Chapter 387: Chapter 306: The Witch’s List

At the sa ti, inside the Saintfield family Space Station.

Jean Saintfield, dressed in formal attire, sat within the room. He had prepared fine champagne and the table was laden with gifts he had arranged, all in anticipation of a distinguished guest.

He liked champagne for it represented the taste of victory.

But it was not yet ti to open it; the death of Saintfield VI was only the first step of the plan, trivial compared to what was to co.

Now, the most important thing was how to turn the na Jean Saintfield into Saintfield VII.

Suddenly, a large mirror stood in front of his desk, towering over two people tall, reflecting the study and his own figure. The study door remained closed, yet the mirror reflected a different scene.

A witch in a fiery red dress entered his study, her face adorned with glamorous makeup, her red lips briefly srizing Jean.

In his life, he had seen many beautiful won, but none had ever made him feel quite like this.

Even though this was his first eting with this mysterious partner, and although he rationally knew her level of danger, a desire welled up uncontrollably deep within him.

He thought of possessing the woman in the mirror, owning everything about her.

In the past, Jean Saintfield always got what he wanted; whenever this thought crossed his mind, he hardly needed to do anything as others would willingly co to him because he was the grandson of Saintfield VI, with half the family’s power in his hands.

However, now, he had to suppress all his desires.

As the woman in the mirror neared step by step, arriving behind him, her amber pupils fixed on the gifts he had prepared on the table.

Though the woman was in the Mirror World, Jean felt as if he could sll a fragrant scent emanating from behind him, intoxicating, every move she made stirring his heart.

But now...

He took a deep breath, it was ti to focus on the matters at hand.

Appearing lovestruck would not win him any favors; if anyone deserved this woman, it would definitely be Saintfield VII.

Once he held all the power and had defeated all competitors, everything else would fall into place.

Jean Saintfield took the initiative to speak, "All the plans are under our control now. The Blue Star People have already discovered the truth; next is how to unveil all this truth to the world."

He was referring to the behavior of Saintfield VI conspiring with the wizards. Jean had no interest in who stole whose soul; what mattered was that this revelation would bring turmoil to the entire Saintfield family. The Ashen Church would not let anyone who colluded with a wizard go unpunished; their Judge ships had already been deployed.

At that ti, the family would need soone who could turn the tide.

Even though Saintfield VI had not left a will, saving the family from this crisis would undoubtedly make him the next Family Head.

"This is specially prepared for you, from my vineyard, a rare vintage you can hardly find anywhere else in the universe," Jean said, hoping to show his sincerity.

He also wanted to convey so ssages to his witch friend, such as, he was a man of taste.

"That won’t be necessary."

A lodious voice ca from behind him. The witch simply stated, "I’ve fulfilled my part of the agreent, now it’s ti to collect my paynt."

"Everything you requested is here," Jean said, shifting aside to give her space to inspect the items on the table more closely.

These items were unusual, looking to be materials for wizardry, so of which had vanished for centuries and were not easy for him to gather.

Without changing his expression, he said, "The Ashen Consortium controls objects of mysticism very strictly, this has taken quite an effort from ."

He hoped the witch would acknowledge his effort.

Upon hearing this, the witch in the mirror simply glanced at him indifferently.

Jean Saintfield felt his heartbeat slow by half a beat. The witch in the mirror was clearly wearing a lavish makeup, yet she emanated an aura that kept others at a distance. He seldom saw such a trait in the opposite sex; he was accustod to those passionate and fiery expressions.

"I naturally know their value."

"So, we are now in the sa boat, I am curious what you plan to do with these materials?"

Jean Saintfield asked.

While collecting these materials, he had picked up so clues from black market traders who knew a little about mysticism, and so even recognized that he was gathering materials for a wizard. Furthermore, a few had brought him ssages, urging him to pull back, as these materials seed to pertain to so ancient and mystical ritual.

Just like the woman in the mirror.

Powerful yet mysterious, her thoughts were impenetrable.

As the witch had said, she had fulfilled all the terms of the agreent.

She had killed Saintfield VI, led the Blue Star People to the truth, and only the right ti remained to reveal the secret to the public, yet Jean Saintfield knew nothing of the witch’s plans; he had no idea what she intended to do with these materials.

However, not long ago, he heard so unsettling news.

A falcon raised by the Ashen Consortium had died on the Eco-Ship, killed by a wizard’s Art of Curse Killing.

Upon hearing this news, the Ashen Consortium dispatched several Judges, their flagship ard sufficiently to wage war in a Star Zone.

This was not part of Saintfield VI’s plans.

Although he needed the church’s power to plunge his family into turmoil, it was not supposed to be in such a direct and devastating manner.

He did not oppose the witch killing people, but not in such a direct way.

The thods of the witch were almost a declaration of war against the Ashen Church.

The look in the witch’s eyes made him feel a chill in his heart, and he hurriedly explained, "Don’t misunderstand, you can consider this as my concern for a partner, if there’s anything I can help with..."

The witch did not seem inclined to answer the question directly.

Jean Saintfield saw the witch in the mirror pull out a parchnt book, and in the blink of an eye, the book appeared on his desk.

It was the witch’s notebook.

It was a list, filled with densely packed nas.

What terrified him was that so of the nas had been crossed out in red, and a few familiar nas inford him that those people were already dead.

Most of them were believers of the Ashen Church.

He flipped through the pages, and the nas of the Judges also prominently appeared among them.

A terrible premonition spread in Jean Saintfield’s heart.

"Could it be that you intend to..."

His words stopped abruptly.

Because on one page he saw a familiar na.

Saintfield VI.

Followed by Jean Saintfield.

He suddenly widened his eyes, but by then, he already felt a real touch on his neck.

The hands of the witch in the mirror gently encircled his neck, he could faintly see her fingernails painted with bright red nail polish, he felt the delicate touch of her fingertips.

But at this mont, this delicate touch brought with it the breath of death.
