Yet, Sun Wukong's voice turned colder, "If you don't want to be beaten to death by my staff, I hope you'll be honest. I need to know so things." Tathagata didn't seem to care about Sun Wukong's threats at all and said with ease, "You can't do anything to . Even if you kill Tathagata, it won't cause any harm. Sun Wukong, many things are predetermined by fate, and you have been chosen by destiny a long ti ago. Don't rush; everything will soon co to an end. Your path has already been determined. Sun Wukong, don't resist; it won't lead to any good outco. As for the things you want to know, you will eventually learn about what you're allowed to, and what you're not ant to know, you will never find out."
Sun Wukong felt a heaviness in his heart upon hearing Tathagata's words, as if invisible shackles suddenly appeared on him, a sensation he strongly disliked. "Then I'll ask you just one question, what exactly is the 'Fallen Tomb'?" Tathagata once again smiled aningfully. Sun Wukong noticed that this 'my lord' seed to enjoy smiling, but that smile was irritating to Sun Wukong, it was the kind that suggested everything was under his control.
"The Fallen Tomb is the ultimate destination for everything, the end point of this ga. Everyone will eventually reach the Fallen Tomb, including you, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and the White Dragon. All will co to an end at the Fallen Tomb, so there's no need to hurry. Well then, I'll be going. Sun Wukong, just make sure you don't lose control, otherwise, much of what I've arranged would be wasted!" After saying this, the sparkle in Tathagata's eyes slowly dimd, and he returned to looking like how he was just after undergoing Transcendence.
Sighing, Sun Wukong found himself quite astonished by this sudden turn of events. He had not expected this person behind the scenes to show himself at this ti. Sun Wukong was right; one would think that this 'my lord' would only make an appearance at the final mont, in a more domineering or bizarre manner, and do sothing earth-shattering, but reality proved to be quite different from what he had imagined.
Sun Wukong was able to detect the Tathagata being invaded by soone else's Divine Sense because he suddenly felt a very familiar aura on the Tathagata, an aura that didn't belong to him, but to soone else, specifically the Sect Master of the Battle Buddha Sect, Di Zhan. At that mont, Sun Wukong didn't imdiately understand what was happening, so he tentatively asked that question and then, he deceived that honored individual once, and, as it turned out, Sun Wukong had guessed correctly. The Divine Sense, or rather the Soul, within the Tathagata, was indeed Di Zhan's.
Then, Sun Wukong understood the aning behind the words that the Sect Leader of Holy Ultimate Buddhism had said before. The Sect Leader's feelings toward Di Zhan were very strange; they were definitely not the feelings a Sect Leader would have for a subordinate. Moreover, Holy Ultimate Buddhism managed to find the dicinal Human Seed entirely through the rit of Di Zhan. In other words, Di Zhan was the only person in the entire Battle Buddha Sect who knew how to find the dicinal Human Seed. Combining this with The Great Venerate Buddhism, known as Dabao Tathagata's, attitude towards Holy Ultimate Buddhism, Sun Wukong easily made a conjecture—maybe Di Zhan had another identity. What identity would cause even the Tathagata, who considers himself above everything, to take such great care? There could only be one answer, the one that the Tathagata kept referring to, that honored individual.
Then ca the subsequent conversation. The consciousness of that honored individual had already left, and the Tathagata had once again beco a puppet, while Sun Wukong was sitting cross-legged on the spot, starting to think about the information he had just received. The Tathagata's answers, especially the first part, were clearly true, for they ca from the Tathagata's own mories—unless what the Tathagata himself knew was also entirely false, the answers Sun Wukong got must be true.
The answers to the questions that ca later required scrutiny because the one answering Sun Wukong's questions at that ti was not the Tathagata, but that honored individual. How much of what that honored individual said could be believed was uncertain to Sun Wukong. And if Sun Wukong tried to invade the Tathagata's mory with his Divine Sense now, he would certainly co up empty. Because that honored individual made it very clear that what he wanted Sun Wukong to know, Sun Wukong would eventually know, and what he didn't want Sun Wukong to know, Sun Wukong would have no way of finding out. There might be so exaggeration in this, but Sun Wukong believed that the Tathagata's mory had definitely been completely wiped. The reason that honored individual had just taken action was to erase the Tathagata's mory so that Sun Wukong wouldn't learn certain things that he didn't want Sun Wukong to know; otherwise, there was no need to go to such lengths.
Therefore, this once again proves that there is a reason behind every action taken by everyone.
At the sa ti, another imnse doubt surfaced in Sun Wukong's heart. Based on the responses of that honored individual and the Tathagata, Sun Wukong could infer that this honored individual must have a shocking plan that had been in the works for a long ti. However, due to so special reason, the execution of this plan had to rely on people like Sun Wukong. This was the reason behind the fiasco of Sun Wukong and the four others being frad, leading to the Westward Journey to fetch scriptures. It also explained the changes that had occurred to them since arriving at Buddha's Pure Land and the transformations of Sun Wukong and Old Sha. These were all arrangents made by that honored individual specifically for the completion of his shocking plan, aning Sun Wukong and the others had been completely used by soone else. Furthermore, that honored individual had warned Sun Wukong at the end not to resist or beco possessed. This was easy to understand, for any resistance would disrupt his plan, and he would certainly use so ans to make one suffer unbearable consequences, perhaps by having everyone on the Flower Fruit Mountain killed, or maybe so other cruel punishnt.
And not to beco possessed was probably because if Sun Wukong lost control, he would be converted into a puppet by Tang Sanzang's Transcendence Bloom, and clearly, his grand sche could not be carried out by a puppet devoid of thought. So, there was one thing Sun Wukong had previously thought must have been done by that person behind the scenes, but now it seed completely unnecessary.
