This mastery over gravity could be considered Sun Wukong's first gain after arriving at the Fallen Tomb. Since there was no sunrise or sunset within the Fallen Tomb, Sun Wukong had lost track of exactly how long he had been inside, but he estimated it to be over a month. More importantly, Sun Wukong did not feel that this month had been wasted at all. In fact, anyone who could learn such a powerful divine skill within a month would not consider their ti misspent. In a world where strength reigns supre, nothing is more crucial than one's own might. Especially divine skills, which are unique abilities that exist independently of spells and are extrely difficult to cultivate. Having mastered two divine skills, Sun Wukong was already quite extraordinary.
If one must be specific, Zhu Bajie's devouring ability could also be considered a divine skill. However, Bajie treated it more as an instinct and was not aware of how potent this skill was. Having accomplished his training in the divine skill, Wukong did not linger and randomly chose a direction to leave in. Now, he could move freely without being affected by the gravity. Inside the Fallen Tomb were skeletal remains everywhere—large and small, human and animal, myriad and varied. No wonder it was called the Fallen Tomb; it truly was a vast graveyard.
Up to this point, aside from the initial intense pressure inside the Fallen Tomb that had caused Wukong so internal injuries, he had actually not encountered any other dangers. This puzzled Wukong a bit; the Fallen Tomb did not seem as perilous as it was said to be, and was rely a giant graveyard. However, it wasn't long before Wukong paid the price for this thought. He suddenly encountered an enormously large skeleton, so colossal that at first Wukong couldn't discern whether it was human or so other creature. What caught Wukong's attention wasn't the enormity of the skeleton, but the fact that it had clearly been there for ages yet its bones still shimred like jade, entirely different from the surrounding decayed bones.
This was truly mysterious. Such a massive skeleton, preserved without a trace of decay through hundreds of thousands of years, could only an one thing: in life, it's cultivation level was at the peak of a Domain Lord. It was said that the Fallen Tomb was the graveyard of all the strong from the super war during the Ancient Tis, and it seed quite accurate. Nevertheless, if Wukong could take this giant skeleton back, it would surely incite a frenzied scramble for it among many. Yet Wukong wasn't lacking treasures, so his interest was out of re curiosity. But just as Wukong was examining the skeleton and thought about moving on, it suddenly stirred.
Wukong was imdiately startled. His first thought was that the bones must have been disturbed by soone else. However, he quickly realized that couldn't be the case, as his Divine Consciousness Scouting did not detect any other living person's presence—there was no one else around but himself. Wukong's second thought: these bones were alive. After all, that jade-like luster really didn't seem characteristic of the dead. At that mont, Sun Wukong suddenly had the image of a woman co to mind.
She was a woman who Wukong had once t on the Pilgrimage Route in the Western Paradise; constrained by circumstances, he had pretended to kill her but actually allowed her to escape with her life. Wasn't that woman essentially a living skeleton? Indeed, soon after the bones moved slightly, the entire structure stood upright. When the structure rose, Wukong felt that his initial estimate of its size was misguided—not that he had imagined it too large, but rather too small. The skeleton that had stood up was about six to seven hundred ters tall; it was truly a giant.
When the colossal skeleton stood up, so too did countless other odd bones in the vicinity—human, demon, beast, and others that couldn't be identified. Suddenly, Wukong found himself in what seed an ocean of skeletons, numbering in the thousands at a single glance. It was an overwhelmingly startling sight—if you saw a thousand people, you might feel it was just crowded, but when you saw thousands of skeletons standing up, all facing you, with innurable ghost fires flickering to life, the sensation was rather uncomfortable. At least, Sun Wukong did not relish this feeling.
"Uh, my na is Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equalling Heaven Sun Wukong. May I know how to address you all? I'm just passing through; didn't realize you were all sleeping here, haha," Sun Wukong said solely out of a playful spirit. He wasn't the least bit afraid of the countless skeletons because, to him, they were just a pile of bones, and one swing of his Golden Hoop would clear a large swath. His surprise a mont ago was purely because he hadn't expected these skeletons to be alive. But the mont Wukong finished speaking, he suddenly heard a very loud voice respond.
"Who exactly are you? How dare you intrude upon the resting place of the deceased? The appointed ti is still decades away, isn't it?" Wukong truly hadn't expected a reply, especially one that seed to co from that supersized skeleton. He looked up, shading his eyes with his hand to get a better view, and was just about to speak when he suddenly felt that talking in such a posture was rather uncomfortable, since he, Sun Wukong, really didn't like to look up at others while talking. He chuckled to himself as his body began to grow rapidly. Having mastered the fourth decision of the Chaos Five Decisions, the Chaos Giant Transformation, size was never an issue for him. It didn't matter if it was a few hundred ters or even tens of thousands of ters tall. He kept growing until he was as tall as that gigantic skeleton and then noticed that the skeleton resembled a human.
"I am Sun Wukong; you may call Great Saint. As for my purpose here, honestly, I have no idea," Wukong replied. The skeleton's eye sockets flickered with ghost fire, seemingly observing. After a while, it said, "You are not the expected one, nor is this the appointed ti. Trespassing upon the resting place of the deceased ans death!" Having said that, it swung its bony fist towards Wukong's head. Wukong wondered what was going on, why the creature would resort to violence without fully discussing the matter first? And, frankly, Wukong wasn't in the mood to fight skeletons. On the one hand, fighting skeletons just felt like bullying, as his Golden Hoop and the World Suppressing Stele could probably crush bones within a few hits. Besides, Wukong had just arrived at the Fallen Tomb and was utterly in the dark about this place, a true case of ignorance, and conflicting with the local power was obviously unwise.
Making friends and having a chat with this fellow seed like the right move. So Wukong didn't strike back, rely raising his hand to block the bone fist, and imdiately said, "Hold on, hold on, we can talk this out, let's talk this out." But the massive skeleton paid no heed and, with a knee blocked, lifted its leg to slam into Wukong's abdon. Wukong was caught off guard; such speed of attack was not what one would expect from a skeleton. Of course, Wukong wasn't going to let himself be pumled. He pressed down with his free left hand, pushing the knee away that was aiming for his abdon.
But Wukong imdiately regretted his action, as he hadn't expected the skeleton to be so deceptively fragile. While he didn't apply full force, his push still managed to dislocate the entire right leg of the gigantic skeleton. Wukong was stupefied, "I'm terribly sorry, I'm terribly sorry. I told you not to fight, look, your leg ca off!" After apologizing, Wukong pushed, aning to pick up the skeleton's thigh bone, but he regretted it again. When he had picked up the right leg bone and looked back at the skeleton, Wukong had already pushed it down, causing the bones to scatter everywhere. What's more, because the skeleton was so enormous, its collapse also shattered many other skeletons on the ground.
"My bad, my bad. I said no fighting, but you just wouldn't listen, sigh." Wukong genuinely didn't want to fight, but this guy had such a short fuse, attacking before they could even have a proper conversation, and ended up scattering himself instead of affecting Wukong. He sighed, bending down to gather the scattered huge bones back together, only to find that with that single shove, the skeleton had indeed fallen apart into a pile of bones.
Helplessly, Wukong shrank back to his original size, and observing the ss all around, he suddenly felt deeply helpless. (To be continued.
