Ryu felt the changes.
As expected, on the surface, there wasn't much. But he also realized sothing else when he began.
It wasn't just that it had never really been difficult for him to break through the Dao Ceiling, but it was also the fact he had two "Dao Hearts" inside of him.
His body wasn't used to using his original Dao Heart the way it was ant to. In addition, his Spiritual Foundation wasn't in the location it was supposed to be in.
On top of that, there were two "Godhoods" pulling for his attention, one ford in his White Phoenix Spiritual Foundation and the second ford in his Beyond Perfect Extre Spiritual Foundation.
'Is this what I was missing?"
A reflective light shone in Ryu's eyes. At that mont, his Clear Mirror Dao Heart seed to have layered over his pupils, making his eyes seem far more reflective than they had in the past.
Usually, his Silver Irises were forgettable. It wasn't just because they were more like a dull and muted grey most of the ti, but it was also that his Pupils themselves were attracting so much attention.
Even when others didn't notice it, his Heavenly Pupils were always there, and they would obviously detract from any beauty that his irises might have had.
But at that mont, it looked like his eyes had gained two blazing silver stars to them. 'I see... It's so obvious when I think about it now... how could I have missed this?'
There was a reason the Dao Heart was called the Dao Heart. It was the center of your cultivation, the Spiritual Foundation that held up all things.
In that case... how could it not incorporate your Dao...
And your Control.
The world shuddered around Ryu and solidified. His will manifested into a tangible form, and his Lord Control took such a large step forward that Adlael and the three-pupiled woman took a step back, almost mistaking Ryu's montum for soone who had just broken into the Sovereign Realm.
However, the reality was that Ryu's cultivation hadn't changed in the slightest.
He stood there in silence, his aura continuing to skyrocket as he poked and prodded at the changes in his body.
He felt that just the act of using his Spiritual Foundation the way it was ant to be
used, his power had easily doubled.
It was no wonder there was still a gap between him and Falling Snow. He had been using his Dao Heart properly while Ryu certainly hadn't been.
But these were also things that no one seed to speak about in a tangible form. There was nowhere to go and "learn" about this because Ryu was the only one who needed to learn of this after the fact... because he was one of the very few people who ever had to learn to live without his Spiritual Foundation and then adjust to the appearance of another.
Ryu even had a feeling that part of the reason people didn't have high opinions of those that inherited Spiritual Foundations from others was precisely because of this. It was just that they couldn't explain the incapability so clearly.
When taking on a Dao Heart from another person, who could it possibly ld and fuse with your own path perfectly? Instead, you would end up struggling to find and strike a balance.
The effort you would put into trying to find that balance would be so great that even if you did eventually manage to, you would either have used up so much Focus Qi that you would be worthless in battle, or you would have turned from the path that was perfect for you so much so that your own strength would take a plumt downward. It was almost sad now that Ryu realized it.
Because his Dao Heart had been stripped from him at such an early age, he hadn't realized that he had had all this power at his fingertips all the while.
What an irony...
Had he had Ailsa by his side, he certainly wouldn't have taken so long to realize it. At that mont, he also fixed a hidden danger within him. His unruly Dao Heart settled down and its thoughts of separating, though they had not fully vanished, had been tempered a great deal.
Ryu relaxed and his aura was like a tide of water that had risen so high that it peeked over a dam, spilling over slowly at first, before rushing out like a tsunami.
He took a breath and the world seed to breathe along with him.
At that mont, his rigid Dao Heart beca his greatest strength.
Whether it was Space, Ti, or Faith, they all bent to his will to a degree he had never experienced personally before, so powerful and strong that he felt like his Soul Nature had suddenly taken enormous leaps forward when in reality this was just the affinity he had always had finally showing its true might.
He waved a hand and ti froze.
Adlael was trying to escape, but by the ti he realized what was happening, it was too late.
He looked down in horror to find that Ryu had an arm through his chest.
"Im... possible..."
Who didn't know how hard it was to control ti? To completely grind ti to a stop in a world this powerful, and against an opponent who was a Realm above you...
That was completely unheard of.
Even those races with great elental affinity... simply couldn't... do this...
"Oh? You don't have protections on you? A sha," Ryu said lightly as though he didn't
really care whether Adlael was going to live or die.
In the end, he had died just as pitifully as his brother did.
However, as he was dying, Ryu sensed sothing odd and waved a hand.
Adlael's spatial ring shot into Ryu's palms.
Normally, Ryu wouldn't be bothered with the items of his enemies after their deaths.
But he realized a while ago that he was missing out on quite a bit of wealth.
Even compared to those monts, though, this felt different.
