Ryu looked up toward Star River with a smile and nodded.
"Thank you for saving ."
Star River had been infuriated before, though it didn't appear on her face. However, after hearing this, the irritation in her heart softened a little.
Indeed, if Ryu was in a mont of enlightennt, it wasn't good for her to interrupt it. The fact that he could stay calm with her appearance and not scramble in an attempt to please her, even if it ant losing out on his own Blessings, went to show just how firm his Dao Heart was.
Unfortunately, she didn't know that Ryu wasn't in a mont of enlightennt. And even if he had been, with his eyes, he was able to sink into such a state whenever he wanted. Plus, thanks to the Origin Fla, he could return to the exact state he had been in before any enlightennt, recreate it, and then accept the very sa blessings.
He wasn't a person who could be asured by common sense.
Ryu stood after he greeted Star River, looking around. There were the corpses of several Fiends around. Unfortunately, it seed that in the end, the Real Plane was the only one that lost Dao Gods.
"If you don't mind…"
Before Star River could understand what Ryu ant, many of the corpses in the surroundings were sucked toward the latter.
Ryu didn't just want to dissect so of them, but if he could use them to understand Chaos Qi more, that would definitely co with its own positives.
Star River was speechless.
She had seen other cultivators with a penchant for corpses before. After all, there were a few necromancers among the Moon Clan, so that much wasn't a surprise.
But this cheeky brat taking advantage of her efforts to casually claim several Dao Lord and Sovereign corpses… that was too much.
These deaths were still rits for her. Even as a Dao God, killing other Dao Gods was next to impossible. So these rits could be considered so of the best she would likely have this year.
Usually, on a battlefield, if she appeared, there would certainly be another equivalent Dao God present, so she couldn't just go around killing these weaklings wantonly.
Ryu could be said to have just snatched up a year of her salary so casually.
Of course, she was still a Dao God. She wasn't so poor that she was in need of money. Anything she didn't have, she could more than likely just take. Plus, she had accumulated more than enough wealth.
But this was still unacceptable to her.
"Child, you shouldn't bite off more than you can chew. Even if you have these corpses, whether you can refine them is a question mark, and even if you could, controlling their strength would be impossible for you."
Star River didn't want to outright say that Ryu had just stolen from her. What was her status? Griping over a few ant corpses was beneath her.
If Ryu could hand them back of his own accord, that would be for the best.
Unfortunately, she wasn't used to dealing with Ryu.
"It's okay. I don't plan on using them as corpse puppets just yet, I mostly want them for research. I can return them to let miss rest assured that I would not overstep my bounds in the future."
Star River's lip twitched, but there was truly nothing to say about Ryu's reply.
As for Ryu, he could see through the woman's thoughts with a glance. Ailsa would definitely only send soone she trusted to support him, and given her deanor, he understood Star River's type.
She was a woman who had likely been suprely talented all her life and had never suffered any hardship. She seed to be a rare mutated Faerie that Ryu had never heard of before. This Star Qi was certainly much different… And that was enough to paint the kind of unprecedented genius that she was.
However, it was also because she was such a genius that she had never truly experienced anything and could be considered to be a bit naive. He even felt that she was a bit adorable just now.
In fact, she hadn't even reacted when he called her "Miss" instead of a proper title.
At the sa ti… she had given Ryu another great idea.
He didn't expect her to ntion corpses, but the fact she had should an that controlling Fiend corpses wasn't outside the norm for powerhouses of the Real Plane.
In that case… wasn't that the perfect opportunity to hide his Chaotic Silk ridians?
Ryu felt like he was constantly fighting with a hand tied behind his back without his ridians. If he could use them openly, a lot of things would be far easier.
Of course, controlling a Dao Lord corpse puppet was impossible for the current him, let alone a Sovereign corpse. But wouldn't he have plenty of chances to catch weaker ones?
Star River shook her head. It seed that she would just have to take this loss and then make Ailsa cough up what this brat had taken from her.
Her big sister definitely wouldn't let her suffer such a loss without repaynt.
Thinking to this point, Star River was happy again.
"Okay, co with . Big sis—the Goddess has asked to take you sowhere."
Ryu raised an eyebrow. It couldn't be that his wife wanted him to handle another impossible situation, could it?
Suddenly, a hint of curiosity hit him.
"Miss, I'm curious."
"Hm?" Star River looked back.
"This Goddess, what's her Title?"
"Her Title?" Star River blinked. After a bit of hesitation, she opened her mouth and spoke.
When Ryu heard it, his voice bood with laughter. It was so loud that the clouds shook and the earth quaked. Even Star River was taken aback by the boldness of the laugh, it underlied a Dao Heart so fierce that her own seed dim by comparison. It was no wonder Ryu never really took her seriously.
No… it even seed that the phenona that spread after she spoke Ailsa's Title was lding and fusing with Ryu.
Star River's eyes suddenly widened.
"A good Title. A good Title indeed."
