Forty-nine individuals, leveraging their formidable strength, had already endured the most challenging phase. Now, the group had successfully regrouped, and barring any unexpected events, the siege by the ferocious beasts didn't seem too terrifying. Among these forty-nine, Wan Jun holding the Domain Instrunt Seven-Star Dragon Abyss and the Domain Lord Level Mo Wu, along with Long Tian, were the most outstanding.
It could be said that the reason why the group hadn't dispersed under the relentless onslaught of the beast tide was largely due to the presence of these three. Wan Jun and Mo Wu were positioned at either end, while Long Tian held the center. Though their circle was gradually shrinking due to the drain of spiritual power and physical strength, the ferocious beasts were also falling en masse at a rate akin to wheat being harvested.
Wan Jun wielded the Seven-Star Dragon Abyss, and with each swing, he drew swathes of starlight, while each ferocious beast he slew would spurt a stream of essence blood into the crimson-glowing Seven-Star Dragon Abyss. As Wan Jun's kill count grew, the vital energy's red light on the sword beca increasingly intense. This blade was undoubtedly a Supre Rank among demonic weapons, capable of harnessing the Power of the Stars and absorbing the fresh blood of its slain enemies during battle to nourish itself. So of the blood remained within the Seven-Star Dragon Abyss, cultivating the demon inside.
So, despite the exceptionally violent combat, Wan Jun's vigor only grew stronger, and each sword qi he unleashed was more potent than the last. If it wasn't for the restraint of his teammates, Wan Jun might have already charged alone into the throngs of ferocious beasts in a frenzied killing spree. In fact, Wan Jun was close to losing his sanity, his heart completely overtaken by the lust for slaughter and blood.
The original plan had been that once Wan Jun reached his breaking point, everyone would imdiately distance themselves from him and then rush towards the periphery individually. Of course, the purpose of this wasn't to carve out a bloody escape route but rather to avoid entering Wan Jun's attack range. Once Wan Jun was fully possessed, he would beco unrecognizable even to his kin.
On the other side, Mo Wu, while not as frenzied as Wan Jun, had a very bizarre thod of attack. At the start of the combat, he transford into a large mass of black fog, which then enveloped the raging ferocious beasts. What followed was even more peculiar: every beast shrouded by the black fog, regardless of strength, turned into a pile of bones within three breaths, landing scattered on the ground.
Furthermore, these bones appeared as if they had been exposed to wind and sun for centuries, disintegrating into dust with the slightest touch. So, although the battles on Mo Wu's side were not as sensational and aggressive as Wan Jun's, they were undoubtedly chilling to witness. However, the ferocious beasts seed to dive into the black fog in complete madness, their eyes reddened and charging in relentlessly.
This was a form of combat where rationality was completely lost, and of course, this refers to the ferocious beasts. Although Mo Wu's attack was peculiar, it seed he also had so reservations, not using his terrifying ability to slaughter widely. The black fog enveloped no more than ten ferocious beasts at a ti, and if more than ten charged into it, only ten piles of bones would remain after three breaths.
No matter how one looks at it, even though Mo Wu's killing speed wasn't the fastest, the impression it left was bizarre yet extrely effortless. While others were fighting bloodily and on edge, he seed to be at ease, as if he were rely dining or sipping tea. Naturally, he wasn't the only one appearing relaxed on the battlefield; there was also Long Tian.
Long Tian didn't transform into any black fog. He simply stood in place, casually surveying his surroundings with calm eyes, as around thirty different kinds of Dragon Souls of various colors and shapes whirled around him. These Dragon Souls, so as thin as arms, others seven or eight ters long, so in the form of Pangu Realm Divine Dragons with sharp claws and elongated bodies, while others resembled enlarged, evolved lizards.
And so Dragon Souls looked exactly like the physical forms of the Canglan River Realm's Crystal Water Dragons. Long Tian could actually control so many Dragon Souls in combat. Although they seed to be re Soul and Essence without potent attack power, the destruction and slaughter caused by the fluttering Dragon Souls was by no ans less than Wan Jun's. Moreover, apart from so lizard-like Dragon Souls that attacked physically, the majority used an incomprehensible thod of attack.
What the naked eye could see was dragon souls passing through ferocious beasts: the beasts would suddenly spasm, suddenly explode, suddenly wither, or suddenly vanish. Long Tian's attack was not only a visual shock but equally hair-raising. Nobody wished to die in confusion, without even understanding what was happening.
Thus, under the frantic harvest of these three individuals, thousands of ferocious beasts were incredibly held at bay by no more than fifty people. And judging by the current montum, these few thousand beasts were likely to be utterly slaughtered by these forty-nine people. Up to now, not one of the forty-nine had fallen, and they all maintained a certain level of combat power.
When the ground in front of Annihilation Palace was strewn with over two thousand ferocious beast corpses and the bodies of three Myriad Demons Allied Forces mbers, Wan Jun finally could no longer suppress the demonic energy within. With a roar, he burst forth. First, a columnar Demonic Qi shot into the sky, followed by a sudden, violent explosion in all directions.
By then, the others had already received orders and scattered in all directions at the sound of Wan Jun's roar. Faced with Wan Jun's overwhelming Demonic Qi, the ferocious beasts, instead of fleeing, beca even more bloodthirsty and frenzied. They almost completely ignored the allied forces mbers fleeing to the periphery, symbolically attacking a few tis before converging towards Wan Jun like mad.
At this point, there were still over two thousand ferocious beasts remaining on the battlefield. Sensing the sudden movent of the group, Mo Wu's face instantly turned unsightly. Wan Jun's possession had been planned, but the ferocious beasts' sudden outburst took everyone by surprise. No one could fathom why the beasts had collectively targeted Wan Jun – was it because he was too powerful, powerful enough to unite them against him?
That couldn't be right, definitely not. The horde of ferocious beasts had already fallen into a state of madness, fixated on slaughter and likely nothing else. Thus, the previous possibility was ruled out. Although the situation was puzzling, Mo Wu was sure of one thing: nothing could happen to Wan Jun. Even with his strength greatly enhanced after becoming possessed, facing over two thousand ferocious beasts that were utterly relentless ant certain death.
At that mont, Mo Wu was truly anxious. Anyone could die, but Wan Jun could not. A roar, as if it ca from the depths of Netherworld, erupted from Mo Wu and the black mist that was roughly ten ters in radius suddenly expanded rapidly, as if it had consud so powerful tonic, spreading out to nearly a kiloter in radius. Although the black mist seed much lighter now, nobody dared underestimate its terrifying ability.
Wan Jun, you cannot die. Even if it costs my life, I cannot let you die.
And just as Mo Wu erupted, Long Tian once again released seventy to eighty dragon souls from his body, all of which charged toward Wan Jun!
