Sun Wukong blurted out, "The quest for scriptures in the Western Paradise! In this lifeti, the most persistent thing for my master was to obtain the scriptures from the Western Paradise, and now, the thing he most wants to do is still to head to the Western Paradise." This ti, Snake Nine smiled and said, "Well, that's easy to handle, let him go there again to that whatever Western Paradise, and after he puts this obsession to rest, it's very likely that your master's mory will sprout!" Sha Wujing, however, was completely at sea, knowing little about the soul, but he more or less understood.
"Big brother, do you an that all of us should walk the road to the Western Paradise to get the scriptures again? By the ti we reach the Western Paradise, Master will have recovered? But the Tathagata has already died, what scriptures are we to obtain?" Just as Sun Wukong was about to say sothing, Tang Sanzang suddenly said, "Wujing, I've always thought you were the most devout to Buddhism, but how can you ask such a foolish question? The hardships we teacher and disciples have endured on this journey are for the sake of the Mahayana Buddhist Sutras, to enlighten all beings."
Sha Wujing felt his face blush from Sanzang's words and subconsciously asked, "Then Master, where might the Mahayana Buddhist Sutras be?" Sanzang didn't respond imdiately this ti; instead, he suddenly lowered his head, his eyes full of hesitation and confusion. Just when Sun Wukong thought his master was in pain, Sanzang suddenly looked up, his gaze firm as he pointed in one direction, and declared resolutely, "Over there, in so place in that direction, lies what I need!"
Seeing the direction Sanzang pointed, Sha Wujing felt deflated and said to Sun Wukong while rubbing his bald head, "Big brother, it looks like Master still wants to go to the Western Paradise." Sun Wukong followed the direction of Sanzang's hand, shaking his head, "Master this ti doesn't want to go to the Western Paradise?" Wujing was taken aback and asked, "But this is clearly the West, if it's not the Western Paradise, where else could it be?" Sun Wukong suddenly laughed, took Sanzang's hand as if speaking to Sanzang, but also as if to Wujing. "This ti, we're heading to the Great Western Heaven; there lies the true birthplace of Buddhism, Master's dedication can only be relieved there!"
This ti Sha Wujing imdiately caught on, exclaiming in surprise, "Could it be the Ancient Primordial World?" In this universe, the only place known as the birthplace of Buddhism is the Ancient Primordial World, the land of Myriad Buddhas! Sun Wukong nodded, then said to Snake Nine, "This ti, thank you." Snake Nine chuckled, "You don't need to thank , but if you really feel grateful, then let out to have so fun. This place seems quite interesting."
"That's fine, but I think you should know your limits. Don't ss around, I don't want to have to give you a funeral." Snake Nine was imdiately overjoyed and twisted away, disappearing from Sun Wukong's sight. Just as the nine-headed snake left, Zhu Bajie had already returned with the White Dragon. When the two saw Tang Sanzang sitting in the Stone Pavilion, they were inexplicably thrilled, but soon noticed sothing amiss with their master.
However, after Sun Wukong's explanation, they quickly ca to terms. It's just a trip to the Primordial World, after all. As long as they were accompanying their master, even walking the path ten or twenty tis was no problem. As long as their master was alive, that was enough. After seeing their master, the White Dragon and Sun Wukong, along with Sha Wujing, naturally had a round of inquiries. Finally, the five disciples were together again.
They had intended to have a hearty celebration, but now that their master had awakened, the four brothers naturally could not drink alcohol, so they still set up a banquet where they drank tea in lieu of alcohol, and surprisingly, they drank rrily. Moreover, after awakening, Sanzang seed to have changed sowhat, although he was still strict with the precepts, he wasn't as serious as before. Before, he would never have allowed even substituting tea for wine. And while Sanzang had been urging his disciples to hit the road when he first woke up, it wasn't long before he too seed touched by the joy of reunion with Sun Wukong and his brothers and stopped urging them.
Even when Sun Wukong ntioned that he needed to return to Flower Fruit Mountain briefly, Tang Sanzang agreed pleasantly and even asked whether Bajie should co along. Sun Wukong certainly needed to return to Flower Fruit Mountain, and not only that, he had many other matters to manage. He had not originally planned to stay in the Pangu Realm indefinitely. Having co to know certain things, Sun Wukong had realized the responsibilities resting upon his shoulders.
And now that his master had awakened, due to the mory issues, it seed they definitely had to accompany their master step by step to the Ancient Primordial World. In this process, Sun Wukong didn't intend to take any shortcuts but wanted to walk step by step to the Ancient Primordial World, as they did originally, to fully complete his master's obsession. Maybe this ti it would take much longer than the last, possibly decades or even hundreds of years, but Sun Wukong was willing—for his master, he was willing to spend a thousand years.
But before leaving this place, he had to resolve so matters.
The first was to return to Flower Fruit Mountain, to see Fan Xin!
Sun Wukong's heart had beco exceedingly tough after countless life and death experiences, but Fan Xin was the softest spot in Sun Wukong's heart. Toward Fan Xin, Sun Wukong harbored a deep and special emotion, an obsession of Sun Wukong's. (To be continued.
