The Saintess of Prophecy…

Charlotte’s heart stirred slightly.

Just as the Theocracy has its own saintess, the bloodbornes at the peak of their power also had their own “saintesses,” or more accurately, divine agents.

Even though the strength of the bloodbornes has waned considerably, many clans still retain the position of “saintess.”

Of course, in modern tis, most of the ancient princes have either fallen or disappeared, and the saintesses of the various clans are no longer guaranteed to be agents of divine beings.

Take Ancia, the Pure White Witch of the Vadallat Clan, for example.

She beca the “Pure White Saintess” simply because her bloodline was the strongest in the clan, and she personally negotiated with the “Puppet Duke.”

However, the Nez Clan was different.

When Charlotte subjugated the Nez Clan, she had already heard about Eugenia, the Saintess of Prophecy. This bloodborne, known to the Theocracy as the Witch of Prophecy, was a true agent of myth, a follower of the Stargazer Casey.

Charlotte had wanted to et her back then, but Eugenia had been in slumber at the ti.

Back then, Charlotte’s power was still weak. Out of various considerations, she chose not to pursue the matter further and instead instructed the Nez Clan’s elder, Roan, to inform her when Eugenia awoke.

With this thought in mind, Charlotte extended her senses and quickly detected an unfamiliar bloodborne aura just outside the palace.

The aura struck Charlotte as strange. It was at about the level of a Count—essentially in the Blazing Sun tier—but in Charlotte’s perception, it felt like a bottomless black hole, constantly consuming the surrounding laws and magic.

This discovery piqued Charlotte’s interest.

The ability to absorb extraordinary power like a black hole was a hallmark of myths.

Clearly, this “Witch of Prophecy” was indeed special. If nothing else, her body seed to carry traces of myth power.

“Let her in,” Charlotte said, her curiosity evident.

Duke Roan respectfully withdrew, and shortly after, a female bloodborne clad in the Nez Clan’s ceremonial robes entered the palace.

She was strikingly beautiful, with chestnut hair and crimson eyes, her deanor respectful and submissive. Yet, the mont she stepped into the palace, Charlotte’s Gospel of Blood within her consciousness suddenly erupted in radiant brilliance.

In an instant, Charlotte’s silver hair replaced her usual golden locks, and her blue eyes turned into a blazing crimson gold.

The blood divine power surged within her, transforming the surroundings into an ancient and solemn castle adorned with carvings of thorns and roses.

At that mont, Charlotte had involuntarily unleashed her blood divine power, manifesting her domain of blood!

Charlotte stood up imdiately. The combined force of her blood divine power, holy power, and origin power surged together, barely suppressing the restless Gospel of Blood, which seed ready to fly out of her body.

And the to’s target? The Saintess of Prophecy who had just entered the palace!

Charlotte’s crimson-gold eyes widened, fixing on the saintess.

Through the gleaming divine power in her gaze, she saw not the bloodborne she had sensed but a hovering, weighty to bathed in faint crimson light.

It was… the Gospel of Blood.

The Gospel of Blood?

How could there be another Gospel of Blood?!

Charlotte was utterly stunned.

But she quickly regained her composure.

Artifacts were unique, especially sothing as supre as the Gospel of Blood.

Crimson divine power spread further, and with the enhancent of her Eye of Truth, the entity before her gradually transford back into a respectful bloodborne woman.

No, it was never a “book” to begin with. It was an extension of the power that shared the sa origin as the Gospel of Blood—a phantom so potent that it had caused the to within Charlotte to react.

And the source of this phenonon was located in the saintess’s heart—or more precisely, within her body, where a fragnt of the Gospel had been hidden.

It was a torn page of the Gospel.

Realizing this, Charlotte did not feel entirely relieved.

After all, her Gospel of Blood had been fully restored in the Coria Kingdom. By all logic, there should not be any remaining Gospel’s fragnts.

Even if there had been incomplete pages, they should have dissipated the mont the Gospel was restored, with all its power returning to the main body.

Yet now, Charlotte was witnessing an impossible sight: a remaining fragnt embedded within Eugenia, the Saintess of Prophecy.

This absurd scenario was akin to a true God who had kindled divine flae and forged their divine core suddenly discovering another fragnt identical to their core.

What puzzled Charlotte even more was that after “seeing” this fragnt, she felt a strong sense of familiarity and closeness, as though the fragnt was ant to belong to her all along.

Driven by curiosity and a deep-seated resonance within her soul, Charlotte attempted to summon the fragnt through the Gospel of Blood.

In her consciousness, the Gospel of Blood radiated its power, and the fragnt within Eugenia responded in kind with its own crimson glow.

The next mont, the fragnt shot out of Eugenia’s body, and with its departure, Eugenia’s aura surged dramatically.

She stood rooted in place, her eyes shut, entering a profound state of transformation. Her suppressed bloodline powers erupted like a long-dormant volcano.

“So, the fragnt has been suppressing her all this ti…”

Witnessing this, Charlotte’s heart stirred again.

However, her attention soon shifted away from Eugenia.

After the fragnt of the Gospel erged from Eugenia’s body, Charlotte imdiately felt an overwhelming “malice” surging toward her from all directions.

It was the sa “malice” she had experienced from the “world” before. But this ti, the target of that malice wasn’t her—it was the fragnt of the Gospel, sothing that should not exist.

No… this malice was even stronger than what Charlotte had once “endured”!

Heavy clouds gathered over the skies of Starfall City. Thunder roared, magic power surged… In that mont, the entire world seed to co alive, unleashing a torrential wave of malice, as if determined to utterly obliterate the fragnt of the Gospel that had appeared in this realm.

Wisps of white smoke rose from the fragnt, quickly turning into flas—it was burning spontaneously!

“This world… does not permit its existence!”

Charlotte instantly understood.

Her expression shifted to one of defiance.

“If the Creator’s Will won’t allow its existence, then… I will make it exist!”

Crimson divine power spread out, enveloping the fragnt in an instant. Runes of thorns and roses flickered across it, shielding the fragnt from the torrent of malice.

At that mont, Charlotte directly invoked the power of her true divine authority.

The overwhelming malice imdiately redirected itself toward Charlotte, but it quickly dissipated under the might of her divine power.

With its target gone and no additional force sustaining it, the clouds in the sky soon dispersed, and the surrounding magic power returned to normal.

The fragnt of the Gospel, sothing that should not exist, floated gently into Charlotte’s hands.

Charlotte examined the fragnt.

Though called a fragnt, it was more like a torn corner from a book.

It shared the exact sa material as the Gospel of Blood, glimring with an unsteady radiance, shifting between illusory and tangible states—as though it constantly switched between “existing” and “doesn’t exist.”

At the sa ti, Charlotte sensed a familiar power emanating from it.

“This is… the aura of a ti anchor?”

A ti anchor!

The Gospel of Blood possessed the ability to traverse ti and space. In the past, Charlotte had repeatedly used its power to travel back in ti.

Each ti she returned to the past, the Gospel of Blood within her would disappear, replaced by a projection of the Gospel. In technical terms, after a ti traversal, the Gospel would transform into a ti anchor, concealed within the void, leaving only a set of coordinates in her soul for her to navigate back and forth.

And now, she detected the sa aura within this fragnt.

Charlotte imdiately understood.

“I see… This is a fragnt of the Gospel that has ‘escaped’ the confines of temporal tracing—a fragnt that, like when I traversed ti, has ‘crossed’ temporal boundaries.”

With this realization, Charlotte gained deeper insight into the fragnt’s nature.

“It seems… it was once housed within Eugenia, sustained by alternating between illusory and real states to maintain its existence.”

“But now that I’ve summoned it back into reality, with the Gospel itself already complete, it will soon vanish.”

“After all… it doesn’t belong to this tiline and should not exist here.”

Charlotte murmured to herself.

As if to confirm her speculation, the fragnt in her hand began to turn illusory again, on the verge of disappearing.

However, just as it was about to fade away, the Gospel of Blood within Charlotte flared with radiant light.

A powerful attraction surged forth, prompting Charlotte to instinctively want to resist. But after a brief mont of contemplation, she chose to let go.

The next instant, the fragnt dissolved into a stream of light, rging into Charlotte’s body and fusing with the Gospel of Blood. Monts later, a golden divine symbol of thorny rose slowly erged on the Gospel’s cover.

For a brief mont, Charlotte felt the Gospel of Blood beco more vibrant, almost alive.

She pondered, a few guesses forming in her mind.

A faint sound of low groaning drew her attention as the Saintess of Prophecy, Eugenia, who had been standing still, slowly awakened.

Her aura had unknowingly advanced to the Legendary tier. Her eyes, still clouded with confusion, betrayed her mortal perspective—she had not “witnessed” the mythical transformation that had just occurred.

As she carefully examined herself, her expression quickly shifted from shock to joy.

She raised her head to look at Charlotte, who sat on the throne. With overwhelming gratitude, she knelt, her voice trembling with reverence.

“Eugenia, the sinner, offers her deepest thanks for the salvation of the True Ancestor!”

This familiar scene made Charlotte pause montarily.

The solemn and majestic castle.

A legendary female bloodborne clad in the robes of Nez, bowing respectfully in worship.

And atop the throne… a silver-haired, crimson-eyed girl.

This was a scene Charlotte had recently seen.

It was the “prophecy” she had witnessed in the Coria Kingdom’s sacred grounds.
