📢 New Novel Launch!
Yang Yi told Suna about the hallucinations he had experienced. What followed was a series of examinations, and only after confirming there was no cause for concern was Yang Yi finally set free again.
Suna began docunting the round of treatnt.
“Salt does work to treat the craving for gourt food, but it requires high doses to be effective. Unfortunately, the damage it causes to the human body progresses in tandem... If sea salt is replaced with table salt and the dosage is reduced, long-term and thorough treatnt might also yield results but it’s uncertain if it can actually cure it...”
She scribbled these notes into her notebook.
Yang Yi stood nearby, clutching a cup of plain water, sipping occasionally to ease his thirst.
He realised his desire for fine food wasn't gone yet, seeing how he still found Suna irresistibly appetising. He could even sll the sweetness of the sweat between her neck and shoulders. Stray locks of her ssy hair clung to her skin, making him want to brush them aside.
“Damn it!”
Yang Yi cursed under his breath.
It wasn't how the super-sensitive sense of sll his werewolf nature granted him was supposed to be used!
Yet the more he looked at Suna, the more mouthwatering she seed!
Suddenly, Yang Yi’s right eye turned into a vertical pupil, a sign he was about to shift into his wolf form. Just as quickly, that turbulent desire was suppressed.
“I’m going to get so air on the deck,” he muttered, and walked off.
His condition was complicated. He couldn’t tell if the feeling stemd from the werewolf’s primal craving for blood and flesh, or sothing else entirely. Maybe it was all of the above. However, giving in to desire would only lead to disaster!
Yang Yi stepped out of the cabin, wearing a tal bird-beak mask.
Evening had fallen. By dawn, he was expected to reach the island with the coordinates he’d previously recorded.
He checked the weather.
Today's Weather
Affected by the Bountiful Sea region, local temperatures are rising. The air carries a sweet, fragrant aroma. All living things are about to reap a bountiful harvest and so are you!
Location: Sea of Origin
Remaining daylight: 0.5 hoursTemperature: 23–27°CWind: Level 4
These weather interfaces often included random, bizarre ssages in addition to the usual climate data.
“Bountiful harvest for all...”
Yang Yi sensed sothing fishy but didn’t let it rattle him.
The sea breeze was refreshing. After a few minutes, the lust clouding his mind dispersed completely.
He checked his condition, his vitality was above 50 now and steadily recovering. By the following morning, he’d be fully restored, just in ti to explore the island.
At the chat channel, all players were preparing for the Bountiful Sea region and had grown more cautious around anything tasty or delicious.
The title system was also becoming more familiar among players, with so even developing a few tricks.
For instance... The most straightforward way to earn a title was to get the majority of players to recognise and refer to you by that na.
So, so players started testing this, spamming the chat from ti to ti with ssages like:
“Everyone listen up, I’ve got an announcent: I’m an idiot!”
“Damn right, idiot!”
“Yeah, you definitely are!”
“.........”
If you said you were smart, brilliant, or a genius, no one would buy it — unless you had solid proof. But if you claid to be a complete idiot, no one would ask for evidence. Everyone would simply agree... Yep, this guy’s definitely an idiot.
After spamming his ssage nurous tis, he finally got what he wanted, he unlocked his unique title: “Idiot”, and shared his experience with others.
Titles earned through broad player recognition were one of a kind. In other words, only the most universally acknowledged idiot would be granted the title "Idiot" by the system.
There was competition!
After sharing his tips and experience, the player quickly lost the “Idiot” title, because he was no longer “idiotic” enough to match the title’s spirit, which he deeply regretted...
“My ultra-rare title!! If I’d known this would happen, I would’ve kept my mouth shut!”
Aside from recognition-based titles, there were also identity titles. For example, the leader of the XX Fleet. However, those types of titles were harder to obtain — you must actually hold the corresponding position.
There were also titles awarded based on player behaviour.
Even players who went fishing once a week for an entire week could earn the title of “High-Purity Fishing Maniac”.
Yang Yi didn’t have that title, probably because he hadn’t fished enough.
So players suggested the title system was essentially an alternative form of achievent collection.
Yang Yi scanned through the channels and confird that no major events were occurring at sea. He then began posting ssages to purchase enhancent stones and high-grade gear.
“Buying enhancent stones at high prices! Also looking for Abyssal Soulstones and Artisan Inscriptions. Selling god-tier gear and bows with low Strength requirents, DM !”
His title imdiately caught other players' attention.
“Aberrant Hunter? How many aberrations did you kill to unlock that title?”
“He’s One-Eye! I rember that ID!”
“Wait, that’s One-Eye? Well, no wonder!”
Yang Yi didn’t reply.
He didn’t know how many aberrations it took to unlock the title. But if Ice Nest Cultists and Ice Nest Worms counted as aberrations, the number probably reached into the tens of thousands.
As for being recognised by ID and being known as One-Eye, Yang Yi didn’t mind.
He actually wanted to see if having a recognisable ID and title would make trading more convenient. If it did, he’d use this ID and title for trades in the future, and switch to a less noticeable one, like “Rabies Immunized”, at other tis.
After testing, Yang Yi was certain: titles gave a bonus to trading. The more eye-catching the title, the more attention it attracted!
In the chat channel, titles weren't displayed in plain text. Instead, they appeared in artistic fonts. For instance, the title “Aberrant Hunter” was a blood-red script, like it was dripping with fresh blood, making it stand out vividly among other titles.
In less than an hour, Yang Yi successfully purchased a low-tier Abyssal Soulstone for 87,500 Shell Coins — much more efficient than before.
The sa kind of ssage beca far more attractive when accompanied by a flashy title! But it wasn’t without downsides.
He started getting harassed more, receiving a flood of aningless private ssages. So asked how he got the title. Others wanted to team up. So were looking for Intel. Yang Yi couldn’t possibly reply to them all, it was just too exhausting.
He left most DMs on read without replying and even blocked so rude players but not without sending them a little gift.
After all, even One-Eye had his haters. They accused him of being selfish, of hoarding so secret thod to grow stronger! The crowd demanded that Yang Yi share his secrets so that everyone’s survival chances could improve.
To these people, Yang Yi typically sent pictures of deford fish, then blocked them.
