Late at night.

Yang Yi tossed and turned in bed. He was having a nightmare.

In the dream, he was strapped to a tal table by Suna, with leather belts binding all four of his limbs, completely immobilised.

At the sa ti, a gnawing hunger inside him was driving him to the brink of madness.

【Supre Appetite Detected. Your sanity is dropping.】

Yang Yi’s sanity had fallen below 50. He had entered a state of frenzy.

But the frenzy couldn’t suppress his hunger, it only amplified his strength, causing the taut belts to creak under the strain.

Suna appeared, her expression playful as she looked down at the struggling Yang Yi like he was a lab rat.

“You naughty dog, ti for so real punishnt!”

She grinned wickedly and rummaged through her treasure pouch, pulling out a blue, club-like object as thick as an arm.

“Awooo!”

The stimulus triggered Yang Yi, he let out a howl and transford into a werewolf.

The tight leather straps snapped instantly, unable to restrain his violent strength.

Yang Yi lunged at Suna, jaws wide open.

She scread in terror, her beautiful face drained of colour.

Yang Yi felt an overwhelming satisfaction as he sank his teeth into her neck, tearing her throat open and drinking deeply of her blood, licking up every drop until nothing remained but a blood-soaked ss.

And the taste of her blood... It was sweet.

Yang Yi jolted awake.

To his shock, Suna was sitting right by his bed, rummaging through his treasure pouch. Just like in the dream. Triggered by the mory, Yang Yi pounced on her and pinned her to the bed.

His sharp claws pierced her shoulder, instantly staining her clothes red. But Suna didn’t cry out in pain. Instead, her icy gaze locked onto him as she said calmly, “You were having a nightmare.”

Her cool voice and familiar scent helped Yang Yi quickly regain control.

“I’m sorry!”

He let go imdiately, only then realising he was still in his werewolf form.

As he pulled his claws out, Suna’s body trembled slightly from the pain. Yang Yi canceled his transformation, his three-tre-tall form shrinking rapidly, and hurriedly fumbled for a healing potion.

“I’ve got one in my bag,” Suna said, rejecting his help.

She sat up and drank a regeneration potion she’d taken from her own treasure pouch. The wound stopped bleeding quickly.

“I’m sorry, I was dreaming, I didn’t an to…”

Yang Yi tried to explain, but Suna cut him off, not wanting to dwell on the matter. “You need to drink more sleeping potions.”

“…Got it,” Yang Yi replied.

Suna didn’t say anything else. She got up and returned to her own room through the hole in the wall moving with a hint of sneaky suspicion.

“Suna, why are you always in my room?” Yang Yi finally asked the question that had been bothering him.

“Because your nightmares are so loud, I can’t sleep!”

“…Oh.”

So that was it. Yang Yi was left speechless.

“Sorry… does your shoulder hurt?” he asked again, apologetically.

“I’m fine.”

Suna returned to her room. Yang Yi, however, lay wide awake in bed. He had transford in the dream and also in reality. That ant the things he did in his nightmares were spilling over into the real world. The realism was too vivid to ignore.

“Maybe I should seal off the hole…” Yang Yi muttered to himself.

“No need!” Suna’s voice ca from the other room, startling him.

She heard that? Her ears were sharp.

Yang Yi couldn’t figure out what she was thinking and decided to stop trying.

As for the sleeping potion… it worked well, but once taken, it would knock him out for more than twenty hours. He didn’t want to rely on it too often.

He looked at the bloodstains on his fingers. The scent of blood lingered in his nose. Compelled by an unseen urge, he stuck out his tongue and licked them.

“…It really is sweet.”

First ca astonishnt then a cold, hard glint in his eyes, as a slow-burning fury stirred in his heart.

There was sothing fishy about that nightmare! The Suna in the dream was completely out of character. She would never teasingly call him a “naughty dog”! That was so not her style.

And if she had been tackled by his werewolf form, she wouldn’t have scread in fear like in the dream, she would’ve glared at him fiercely!

But so parts of the dream had been accurate, like the taste of her blood.

Yang Yi looked at his fingers and felt the urge to lick them again… but stopped himself and washed the bloodstains off with fresh water.

It had to be a side effect of being a werewolf.

anwhile, Suna had returned to her room and was inspecting her wound.

“Hope I didn’t catch feral lycanthropy…” she muttered to herself.

But considering how high Yang Yi’s body temperature had been earlier, infection seed unlikely. Then, she pulled out a little trophy she had secretly taken from him — a tuft of fur from Yang Yi’s transford body.

It could retract into the body, and she found that absolutely fascinating. What’s more, Yang Yi’s mass seed to change after transforming. Suna could feel the difference.

Previously, his body had been severely burned, with fluid loss and decaying skin, making comparisons difficult. But it was clear that when he transford into a werewolf, his body mass increased significantly.

It was absurd. It broke the law of conservation of mass. Could this have been the effect of magic essence?

Suna took out a vial of the super magic potion. It was only five millilitres. She still hadn’t decided how to use it...

“Hmph, Yang Yi really didn’t hold back!”

She felt a bit resentful. After all, she had gone to check on him out of concern!

…Even if she had taken the chance to snip a bit of his mane in secret…

Morning.

Yang Yi hadn’t slept a wink.

He reviewed every nightmare he’d had that seed to foretell the future and this one had felt especially off. Then again, it was probably because he trusted and understood Suna so well.

If it had been a stranger, the outco might have felt completely believable.

“Dream scenes are for reference only…”

Yang Yi concluded about the nightmare.

But the hunger he’d felt, he wouldn’t forget that. It would probably be the biggest threat in the Sea Zone.

Food had to be taken seriously.

He pushed open the door to the captain’s cabin, raised the anchor, and resud sailing. Glancing at the ocean map, he estimated that the Bountiful Sea Zone was still about twelve days away.

In the Winter Sea Zone, the number of remaining players had dropped to just over ten million.

Chances were, they’d all be out within a few days.

Wood prices had now risen to 8 shell coins per unit. Even if he found a lush island like the one before, profits would take a hit.

He checked the cooldown ti for the watchtower: still nine hours left. He’d have to wait until evening to scan the surrounding seas again.

“Better finish the planned greatsword and tower shield by then!”

With his goals for the day set, Yang Yi headed to the courtyard and grabbed a roasted fire monkey. Once dried and roasted, the monkey resembled jerked chicken, its original form barely recognisable.

He took a bite, it had a strong gay flavor, but oddly enough, he didn’t mind it. Still… if he was honest with himself, Suna’s fresh blood had tasted way better.

Yang Yi stiffened at the thought and quickly decided to switch to black bread and fla bananas instead.

After eating, he headed to the lab and began forging the greatsword.

He hadn’t even finished the first blade when Suna arrived to join the forging crew.

Yang Yi wanted to ask how her wound was doing… but for so reason, she seed to be in an unusually good mood?
