcendence rank?" Ji Ruxue repeated thoughtfully. "Could that be why my father was unable to determine the cause of his declining cultivation base?"

"Exactly," Jiang Chen affird, nodding with an approving smile. He then proceeded to explain his reasoning, carefully noting that his conclusions were based solely on observations and lacked concrete proof. He stressed the importance of keeping their discussion confidential, suggesting that the three of them should keep this information between themselves.

By the ti Jiang Chen finished explaining, although the two young won understood these were only his speculations, they couldn’t deny it was the most plausible explanation for Fang Yuan’s situation. This understanding made the mystery surrounding him seem sohow less intriguing.

Additionally, Jiang Chen’s indifference to the potentially valuable artifact on Fang Yuan, without a trace of greed, subtly influenced their perspective. They found themselves similarly disinterested, their curiosity diminishing without even realizing it.

Unable to hide her growing admiration, Xie Xiaojing exclaid in awe, "I never expected Senior Brother Jiang Chen to have such ticulous observation skills! From details that everyone could see, he drew such insightful conclusions." Her eyes were filled with fascination as she watched Jiang Chen.

"Silly girl," Ji Ruxue chided with an eye-roll before turning her attention back to Jiang Chen.

Privately, she found herself nodding in agreent with Xie Xiaojing’s observation. Jiang Chen’s thoroughness marked him as a deeply thoughtful person.

Moreover, she recognized that his insistence on keeping their discussion confidential was a strategic move to protect Fang Yuan’s interests, reflecting his considerate nature towards his sect mbers.
