As soon as Fen Yan’s words left his mouth, the token, originally only the size of a palm and resembling a burning candle, suddenly burst into a layer of cyan flas with a whoosh. These flas looked quite ordinary and not fierce, but the Evil Monarch was very wary of them. Seeing the flas rise, he didn’t hesitate to leap back and conceal his figure once again.
At this ti, Fen Yan dared not extinguish the cyan flas on the token and cautiously took a defensive stance again, feeling a sense of trepidation. The Evil Monarch’s timing had been too perfect. If it weren’t for his acquisition of the Ancient Divine Object, the token, he probably would have turned into a corpse by now.
Still, even with the token, Fen Yan could not afford to let his guard down. He cald his mind, thinking of nothing. And thus, silence enveloped the area once more, not a single sound, not even from the cyan flas burning on the token.
At this mont, the Evil Monarch was also feeling a scare, not having expected Fen Yan’s reaction to be so quick and the unimpressive-looking token to be the infamous Divine Object from Ancient Tis, the token. He found this very troubleso since he only recognized the flas in ti to evade them. Otherwise, once touched by those flas, he would either perish or be defeated.
The token, known as the Myriad Demons Country’s famous Divine Object since Ancient Tis, might look inconspicuous, but its power was enormous once successfully rged and consecrated. It could serve as an imnsely strong Defensive Artifact or as a weapon. Especially those cyan flas upon the token, which had a significant origin.
Those cyan flas, known as the Glazed Cyan Candle Fire, specifically burned Soul and Essence. Once touched, one’s Spiritual Power would be burned away, followed by Divine Sense, and eventually, the Soul would be completely incinerated. In this Soul World, the flas could directly scorch the Soul, the consequences of which were unimaginable upon contact.
Despite this, the Evil Monarch had managed to gauge Fen Yan’s strength from that hit. Powerful as the token might be, it was not unbeatable. With this realization, the Evil Monarch carefully started to withdraw.
Once he had put so distance between himself and Fen Yan, he stopped, biting a pitch-black dagger in his mouth, sitting cross-legged on the ground, and began to manipulate Magical Decrees, apparently preparing for a decisive strike!
anwhile, in another battlefield, the combat between Blade Master Old Wang and Han Ling had entered another phase. Due to their professions, Blade Master Old Wang had been in a passive and battered state, with his injuries worsening.
He noticed that while others were either gaining the upper hand or at least fighting to a standstill, he was the only one constantly taking hits and possibly the first to fall.
In a mont of resolve, Old Wang planted his long sword in front of him, regardless of the potential injuries, and drew out a Jade Vase from his bosom. He guzzled the green liquid inside in one go, then slamd the vase on the ground as if to vent the pain in his heart.
As Old Wang consud the liquid from the Jade Vase, Han Ling seized the opportunity, continuously shooting silver hairpins from her hand. In just a few breaths, Old Wang’s arms and legs were pierced by over a dozen hairpins.
Luckily for him, Han Ling, confident in her status, had not poisoned the pins, or otherwise, even with Old Wang’s formidable hidden ability, he might have succumbed to the poison by now.
However, Old Wang’s behavior was becoming strange. Ignoring the hairpins embedded in his body, he roared towards the heavens with a frenzy after drinking the liquid, his thunderous roar even disturbing the clouds above.
Before the roar subsided, Old Wang’s clothes began to tear, and his muscles started to swell violently, not just in his arms but all over his body. With his roars, Old Wang, already nearly two ters tall, rapidly grew further: three ters, four ters, five ters... He kept growing until he reached ten ters in height and stopped.
It wasn’t just his height that increased. Old Wang now boasted massive bulging muscles that clearly contained explosive power. Moreover, as he reached ten ters, dim outlines of an ancient-looking full-body Armor began to appear on him, glowing faintly as if harboring a strong defensive power.
Seeing Old Wang transform into a ten-ter giant, Han Ling realized that he had unleashed his trump card, and so she shouted out and ceased to hold back. She quickly stepped back and ford the Lotus Seal with her hands, chanting under her breath. Find more adventures on empire
Once the transformation was complete, Old Wang ceased his roaring and called for his snow-white long sword. After a flash of white light, the sword also transford into a giant blade over ten ters long. Just resting the blade on the ground caused a deep and bottomless crack on the surface—Old Wang realized the weight of his sword had increased a thousandfold.
Hefting the massive sword on his shoulder, Old Wang strode forward, charging towards Han Ling.
Although Han Ling’s eyes were closed at that mont, her Divine Sense could clearly capture Old Wang’s silhouette. Seeing Old Wang charging towards her like a War God of Ancient Tis, Han Ling couldn’t help but feel a surge of nervousness. However, her prepared moves were not slow, despite her nerves.
Just as Old Wang took his second step, Han Ling let out a shout and, out of nowhere, seven silver hairpins over three ters long appeared out of thin air.
At this point, they could no longer be called silver hairpins, but should be referred to as seven silver Arrows. These Arrows, arranged in the formation of the Big Dipper Seven Stars, shot straight towards Old Wang the mont they appeared. The intense impact created a whirlwind that rapidly transford into a tornado, engulfing the seven Arrows as it hurtled towards Old Wang.
Seeing these silver hairpins, which were now many tis more powerful than before, Old Wang was filled with confidence. He gripped the giant blade on his shoulders tightly, and when the Arrows were about ten ters away, he put all his strength into his arms and chopped down without the slightest rcy.
The blade’s strike, graceful and powerful like the collapse of Mount Tai, sent the tornado and the seven Arrows crashing to the ground. It cleaved the earth open, creating an abyss-like chasm that sprawled towards Han Ling.
Seeing that the Seven-Star Arrows had no effect, Han Ling was shocked, yet her movents remained unaffected. With a few leaps and bounds, she swiftly moved sideways, avoiding the spreading fissure.
However, although Han Ling dodged it, Chu Zhan and Shang Sheng, who were intensely engaged in battle, were too preoccupied to notice the danger. One mont they were clashing fiercely, and in the next, they both fell into the chasm.
But truly fierce were they, for even as they plumted into the fissure, they did not cease their struggle. At the mont they fell, both of them forcefully stabbed their Twin Swords into the walls of the chasm. Immobilized, their combat grew even more perilous.
Though the accident of cleaving the earth had ensnared Shang Sheng, Old Wang had no ti to attend to it, because, even after drinking half a bottle of Primordial Spirit Water in advance, the energy consumption of the Chaos Giant Transformation was far too imnse, leaving him with little ti to spare.
So, upon seeing Han Ling dodge horizontally, white light suddenly emanated from Old Wang’s snow-white blade.
In unison, Old Wang flicked his blade, and the white light shot forth, aiming straight at Han Ling. Witnessing the white light streaking towards her, Han Ling hastily dodged at the fastest speed she could muster. The spot she had just vacated was imdiately blasted into a large pit by the white light.
But just as Han Ling was about to breathe a sigh of relief, Old Wang, who was far away, suddenly vanished, only to reappear within the white light. At that mont, Han Ling had only retreated about five ters; upon seeing Old Wang reappear, she took two more steps back, leaving only ten steps between them.
With no hesitation, Old Wang erged from the white light and stepped forward, swinging his blade down. Han Ling, with nowhere left to retreat, clenched her silver teeth, a silver-white radiance emanating from her entire being, and in the very mont before the giant blade struck, she transford into a shield made up of countless silver hairpins.
This shield was peculiar, constructed from many over two-ter-long silver hairpins with their pointed ends facing outward and intersecting, much like a giant porcupine from a distance.
Then Old Wang’s giant blade, with the force of thunderous might, ca crashing down on the shield, and to his astonishnt, his strike was actually blocked. Although Han Ling was struggling to hold it back, she indeed managed to block it.
At that mont, Old Wang started to feel waves of weakness wash over him, aware that the ti for his Chaos Giant Transformation was running out!
