1864 Odd
The duo stopped in a mountain range and began to recover. Ryu had used up quite a lot of his stamina using his eyes like that, while the pressure that Lu'card had been under could be imagined. As such, after they left the region, the first order of business was finding sowhere to recuperate.
It didn't take Ryu much ti to succeed, but he noticed that his Embryonic Qi had a much weaker effect on Lu'card in this world.
'It makes sense…'
Ryu ignored this matter and just fell into a silent ditation.
He had already noticed several peculiar things about this Beast Domain.
For one, because there were no Beast Clans, there was a hodgepodge of beasts sprinkled around everywhere.
Normally, this wouldn't be that shocking. After all, this was what most wilderness zones were like. There wasn't usually a rhy or reason for why a beast would be located sowhere…
Except for one thing.
Affinity.
That was what was so confusing. Beasts with ice affinities would be located in regions of extre cold. Beasts with fire affinities would be located in regions of extre heat. Beasts with water affinities would take up regions with large bodies of water, and beasts with earth affinities would prefer rocky lands and underground caverns.
However, in this place…
Just now, he had called out to Lu'card. Because of the thod he used, six of the nearest Sovereigns appeared. And yet, there was nothing that linked them together.
There was one ghost-like beast, another tal beast, another that seed to use blood…
The differing kinds were endless.
The obvious explanation was that this was just the natural progression of things in this world where Beasts followed their own paths.
But even in the case they did, shouldn't they migrate to regions that matched the path that they had chosen?
Now that he thought about it, while he was traveling around the Beast Domain, there didn't seem to be any specified regions for growth either. It just felt like everything was a chaotic mix of qi without any sort of specialness at all.
And if he went back even further, he had already done a decent amount of traveling through this world. But the number of beasts he had seen outside of the Beast Domain was… very limited.
Other than the ones in the army, it seed that he almost never saw them outside of the army. It was like they had all been killed and then herded into this one location.
'Fascinating…'
Ryu finished recovering and then stood. He walked to the peak of a mountain and then looked out.
He took a breath and then his eyes flashed.
[Third Perspective].
The basic ability of [Third Perspective] was to act as a sixth sense without limits. It could read the cultivation of those even far above him, it made cloaking skills basically useless, and it was far more useful for him, and flexible for that matter, than his Spiritual Sense.
However, it was also because it was so fundantal to his eyes' abilities that he didn't think about trying to improve it.
That said, his experience in combining and manipulating his other abilities, especially when he used [Rob of the World of its Color] and [Lines of Fate] in conjunction with one another, made him realize that there was much more potential in his eyes than even he saw.
In that case, why not see how far he could push things?
[Third Perspective] always appeared around him, so why not try to see if he could extend it?
For the first ti, Ryu felt strain while using [Third Perspective]. But this strain was actually a good thing… because he could feel that his [Third Perspective] was moving.
Soon, it had appeared hundreds of kiloters away and Ryu could see the region as though he was standing there.
Although Ryu's Spiritual Sense also easily had this range as well, what it didn't have was this sort of clarity.
The further one's Spiritual Sense got from you, the more difficult it was to have a sharp understanding of what was happening. Usually, at such a far-off distance, it was better to use your Spiritual Sense as a vague radar of sorts, picking up on powerful auras or dense amounts of qi.
By now, it was different.
Ryu felt his [Third Perspective] snap back.
'Odd… I can understand if there was a little bit of strain, but this much seems… exaggerated.'
It felt like there was a rubbery string in Ryu's eyes and he had just pulled it taut. But when he tried to pull it past that point, it snapped back.
Although this was sowhat useful to have, a few hundred kiloters wasn't enough as a True Sky God. He could cross that distance in a few blinks, and if he was ever truly in a situation where he needed to observe sothing, it would definitely have to be from much further away. That was because even with his normal eyes, he could easily scan through everything at that distance.
His vision was mind-numbingly sharp and couldn't be explained through normal ans.
'Odd…'
It seed that his [Third Perspective] was just not ant to be used like this. That seed to be the only reason it was struggling so badly.
In fact, if not for its mutation, maybe this wouldn't be possible at all.
'Unless…'
Ryu's gaze flashed as he seed to realize sothing.
"[Lines of Fate]."
He scanned a region thousands of kiloters away, and when he gained a grasp of the karma in the region, he cast his [Third Perspective] out again.
Ryu grinned the mont he saw this.
His [Third Perspective] zipped over with so much ease that it felt like his previous efforts were just a joke. In fact, it stayed and hovered in the region without the slightest effort.
'Doesn't that an that…?'
Ryu almost rubbed his hands together. Feeling out for a familiar karmic string within himself, he pulled on it.
The sight he saw made his nose feel a little hot.
