This sudden appearance was none other than the Nine Kirin who had fled in disarray earlier.
At that ti, Ye Xingchen, seeing the situation turn dire, decisively ordered a retreat. But as Sun Wukong had guessed, they had not truly left, but rather used the Teleportation Array to travel to another place in this world. And now, they had once again used a Teleportation Array left in the sky, appearing just at this critical mont. It was undeniable that the timing and location of the Nine Kirin's reappearance could be described as perfect. This was the terrifying aspect of the Nine Kirin: as long as one of them remained alive, the Nine Kirin were an immortal existence, which could be considered, in a sense, an immortal body. However, not all of the Nine Kirin were unscathed. The Life Kirin, Changsheng, was still visibly disheartened, but that was all.
Sun Wukong and his four companions were suddenly attacked and began falling, but at that mont all were in their strongest states and managed to stop their descent just before crashing into the ground, quickly transforming and looking up into the sky. "So it's those nine guys, they didn't really leave, and they struck again so quickly. Do they really intend to perish together with us?" the Fla God muttered in surprise, nursing his back where soone had kicked him hard enough to nearly break his spine, all while using the Kirin Purple-Gold Fire to heal his wounds.
"No, Fla God, look carefully. There are still nine of them. If I rember correctly, you and the Sword Hero had each taken down one, and Old Sha and Wu Zhiqi had severely injured another. But now, none of these nine people are injured, and the two who died are alive again!"
Sun Wukong's Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes were always active, so he imdiately noticed Liu Shang and Shi Yan. Sun Wukong's first thought was whether they also had the sa chains as the Underworld God Army, granting them immortal bodies. The others noticed as well, but there was no ti for questions as the Nine Kirin were already upon them. The major reason wasn't that the Nine Kirin had suddenly grown stronger, but rather because Sun Wukong and his companions were distracted by the tornado and sandstorm sweeping towards them, making it impossible to concentrate on their opponents. But it seed the Nine Kirin really had taken the Fla God's words to heart, seemingly intent on a mutual destruction, completely ignoring the approaching tornado and sandstorm and focusing solely on their vicious assault.
Initially, both Sun Wukong and the Rogue Heart Sword Hero thought the Nine Kirin's attack was just an opportunity to cause chaos amidst the unexpected arrival of the sandstorm and tornado, at most intending to harass them a bit before the storm arrived. They speculated that the Nine Kirin may still retreat in ti for them to escape the sandstorm, but as the tornado and sandstorm drew nearer, making it impossible to keep stable due to the imnse suction, the Nine Kirin showed no sign of backing down.
This left Sun Wukong and the others feeling a chill in their hearts. "Damn it, they really do plan on a mutual destruction. Monkey, they're madn, Dead Soldiers, we can't afford to die with them!" The Fla God, most affected by the situation, knew that while fire is aided by wind, when the wind is too strong, it can extinguish the flas, and thus, he was unable to use his Phoenix Burst Fla and was getting beaten badly!
