Absorbing Cosmic Laws? Can a person with no breakthroughs absorb Cosmic Laws? Is that even possible? Or to put it another way, does it make sense? The Cosmic Law is, arguably, the most superior existence in this universe. No matter who it is, from One Pattern to Nine Patterns, one can absorb at most nine Cosmic Laws, and at least, also nine. That is to say, as soon as your strength breaks through, a Cosmic Law will forcefully integrate with you. Success leads to advancent, failure does not. This rule has never been broken by anyone, not even by the original Pioneers or the Underworld Venerate.
However, ever since Sun Wukong arrived in the Netherworld World and made his first advancent after devouring a soul, he had broken this rule. It was just that at the ti no one had noticed, and although Sun Wukong himself was aware of this, he did not find it strange. He even thought it was normal, and fortunately, he didn't ntion it to anyone else; otherwise, he might have long been taken away for research.
When Sun Wukong's first Cosmic Law rged with him, because he forcefully ca to the Netherworld World, his soul was injured, and under so influence, his first Cosmic Law actually repaired his soul injury on its own. Therefore, no matter how much Sun Wukong's strength later improved, he would always be short one Cosmic Law, which prevented him from becoming a Nine Patterns Supre. Because at this mont, Dao Zhun was using all his strength and the Cosmic Law as a guide to help Sun Wukong complete that missing Heaven and Earth Law. This act could definitely be described as defying fate, even more so than a cultivator facing tribulation.
For cultivators facing tribulation, it was because they had defied the Heavenly Dao, whereas Dao Zhun's current action was defying the Cosmic Rules. Each person only has nine chances in their lifeti to absorb Cosmic Laws, the first Cosmic Law absorbed by Sun Wukong repaired his soul and thus disappeared, but at that ti Sun Wukong was already at One Pattern of Dao Patterns. And when he broke through to Two Patterns, the second Cosmic Law he absorbed took the place of the first Cosmic Law, and the third replaced the second.
That ans, when Sun Wukong's strength rose to Nine Patterns Supre, he only had up to Eight Patterns Supre in terms of Cosmic Laws, the Cosmic Law corresponding to his Nine Patterns Supre level was missing; hence his true realm was only Eight Patterns Supre. Dao Zhun was now forcibly having Sun Wukong absorb a tenth Cosmic Law to fill the position of his ninth Cosmic Law. It was precisely because of Dao Zhun's earth-shattering actions that the super Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent also developed a strong interest. The Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent, with its inherently strong power, naturally had a sane level of spiritual wisdom, not extraordinarily bright, but also not different from that of normal humans. It was mostly dormant, which made it seem sowhat dull, but this was not the case. If anyone considered the Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent a fool, that person would be the real fool. Indeed, he was helping Sun Wukong to happily absorb and repair the ninth Cosmic Law, but if it were just that, Sun Wukong would at most beco like Xi Zhao, a Heavenly Venerate. Although he possessed the Five Elents Balancing Power and had the qualifications to reach the end of the Supre Path, how easy could that path be? Even the Pioneers who opened up this universe only ca close.
Therefore, Dao Zhun had a crazier idea, which was now being implented. In his early years, Dao Zhun was just an obscure cultivator whose strength had already reached the Domain Lord's Peak but was not considered outstanding. What propelled his strength to suddenly break through to the Heavenly Venerate level was the fortune of having once heard a Pioneer expound the Tao. That experience was imnsely beneficial for Dao Zhun, and it was then that he finally learned the thod to reach the end of the Supre Path.
Firstly, one must have a physique that embodies the Five Elents Balance; secondly, one must possess at least ten Cosmic Laws. Yes, at least ten. Possessing nine Cosmic Laws could at most lead one to the peak of Heavenly Venerate. However, if one could comprehend another Cosmic Law after possessing nine, to wit, obtaining ten Cosmic Laws, then this person would have already stepped onto the threshold of the endpoint of the Supre Path. Should one manage to assimilate one more on the basis of having ten Cosmic Laws, then this individual would be standing at the endpoint of the Supre Path, becoming a truly Immortal and Indestructible eternal being.
This is the true eternity, an existence that can transcend the confines of ti, immune even to the destruction of the universe. Therefore, Dao Zhun's ultimate goal was to make Sun Wukong the one who could reach the end of the Supre Path. Hence, rely completing Sun Wukong's ninth Dao Pattern was far from sufficient.
It must be said that the Great Formation laid out by the Spirit Controllers outside the Patrolling Celestial World was of considerable help to Dao Zhun. Without that formation, the chances of Dao Zhun recondensing Sun Wukong's ninth Cosmic Law would have been only fifty percent. Now, with the formation shielding the aura inside the Patrolling Celestial World, Dao Zhun was eighty percent certain. The remaining twenty percent of doubt was due to the threat of the Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent. After all, Dao Zhun had not expected there to be such a formidable entity in the Patrolling Celestial World; his original plan was to bring Sun Wukong back to the Fangcun Spirit Realm after the trial at the Patrolling Celestial World ended, and then to recondense the ninth Dao Pattern for him. But now, sensing his impending demise, Dao Zhun had no choice but to recondense the Dao Pattern for Sun Wukong amidst such dangerous circumstances.
What Dao Zhun was doing was not actually forcibly absorbing a completely new Cosmic Law for Sun Wukong to absorb; that would not only be extrely difficult, but would definitely incur the punishnt of the Cosmic Rules, rendering Nine Heavens Pure Thunder a re trifle. What Dao Zhun was doing was to disperse his own integrated Cosmic Law into the power of rules and then rge with Sun Wukong's spirit sea, thereby controlling Sun Wukong to reabsorb that dispersed Cosmic Law.
This thod greatly reduced the difficulty, not to ntion that the Dao Pattern was originally Dao Zhun's, making it much easier for him to reabsorb it. The first Cosmic Law he dispersed was Ti. Although the eight Cosmic Laws Sun Wukong previously possessed could not all be considered supre rank, they were quite suitable for Sun Wukong. Therefore, Dao Zhun naturally chose a law Sun Wukong did not have and yet greatly needed to absorb.
And the Ti Law was what Sun Wukong needed most at that mont. He had already absorbed a substantial amount of Primordial Space Force in Dao Zhun's mystic space, and his understanding of space had reached a rather high level—if not, he would not have been able to comprehend the divine skill 'Reset,' which integrated both ti and space. However, Sun Wukong's understanding of ti was shallow, resulting in the limited scope of his use of 'Reset.' At the very least, he could not use 'Reset' to avoid death.
During the last mont, when he was attacked by Xi Zhao's Thunder Fire Scorching Fla Cannon, he actually used 'Reset' at the very last mont. Although 'Reset' was activated, it had no effect, and he still died.
