Chapter 175: Chapter 95: A Yellow Millet Dream

Centuries ago, there were those who had witnessed such a scene.

Within Dreamland, the sky, obscured by red and black, was struck by a beam of light that fell upon the land beneath their feet, turning the whole world into a scorched wasteland.

This was the future shown to the Pri Monarch by the heir to the Yin Yang Technique centuries ago, and now it was unfolding in reality.

As Heaven’s Punishnt approached, the people of the Imperial Court instead lost the thought of fleeing, knowing that no matter where they fled, Heaven’s Punishnt would eventually catch up to them, descending equally upon everyone.

This was the fear that the Extraterrestrials had long planted deep within their hearts.

People also saw the Sword Array that enveloped the entire city, the chains drawn by the Flying Swords outlining the kingdom’s silhouette. Under normal circumstances, this sight would have compelled them to submit involuntarily to the awe of the Mysterious Techniques, but at this mont, they felt nothing but resentnt towards the Pri Monarch.

Resentnt towards the Pri Monarch for bringing about Heaven’s Punishnt.

Having endured in silence for centuries, they were now forced to raise their swords again to the heavens at the end of their lives.

The result was dragging everyone to join in his stubborn defiance as his companions in death.

The Heaven’s Punishnt that had not co for hundreds of years was about to descend upon this land at this mont.

"Is it worth it?"

The Third Prince staggered down the stone steps.

This was a question for the Pri Monarch as well as for himself.

After enduring silently for such a long ti, one could simply close their eyes and cast all troubles to the back of their mind, but now those who followed him lay as severed limbs around, and the Pri Monarch’s resistance had effectively pronounced a death sentence for this planet.

Shouts shook the heavens and changed the trajectory of fate.

But was it all worth it?

It wasn’t worth it,

Not worth it at all!

To have changed fate, yet in the end to have been unable to preserve anything, resulting in destruction; centuries of forbearance now seed like a fleeting dream, and it was ti to wake from it.

Perhaps this was the final lesson for them, both for these people and this world.

Not everything in this world can be made to follow their will, not even for the Pri Monarch.

The Third Prince managed a bitter smile, unable to help feeling so resentnt, "This was a gamble between

and the company, yet I never thought you’d overturn the ga board."

The Third Prince’s faction’s devastation, in exchange for the Elder Princess’s departure from the Imperial Court, was a result both sides could accept. Even though Qing Hua said she would bring the Elder Princess to the grand hall, he also believed that Duan Mingyuan could lead everyone away from the Royal Capital.

To die for a cause, in exchange for hope, was the future he sought out in countless fates, yet the arrival of the Pri Monarch changed everything.

Even if the Elder Princess and Cai Die had already left, Heaven’s Punishnt could still easily catch up to them.

"This sword is nad ’Longing for the Moon,’ delivered into my hands by a friend who wished that I would use it to win the war."

The Third Prince was taken aback.

The Pri Monarch didn’t respond to his query, and it seed he had never intended to answer such a question. He unfastened the sword that he wore at his waist and held it in his hand.

The Pri Monarch’s sword served more as a symbol than a weapon.

The Third Prince had never admired the Sword Control Technique and naturally looked down on the Pri Monarch’s sword, believing that centuries of history had only proven the Pri Monarch to be a historically noted failure.

But just monts ago, the sword he had scorned successively cut down the invincible Imperial Guards of "Long Branch."

"Five minutes have passed."

The one holding the sword said calmly.

Qing Hua did not heed the advice.

No one expected him to heed any advice.

For the company, this had never been a dreamland. Before this, the flagship’s weapons had razed countless planets, turning them into lifeless Dead Stars. No one knew the aftermath of activating the weapons better than they did.

In Qing Hua’s eyes, this might have been just one of the many Dead Stars.

The Third Prince saw the Pri Monarch draw the Moonwatcher, its blade dyed red by Heaven’s Punishnt.

He also saw the Pri Monarch rely lift his right hand, seemingly tossing the sword casually into the air.

His gaze could no longer divert even slightly.

Unlike the grandiose battle that had just taken place, this mont was oddly silent, as if all the sounds of the world had been stripped away.

Then ca the color.

The Third Prince didn’t know if his eyes were deceiving him, but everything within his sight lost its color, turning into a stark contrast of black and white.

And then ti and space.

Everything froze in place.

Until a crack tore through the canopy of the sky.

The sword scar split the sky in two, including the floating object that had obscured the heavens. The Third Prince couldn’t see where this sword scar was extending to, only knowing that it continued to stretch endlessly, as if there was no end.

Only then did ti resu its flow.

The shadow that had lood over this planet for centuries shattered, plumting uncontrollably toward the "Mortal Realm."

When he heard the thunderous roar above the clouds, he felt as if the entire sky was smashing down toward the Royal City.

The chains spread across the Royal City’s sky caught them, weaving a net in the night sky. The net shredded the dark "heavens," splitting it into countless falling Fragnts.

Before dawn arrived, a torrential Black Rain fell unexpectedly.

Those on the streets awaiting Heaven’s Punishnt’s judgnt woke up as if from a dream, escaping the boundless panic and confusion, hiding inside buildings before the "Black Rain" pumled them.

There was no ti to contemplate the consequences of slaying the Extraterrestrials; they only knew they were still alive for the mont.

The thunderous crashes and tremors as the "Black Rain" hit the ground made them deeply aware that all of this was really happening, and it wasn’t a fantastical Dreamland.

They witnessed it, every single one of them.

They witnessed the Pri Monarch severing the sky with a single sword strike, and they witnessed him personally rewriting the outco of the war a hundred years ago.

Another flash of cold light traced across the sky, and the descending Flying Sword returned to its sheath.

When the Third Prince looked up at the sky once more, the oppressive floating object was no longer there, only the sword scar still stretching across the heavens.

Moonlight spilled down once again.

Turning around, he saw the Pri Monarch toss the Moonwatcher gently towards him.

The Third Prince caught it instinctively, the sword was much lighter than he had imagined, so light that even soone like him, who never practiced the sword seriously, could easily hold it.

There were no further words, not even a farewell.

Upon reflection, the Third Prince had never been the focus of the Pri Monarch’s attention since his childhood. He had minimal interaction with this father in na, their conversations could be counted on one hand.

The Third Prince watched that familiar yet strange figure turn around, walk into the moonlight, rge with the bright moonlight, and then disappear into nothingness.

It was a journey that had lasted for hundreds of years.

And just now, he had witnessed the strongest, who had halted for hundreds of years, take another step forward, completing the last part of the journey.

All stories about the Pri Monarch ca to an end at this mont.
