Amidst the thunderous and fervent worship of the bloodbornes, Charlotte rose from her throne and left the restricted area of the two major clans.
She retracted the two mythological golems and once again transford into her youthful form. However, her aura had undergone a significant transformation.
Previously, her deanor leaned more toward “human.” But now, after fully mastering the power of the True Ancestor, the transcendent authority exuded in her every gesture had all but eclipsed her humanity.
Even Nice, who was typically carefree around her, couldn’t help but draw a sharp breath upon seeing her erge from the sacred grounds. The mischievousness was gone, replaced by an obedient and reserved deanor.
The sa was true for the Guardian Scepter.
It bowed to Charlotte with deep respect, its solemnity far greater than before.
Clearly, at this mont, in the eyes of this wisdom artifact, Charlotte—having fully “reclaid” the power of the True Ancestor—had truly beco the legendary figure who once stood at the pinnacle of the gods.
As for the other bloodbornes, they were even more cautious, subdued under the dual oppression of bloodline and power.
It wasn’t until Charlotte withdrew the oppressive aura of the True Ancestor that the somber and stifling atmosphere began to ease.
“Your Majesty, the True Ancestor, congratulations on reclaiming your power and once again ascending to the supre heights!”
The Guardian Scepter dismissed the gathered bloodbornes and spoke with reverence.
Reclaiming the pinnacle of power…
Charlotte felt a touch of self-mockery.
Even Lilith, at her peak, failed ti and ti again throughout history. At best, Charlotte had rely gained the sa level of power as Lilith once held, with the addition of the Gospel of Blood.
Her mastery over her power was still far from Lilith’s. To call her ascent a return to supremacy… Charlotte felt more like a rookie suddenly handed a maxed-out account she couldn’t fully grasp.
Perhaps with another ten or twenty years, she could completely control the vast power she now possessed. But for now, whether it was ascending to true God or achieving complete mastery of her current power, everything felt like it had been fast-tracked on a rocket. Utilizing it as naturally as an extension of herself seed far from easy.
At the very least… If she were to face an adversary as formidable as the one even Lilith couldn’t defeat, Charlotte had no confidence in securing victory with her power alone.
But nothing is absolute.
At least, through this absorption, the Gospel of Blood in her hands had been fully restored, becoming a supre artifact of the bloodbornes in the truest sense. 𝖗ΆNỔ𝖇Ę𝘚
Though Charlotte hadn’t tested it yet, even through her connection with the Gospel, she could sense its power surpassed her wildest expectations.
This wasn’t just because it contained divine power comparable to her own, but also due to its extraordinarily high status and the laws embedded within it.
In Charlotte’s perception, the restored Gospel essentially encompassed the entire power set of the True Ancestor. It contained every spell ever possessed by the bloodbornes since their inception, complete with their fundantal laws and purest bloodline power.
In other words, a perfected Gospel of Blood was essentially a True Ancestor in book form.
Charlotte even had an inexplicable feeling that, in the hands of a mortal, this Gospel could instantly grant power equal to that of the True Ancestor.
And if Charlotte herself wielded it, it could compensate for the deficiencies caused by her lack of familiarity with her newly acquired power.
Of course, if that were all, her current self might not be much different from the “previous life” rembered by the Guardian Scepter.
After all, according to Charlotte’s probing, her “past self” had also restored the Gospel of Blood.
But this life had its variables.
One of them was the origin power Charlotte had mastered.
From her indirect questioning, it beca clear that her “past self” had not wielded origin power. Nor did the Gospel of Blood.
This ti, however, was different.
Through nurous crossings and the “purification” of the origin corruption, Charlotte had not only gained the ability to manipulate origin power on so level, but her Gospel of Blood had also undergone a peculiar transformation after its restoration. It now possessed partial access to origin laws.
In other words, as Charlotte purified the origin malice ti and ti again, she seed to have begun to reverse-“pollute” it.
This was the main reason Charlotte, despite knowing she might be walking into a preordained script, chose to follow its path step by step. It was also one of her trump cards.
Of course, it wasn’t her only one…
“Your Majesty, is sothing troubling you?”
The Guardian Scepter respectfully inquired, noticing Charlotte deep in thought.
Charlotte glanced at it.
The Guardian Scepter…
Since arriving in the Theocracy, this wisdom artifact had guided her every step, like a beacon leading the way.
Without it, reclaiming her power might have taken much longer.
Still, its trustworthiness was sothing Charlotte found herself questioning even now.
It claid to be a follower of Harald. But sowhere deep within, Charlotte couldn’t shake the feeling that neither Harald nor his followers were truly trustworthy.
This intuition seed to stem from a warning, though she couldn’t recall its source.
Even so, it was enough to keep Charlotte wary, especially after Harald’s disappearance within the Sacred Realm.
For now, the Guardian Scepter had been diligent and loyal, showing no signs of malice. Its power was insignificant compared to Charlotte’s, and it had even entrusted the critical control of the Holy Court’s faith to her entirely…
So while Charlotte remained cautious, she chose not to make things difficult for it, only raising her guard slightly.
With these thoughts in mind, Charlotte turned to the wisdom artifact once more.
“Guardian Scepter, in my previous life… How did I ultimately fail? And what beca of the Castell territory and the Starfall Kingdom?”
The Guardian Scepter paused for a mont before answering respectfully.
“Last ti… you regained your power too late. You were unable to prevent that entity’s revival or stop the ensuing destruction. In the end, you were forced to use the supre artifact to initiate a reset…”
“As for your territory… When that entity revived, it descended directly in the northwestern part of the continent, annihilating half of it in an instant. Everything… was swallowed by the sea in the blink of an eye.”
The Guardian Scepter said, its tone tinged with lingering fear.
Charlotte nodded slightly.
Although she had her suspicions before asking, the Guardian Scepter’s words essentially confird them.
The Guardian Scepter likely wasn’t deceiving her. Now that she had ascended to the peak of a true God, even if she hadn’t fully mastered her power, she could easily discern the truthfulness of its answers.
There were no signs of tampering in the Guardian Scepter’s mories. This ant that what it described about the previous tiline’s outco was probably true.
Thus… Charlotte’s perception must also be correct. The letter she had just received truly presented a vision of her impending “future”!
But… the future of a myth is inherently unobservable.
Especially now that she had begun to wield origin power.
She didn’t know why the being who prepared the letter had shown her those things, but it definitely wasn’t to dissuade her.
It must be… a warning, a reminder, a projection of the future to guide on how to proceed next.
Charlotte thought silently.
Noticing her silence, the Guardian Scepter hesitated before speaking again.
“However, this ti, you have regained your power far more quickly than before, and the situation hasn’t deteriorated as badly.”
“Not only that, but I faintly sense that your power seems even stronger than it was in the previous cycle…”
“If we act before that entity revives, we might have a chance to gain the upper hand and achieve final victory!”
The Guardian Scepter said reverently.
Charlotte paused for a mont before suddenly asking,
“And if we fail to gain the upper hand?”
“Fail… to gain the upper hand?”
The Guardian Scepter was montarily stunned.
After hesitating briefly, it replied solemnly.
“If we fail… then I’m afraid there will be no more chances.”
“All signs suggest that entity has already beco aware of the power you possess. Even if you reset the cycle again, it’s likely it would still be able to pursue you…”
“It is one, and it is all. It is the source of everything and the end of all things. If that ti cos… we may no longer be able to deceive history, and all loopholes will likely be sealed by it…”
“Thus… this may well be our last chance.”
The Guardian Scepter said with deep concern.
“Our last chance…”
Charlotte murmured to herself.
She raised her right hand and caught a drifting leaf.
Where the Guardian Scepter could not see, a white radiance gathered in her hand, faintly visible. This light continuously devoured the pale mist spreading from the eerie stone door deep in her consciousness and grew, albeit at an almost imperceptible rate.
It was the purest form of origin power.
Lowering her gaze, Charlotte withdrew her hand, her expression indiscernible.
“That… might not be certain.”
She murmured.
The Guardian Scepter froze, as if it wanted to speak further, but ultimately held its tongue. Charlotte, however, did not pursue the topic further.
A crimson glow flickered briefly in her pupils as she glanced at the storm clouds rolling across the horizon. Turning to the bloodbornes behind her, she issued a soft command.
“War… is coming. Spread the word—tell the Szellem and Vadallat Blood Legions to prepare for battle.”
“Ready the long-range teleportation arrays. Use my Thorny Rose as the guiding coordinate for the array’s core.”
Having said this, Charlotte turned to the Guardian Scepter once more.
“The sa goes for the Holy Court.”
After issuing the mobilization order, Charlotte glanced at the black cat, who sat quietly and obediently by her side.
“Nice, ti is of the essence. Prepare yourself. We’re heading back to Starfall imdiately.”
With a sigh, she added.
“If my suspicions are correct… Sebastian might be in trouble.”
