Although many aspects of the trial in the Patrolling Celestial World had been within their expectations, much more had gone beyond their predictions. It should be known that both Xi Zhao and Ling Weiyang were masters of scheming and planning, equipped with detailed analyses and preparations for various situations. Even so, they hadn't anticipated the Spirit Controller abandoning them, as well as the sudden ergence of the Sealing Grand Formation.
In fact, it wasn't really fair to bla the two of them; even the Law Enforcers knew very little about the third-party forces, let alone Xi Zhao and Ling Weiyang. Feeling the imnse aura emitted by the Great Formation, the pair couldn't help but feel a sense of alarm. Judging by the strength of this Formation and the environnt, if there were no accidents, it seed entirely possible that the Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent could truly be sealed. This was sothing they could hardly imagine.

If they chose to watch from the sidelines and wait for the final sealing results, two outcos could follow: the seal might succeed, resolving all crises but also shattering Xi Zhao and Ling Weiyang's plan, with all their previous efforts going to waste. However, the only silver lining would be that their lives should be safe.
The second option was for the two to combine their forces and destroy the Sealing Grand Formation now. This approach could also lead to two outcos, either the destruction would be successful or it would fail. If successful, the sealing would fail, the Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent would resurrect and begin its destruction. Xi Zhao and Ling Weiyang's plan might succeed, but they would likely die there.
