Chapter 172: Chapter 92: Falling Like Raindrops

"Coming to the Imperial Court this ti was indeed the right decision."

Atop the tower, Qing Hua stood before the railing, supporting her chin with her left hand, gazing with interest at the palace ignited by flas, then looking down, her eyes fell upon the Forbidden Army engaged in fierce combat.

The Forbidden Army stationed before the grand hall was retreating step by step. The battle at the academy had left the Second Prince severely injured; they were no match for the well-prepared forces of the Third Prince in direct combat, so it was only a matter of ti before the Rebels stord the grand hall.

Yet, Qing Hua did not show the slightest hint of panic. The rebellion instigated by the Third Prince indeed caught her and the company by surprise, as they had always seen him as a wise man.

A wise man might harbor thoughts of rebellion, but would never engage in aningless resistance.

For the Third Prince who had instigated the rebellion, it was a situation that spelled certain death.

He could not recall how long it had been since he last witnessed such a scene.

The earth-shaking war cries, the swords raised high, pointing towards the heavens.

The last rebellion dated back hundreds of years ago.

"We’ve found out. It was the elental creatures from Deep Sea Star causing trouble, who would have thought he could unearth such potential from these creatures."

Before long, Cai Hui, stepping over the ground littered with dismbered corpses, ascended to the rooftop.

Not long before, the company’s guards had rebelled; taken by surprise, the lower-level guards suffered heavy casualties under the crossfire, and dismbered limbs from the impact of energy weapons were everywhere.

She had thought it was so kind of mind control technique, but after a detailed investigation, she discovered that many guards in the team had been replaced unknown to them. The disguised guards turned into pools of black liquid upon death, which was identical to the Black Sea of Deep Sea Star.

Cai Hui imdiately took samples back to the flagship for analysis, and the results confird her guess. She then checked the company’s records and repeatedly confird that what they had originally given to the Third Prince were indeed just experintal subjects captured from Deep Sea Star. Even the company had not been able to discover the potential of these subjects, deeming them worthless weak creatures.

And now, the Third Prince had used these elental creatures to surreptitiously replace the company’s guards and launched a surprise attack on them.

For the livestock reared in a pen, this was already quite astonishing.

However, the efforts of the Third Prince ended here.

"Teacher, please return to the flagship imdiately. Leave this place to ’Long Branch’ to handle."

"It’s rare for the Third Prince to prepare such a performance for us, wouldn’t it be ungrateful to leave now?"

The last of the grand hall’s guards also fell into pools of blood, and amidst the crowd’s encirclent, a familiar figure appeared in Qing Hua’s line of sight.

Beneath the tower, the Third Prince was also looking up at him.

Qing Hua felt such a scene had occurred on this planet before.

Hundreds of years ago, the father of the Third Prince had also looked up to the heavens in the sa way.

"If that’s the case, it’s quite a fateful connection."

What a pity that compared to the last war, today’s Rebels were far too weak, and the Third Prince didn’t even have a proper sword in his hands.

How utterly helpless.

The company was growing stronger every mont, and its prosperity was built upon the offerings from countless planets like Blue Star.

In response to Qing Hua, ca cold droplets of water, unexpected rain fell upon him, bringing a chill that penetrated deep into the soul.

He opened his palms, catching the increasingly dense black raindrops.

A torrential downpour began, turning everything in sight black, the resplendent palace swallowed by the rain, and Qing Hua, along with the lting objects, stepped into the pitch-black tide.

"It’s a Barrier."

Cai Hui reminded.

This discovery shocked her—an elental creature born of Deep Sea Star, capable of wielding the power that belonged to this planet.

Had she not been standing on the enemy’s side, she would have had many questions that only Third Prince could answer.

This was no ordinary Barrier, its scope was wide enough to cover the entire Imperial Court, making the whole world seem like it was nothing but endless water, with each person becoming a lone boat drifting atop the Black Sea.

Sothing approached.

Its speed was fast, right below the black waves.

Facing the ferocious creature attacking her, Qing Hua did not dodge or flinch; instead, she spread her arms wide, letting the waves that rose crash over her. The tremble of her soul made her body relax, the drowsiness she felt was swept away.

"Ying Tian, I’ve also ticulously prepared a gift for you."

The massive body underwater overlapped with the figure of Qing Hua, and in the next mont, nurous cracks appeared in the pitch-black world, and imdiately shattered like glass.

The figure beside Third Prince was gravely injured and suddenly fell to the ground.

It lted away, turning into black droplets that dissolved on the ground.

With the illusion shattered, Qing Hua once again stood upon the towers.

Between them stood a figure in dark-gold armor, fully encased. A single glance from him could send chills down one’s spine, rendering them immobile.

All Strange Gates and Devious Techniques were suppressed at that mont, the faces of the Dead Soldiers who treated death indifferently now showed fear—they recognized the armor and the fear of a lower being towards a higher power surged within them.

Though they had never seen this armor, they recognized the long sword tied at the waist of the dark-gold armor.

The scabbard was trimd with gold and featured a dragon so lifelike it seed alive.

"Go."

Without a sideways glance, Third Prince spoke softly, "You’ve done enough, now head over to Elder Princess."

The figure that had completely lted into black water refused Third Prince’s command this ti.

Behind the dark-gold armored figure, a spot of ink appeared, which suddenly erupted into a torrent, taking human shape. Vine-like limbs wrapped around the armor, attempting to drag it into the whirlpool of ink.

The armored figure did not draw his sword, nor did he even bother to turn around.

Space behind him cracked open with nurous fissures, the black vines tearing at the armor weakened, and with the fragnts that fell to the ground, they vanished without a trace.

"’Black Steel’, that’s its na. You shouldn’t, by rights, have been able to see it."

"You—!"

Soone from the crowd cursed loudly, but before they could finish, a fierce gale swallowed them whole.

Black Steel raised his left hand, and a black Sharp Blade fell from the sky, circling among the crowd before planting itself in front of him. The Black Sword was over three ters long, taller than the armored figure himself.

When the wind from the sword dissipated, there was no further noise from the Rebels—all that was left was Third Prince standing alone atop a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, with no whole bodies left beside him.

Third Prince rely stood there.

This was the expected outco. He also saw another armored figure under the great hall, holding an emissary from the Red Star Chamber of Comrce who had lost consciousness, without letting his gaze linger on him for an extra second.

"You hid them well, but there’s nothing on this planet that can escape the company’s eyes. As an acknowledgnt of your courage, let your ’father’ personally see you off."
