Chapter 296: Chapter 215: Conscious Space
"Last ti in Siyang City, you never ntioned any of this to ,"
Duan Mingyuan said.
After leaving Siyang City, Mingyuan had also tried searching for information about Eisenberg-Adler, but unsurprisingly, all records concerning Eisenberg and his research team had been destroyed. Even the details of when he was arrested and to which prison he was sent were blank.
This was sufficient to suggest that Universe Company greatly valued this person, yet for so reason was unable to silence him outright, and could only detain him in a secluded prison on Prison Planet.
"You never asked , and besides, so things will only resonate with you after you have personally experienced them,"
He Ya gave a faint smile, deftly sidestepping Mingyuan’s questioning, "If you’re interested in this person, I can also share so information about Eisenberg with you at no cost, since you are one of my most valued clients at the mont."
Despite the fact the client was quite poor, unable to co up with even 4.9 billion.
However, He Ya always believed that in this universe, money wasn’t the only currency for trading, and there were many things that money couldn’t buy.
Just like how it was now quite challenging to persuade soone to break into the prison on Prison Planet and retrieve a major criminal closely guarded by Universe Company.
"Before being convicted by the company, Eisenberg-Adler and his team were conducting research on ’Cocooned’ planets, and all their inspiration ca from a Long Branch Guard who was rescued from Dead Star. After losing contact with the fleet, she survived a month on a ’Cocooned’ planet, which the Long Branch Committee had originally presud her dead."
"I know this person."
Earth Wolf Twelve and Mocking Pigeon, driven by their curiosity, unabashedly leaned in closer. As a forr Long Branch reserve, he had the authority to speak on the matter, "When she was called back to headquarters, she was forced to take a six-month leave for psychological treatnt."
He knew the reason for this quite simply.
All official mbers of the Long Branch Guard were on record, and whenever a mber was killed in action, reserves had to quickly fill the vacancy.
The death of a Long Branch Guard was considered a significant event within the company, not only resulting in commanding officers losing their positions for being held responsible, but also leading to an intense internal selection process within the committee.
Earth Wolf Twelve still rembered the fierce competition during that internal selection; a group of reserves fought vehently for a month, only for the supposedly deceased person to co back to life, rendering all their efforts null and void, as if nothing had happened.
Suddenly, he felt life was indeed quite marvelous.
If it weren’t for that supposed-to-be-dead Long Branch Guard miraculously coming back to life, he might have officially joined at that ti and wouldn’t have been fooled by treacherous false information, which led his whole Ranger unit to be sent to the front lines to die.
But looking at the bigger picture, if he had stayed with the company, he wouldn’t have had the chance to be acquainted with the Blue Star People in this way, and he might even have appeared as an adversary, perhaps, along with the Cosmic Relations Coordination Departnt, causing a significant incident a few months ago.
After the series of events on chanical Star, Earth Wolf Twelve increasingly felt that the Long Branch Guard could no longer keep up with the progression.
The power levels in the universe had inflated drastically, with several real "Cocoons" erging such that the Long Branch Guard had fallen from the universally recognized T0 level of Strength to T1.
Even the butler of Morgan VII could effortlessly handle them.
"That’s even better," He Ya said, "The person who conducted psychological counseling for her was Eisenberg-Adler, but the counseling was just a pretense. The company was very interested in her disappearance for a month and rely found an excuse to get her to talk."
"Was it because of the locator?"
Earth Wolf Twelve crossed his arms and said, "Every Long Branch Guard’s armor is fitted with a tracking device. Even if the pilot dies, the company will recover the armor as much as possible, but her evaluation is listed as ’missing.’"
And she vanished abruptly, without any warning.
The Universe Company found it hard to imagine what circumstance could allow a well-trained Long Branch Guard to lose connection without being able to react at all.
"That’s right, but Eisenberg and his team got an unexpected answer. That Long Branch Guard was convinced she hadn’t fallen into any trap. She was on Dead Star the whole month, just suddenly lost contact with headquarters."
"Just like what happened to you guys just now!"
Mocking Pigeon had a sudden realization.
She had the authority to speak on this—her tracking device installed on Earth Wolf Twelve had suddenly disappeared, but the strange thing was that the tracking equipnt was not damaged. When Duan Mingyuan and Earth Wolf Twelve returned, the missing signal also returned to normal.
Therefore, she had to believe the bizarre story told by Earth Wolf Twelve, thinking that he and Duan Mingyuan had traveled to an otherworldly dinsion that does not exist in this universe.
Just like those "transference" events ntioned in novels!
He Ya’s lips curved upwards on the other end of the phone; she was quite pleased with Earth Wolf Twelve and Mocking Pigeon’s back-and-forth, which smoothly relayed the information she wanted to tell Duan Mingyuan.
"So, after a series of evaluations and ntal assessnts, Eisenberg-Adler ca to a conclusion that outside of the real world, there exists a space constructed by mind and consciousness. To a certain extent, this is strikingly consistent with the conclusions you’ve reached, which is why I believed from the very beginning that you would have a lot of common ground."
"?"
"Your theories about ’Barriers’ are precisely the epito of the ’Conscious Space’."
He Ya, with great interest, reviewed the many academic theories proposed by Duan Mingyuan and recognized Duan Mingyuan as a true genius. Even without the identity of a Transcender, given proper guidance, he might beco soone like Eisenberg in the future.
It’s just a pity that the world often fails to understand the thoughts of geniuses. The theories Duan Mingyuan proposed during his high school years were dismissed as nonsensical fantasies by the outside world.
He Ya only wished she could buy a ti machine to go back to the past.
Otherwise, she would have appeared before Duan Mingyuan as a caring big sister, establishing a strong bond with him when he was just starting out as a Transcender.
"You can imagine the ’Cocoon’ process as the Nesting process you proposed, and the ’Conscious Space’ is the Barrier that erges during the cocooning. It’s just that due to differences in energy intensity, our Barrier is strong enough to affect everything on a planet."
"So, are you saying that the disasters produced during the ’Cocoon’ process are actually natural phenona arising from your construction of the Barrier?"
This was a major discovery for Duan Mingyuan.
There is a hierarchy of power levels in the "Cocoon."
The Divine Wood is much more powerful than the "Consciousness" on chanical Star. The power levels seem to be the difference between before nesting begins and after the nesting is complete.
"After compiling the information, Eisenberg ca up with a bold idea."
He Ya said, "He believes that if we can find a way to enter ’Conscious Space,’ we could understand the secrets of the ’Cocoon.’"
