This was a change that was completely unexpected. No one but the most powerful could feel what Primus had done, but it made them just as confused. They didn't know what was happening, and obviously Primus wouldn't be explaining it to them either.
Eska's expression changed sowhat, but she soon cald down. She had an understanding of the situation that others didn't, so she could easily guess what had happened. She hadn't thought enough about the matter to guess this ahead of ti, but now that she had, it made perfect sense. Primus had no reason to risk his chances of completing the Cycle of Karma just to allow Ryu to enter a place that was insignificant to him.
He obviously didn't care about Ryu's progression or how far he would make it. Maybe in Primus opinion, just having him follow him around was a great boon for Ryu and he was actually trying to waste it.
If it was up to him, he would just directly lock Ryu up for these ten years. The trouble was that if he didn't actually help Ryu, then how would he be completing the Cycle of Karma? That said, he didn't have to go above and beyond.
For the sake of Ryu, he had already offended the Nine Powers by being the de facto protector of both Iseine and Eska. He was already doing more than enough. He didn't have to jeopardize himself any further. Plus, this situation would only be until the Complete Heavenly Path gateway closed. After that, he would release Ryu as though nothing else had happened.
Ryu couldn't move at all as there was a sudden WHOOSH.
Qi began to swirl and rainbow clouds began to shimr into existence one after another. Soon, an enormous portal had ford.
Usually, when such a large pull of spatial qi was created, there would be so great changes to the region. But this ti, nothing of the sort happened. In fact, it was impossibly calm and tranquil, without even the slightest wind.
Aika looked toward Ryu, feeling quite a bit of apprehension at the mont. The requirents for crossing into the Seventh Heaven from the Sixth was far stricter than it had been for the Third to the Fourth. Even though Selheira was participating this ti, she still didn't have 100% assurance because the Complete Heavenly Path not only had many more variables, but there was no doubt that the mbers of the Radiant Star Sect would be targeted by those of the Fading Star Sect.
But even more importantly than that, she was worried about Ryu. She had thought that he and his Ancestor were a package deal now, it was even part of the reason there had been so many argunts between them. Though, these argunts had died down after his breakthrough. He had now beco soone worth taking a jeopardize on. But now...?
Ryu couldn't even change his facial expression when Aika looked at him. He even had on the sa relaxed expression, but no one took comfort in this. They simply assud that he had never seen this coming, how could a World Sea Realm expert react to a Dao Sovereign?
Aika bit her lip. With her usual fiery temper, she would have usually done sothing by now. But this was Ryu's Ancestor, not a normal person. She didn't feel that it was right to even ask to allow Ryu in if he didn't want to allow it. Ryu's loyalty to his family should obviously be higher than his loyalty to a Sect he had only been in for a short while, especially when she had practically strong ard him into being a part of them.
Ryu had never really treated the Sect like it was his ho. Even when he beca an Inheritor Disciple, that wasn't by choice, but rather a choice that she had made for him. Then there was her slip of the tongue that caused her to almost have to be promised off to her juniors.
Looking at the woman by Ryu's side, Aika sighed. What she was feeling wasn't jealousy, but rather a bit of self deprecation. Although she had never really said it, she felt that it was a boon for Ryu to be attached to her as a potential husband, regardless of how talented he was. Ryu treating that matter as casually as he had had left her a bit speechless. Didn't he know how many powerful n wanted her?
In fact, if she appeared on the Eighth and Ninth Heavens, there would probably even be Dao Gods pursuing her hand in marriage.
But looking at Eska, she seed to realize sothing. While she didn't think Eska was so much more beautiful than she was, in terms of grace and elegance, she was surpassed by far. Aika had always had a hint of a roguish and immature air that couldn't be found anywhere near Eska. In fact, Eska seed to repel such an aura with ease.
Even though Eska was several tis weaker than her, maybe if this woman appeared on the Eighth and Ninth Heavens, so Dao Gods might directly forego her for the sake of this woman right here.
She felt that it was improper to keep pushing. With a sigh, she waved her hand.
"Enter."
Her command left no room for questions.
Selheira gave Ryu a glance before flickering and vanishing, being the first to enter. Soon, a storm of youths began to fly by.
Jojo didn't forget to give Ryu a glare. "Coward!"
After she said this, she too vanished. Once all of the Seventh Heaven geniuses were gone, the Sixth Heaven geniuses made their move, then the Fifth, and finally the Fourth. Soon, only the seniors and Ryu remained.
Eska sighed. She had never released Ryu's arm as though to signify that she would remain by his side, but at that mont, she suddenly felt a rush of a milky white qi enter her body. Before she could be surprised, she rembered to maintain her calm. She had seasoned too many years of life to lose her composure so easily.
At that mont, the gateway began to slowly shrink, accelerating toward closing until next ti.
It was then that a dense grey fog flickered in Ryu's eyes.
