【You have dismantled the Courage, obtaining Wood x249, Cloth x45, Stone x150, Steel x13, Sulphur x32】
(Since there was already a hole, the amount of salvageable materials increased.)
The Courage disassembled before Yang Yi's eyes, turning into a pile of resources that flew towards the Nightmare Star.
With no hull to support it, the bonfire on the deck fell, crashing into a heap of ruins.
Among the wreckage was the forr captain, Ma Hou's corpse, now shattered into several large pieces.
If he had fire, Yang Yi wouldn’t have minded lighting a pyre to give the man a proper cremation.
Unfortunately, he didn’t. Magic didn’t work on the dead.
Yang Yi used his special vision to pierce through the white mist, locking onto the Nightmare Star's position before sprinting toward it.
It was ti to leave this icy wasteland.
…
On the Nightmare Star.
After being woken up by Yang Yi, Suna headed straight to the Witch’s Laboratory.
No one would disturb her, and she could finally imrse herself in her research, exploring the unknown!
Inside the lab, the skin tissue of an Ice Nest Worm lay on the table.
Suna grabbed pen and paper, carefully piecing the fragnts together while sketching, but after nearly half an hour, she still made no progress. Sothing was missing.
After all, these skin fragnts didn’t co from just one person. Trying to reassemble them into a complete whole was nearly impossible.
She racked her brain, then suddenly had an idea.
She recalled the runes she had seen before — those that appeared when Yang Yi used magic.
Back then, those runes had transford into tiny spiders that repaired Yang Yi’s severed right hand.
If she could compare and rge these two types of runes...
Suna imdiately took action, sketching directly on the floor.
Then, as if enlightened, she retrieved five spider corpses that had frozen to death and arranged them on the ground.
Next, she cut off a few tentacles from the pale wriggler larva and stacked them together.
She continued drawing, covering the floor with bizarre patterns that defied common understanding — symbols for limb restoration, runes linked to the skin, and her own interpretations.
The result was a magic circle so intricate and dizzying that a re glance could make one's head spin. It was filled with non-Euclidean geotric patterns and other incomprehensible shapes.
By the ti she was done, sweat drenched her forehead, but her face was alight with exhilaration.
【You have created a new spell — Summon Stitch Abomination】
The mont the notification appeared, the spell activated.
The pile of tentacles and spider flesh began to move, rging into a brand-new creature.
The spiders stacked on top of each other like a ga of Jenga, their legs twitching.
At the base, several thick pale tentacles extended outwards, undulating like soft, probing tendrils.
Suna was stunned, staring at the grotesque masterpiece she had created.
Yet, despite witnessing this horror, her sanity didn’t drop in the slightest.
She proceeded with tests to determine what commands the Stitch Abomination could follow.
After several trials, she discovered that the creature had virtually no intelligence — it only followed direct orders, acting more like a puppet.
She opened her status panel to check the spell's details.
【Na: Summon Stitch Abomination】
【Details: A unique spell created by Witch Suna. Requires a ritual circle and sufficient flesh to activate. Minimum mana cost: 7. The higher the quality of the flesh and the more mana injected, the stronger the resulting Stitch Abomination. Its lifespan depends on temperature and environnt and will degrade over ti or through combat. Under normal conditions, it will disintegrate after 12 to 48 hours.】
Suna’s magic reserves had grown — she could now cast spells consuming up to 7 mana.
The Stitch Abomination was a loyal servant, incapable of betrayal, and would carry out the summoner’s commands unconditionally — except for complex ones.
It could follow simple orders like attack, guard, follow, advance, or retreat.
The most complicated task it could handle was probably sweeping the floor, but it would never stop…
Just as she was in the middle of testing, she suddenly received a private ssage from Yang Yi.
He was back.
…
Half an hour later, Yang Yi returned to the Nightmare Star and inford Suna of his arrival.
He headed to the captain's cabin first, washed his face, and wiped himself down.
His previous down jacket and sweater were ruined, but luckily, he had a spare sweater.
With a thick cotton coat over it, he wouldn’t feel too cold.
The innermost layer, a sharkskin swimsuit, had survived the fire since he had taken it off in ti.
He stashed the swimsuit in the wardrobe, deciding to save it for when he actually needed to swim.
Until he found better swimming gear, this suit was still valuable!
Checking his private ssages, he found no new replies.
It seed icebreaker ship equipnt was quite rare — no one was selling any.
He attempted to contact Song Ying, asking if he had any information about icebreaker equipnt.
Unfortunately, the response was disappointing.
According to Song Ying, he had only ever seen one type of icebreaking ship equipnt — sothing called an "Impact Ram", which had already been purchased by the New World Fleet.
Getting it back from them was practically impossible!
Other similar ship components might exist, but none were available on the market. They were too rare — essentially one-of-a-kind items.
Yang Yi abandoned the idea of purchasing ship equipnt and moved on to Plan B — fire!
He called Suna up to the deck, but when she arrived, he was still caught off guard by the monstrous creature beside her.
A spider with a conjoined body, standing upright…with tentacles growing out of its head?
【Ugly creature detected. Sanity -3】
"This…this thing was made by you?"
Yang Yi felt a wave of unease.
"Yes. It’s a puppet created with magic," Suna replied.
"Magic…"
Yang Yi knew Suna could use magic, but he hadn’t expected it to be this…bizarre.
“What happened to your clothes?” Suna noticed his outfit had changed.
“Got a little burnt, but I can make thick cotton coats now, so it's not a big deal,” Yang Yi replied.
At that mont, he rembered sothing he had ant to give her.
“Right, I found a magic book on that ship. You might want to take a look.”
A charred book materialised in Yang Yi’s hands. It had been badly burned, its edges turned ashen white.
“A magic book…”
Suna was montarily surprised before her crimson eyes lit up. She imdiately reached out to snatch it.
Unfortunately, she failed — the book vanished into Yang Yi’s Worm Ring before she could grab it.
“You!!!” Suna felt like she had been toyed with.
“Hold on, calm down and listen to first.”
Yang Yi didn’t hand the book over right away but instead gave her a warning.
“Reading this book will cost you 20 sanity points. And while reading, the book will emit high heat, posing a fire hazard.
If you want to read it, you’d better soak in water first and drench yourself before opening it.”
Only now did Suna notice that Yang Yi’s eyelashes were completely gone — likely burned off. His eyebrows and the tips of his hair also had slight scorch marks.
“Wait until your sanity recovers to at least 70 before you ask for it.
Right now, your sanity is too low — only 54.” Yang Yi added.
Although Suna was displeased, she didn’t argue.
She glanced at Yang Yi’s sanity level — only 13 — and an emotion called envy bubbled up within her.
"Such an enviable ability," she thought to herself.
