Chinese!
Charlotte’s gaze froze instantly.
The first thought that flashed through her mind was that the letter might have been left by Lilith.
However, this idea had obvious flaws.
Lilith knew she was an otherworldly visitor but might not know exactly where she ca from.
Moreover… Lilith had never used Chinese to communicate with her.
Of course, this possibility could not be ruled out, but compared to Lilith, Charlotte faintly leaned towards another sowhat absurd idea.
Chinese…
The deliberate use of this language seed more like a hint, a reminder.
Thinking of this, Charlotte looked at the envelope, or more precisely, at the iconic thorny rose pattern on the envelope.
Her expression turned slightly subtle, and her heart filled with speculation.
Could it be… I wrote this to myself?
This wasn’t impossible.
The Gospel of Blood possessed the ability to traverse history, and there was still a significant portion of the historical tiline that remained blank and unfilled. If this were left behind by a future Charlotte after traversing history again, it was entirely plausible.
But Charlotte also had doubts.
Lilith had once said that history that has already happened could not be changed. This presented a contradiction. Since this envelope already existed here, it ant that if it truly was left by her future self, then the Charlotte who traveled back in ti had already written this letter.
In other words, this was already a part of history. Yet, at present, Charlotte had not undertaken any new ti travel, and the blurry, incomplete historical period available for travel remained unfilled.
Could the incomplete history also be “already happened” history?
Charlotte frowned slightly.
After so thought, she invoked divine power to open the envelope.
Inside was only an old piece of parchnt, entirely blank, with nothing written on it. However, Charlotte sensed a familiar power emanating from it.
With a thought, her divine power surged, covering the parchnt in a crimson glow. The next mont, the parchnt also emitted a crimson radiance.
The blood divine power!
Charlotte’s heart stirred.
The familiar divine power interwove, and an encrypted ssage sealed within the parchnt erged, flooding into Charlotte’s mind…
…
In a solemn castle, a brown-haired woman dressed in the clan robe of the Nez Clan bowed respectfully to a silver-haired, red-eyed girl.
In an ancient and tiworn temple, cloaked elves prayed continuously toward an altar engraved with a sun symbol, golden brilliance rising to the heavens.
Collapsed structures, crumbling cities. Thick black smoke and roaring flas burned across the land as a knight enveloped in black flas charged with a lance, clashing with an army clad in silver armor. The crescent moon banner fluttered in the wind, suspended behind the black knight, while a grotesque mutated warhorse trampled the eagle and lilac banners under its hooves.
A cathedral surrounded by crosses burned in the flas. Priests wrapped in fire displayed fanatical and fervent expressions, worshiping the sky until the flas consud them entirely.
Bones piled into mountains. Those Charlotte could na lay scattered as sacrifices.
Sebastian, Nice, Bardock, Albrecht… They lay in pools of blood, eyes empty, with black lines spreading across their bodies.
At the top of the mountain of corpses, a blood-soaked girl knelt with her sword, a blood moon hanging dimly behind her. The golden longsword bearing the Roman symbol in her hands was cracked and broken, and her silver hair was nearly dyed red with blood.
She raised her head, her golden-red eyes filled with rage—yet within the rage was a grief as though all paths were blocked.
In the sky, it was neither night nor day but a bizarre fusion of both.
The sun was gone, replaced by a giant eye with a deep black pupil surrounded by radiant light, exuding a holy yet evil aura that made even Gods tremble.
A massive rift almost split the sky in two, like a torn curtain revealing a shimring galaxy in the crack.
Golden and black brilliance intertwined, spreading pale halos across the land, draining it of all life.
Trees withered, rivers dried up, and animals collapsed into skeletons. Those fervently worshiping the sky turned into piles of white bones, maintaining their final postures of devotion.
The girl’s hands trembled, golden and black brilliance crawling up her body along the mountain of corpses.
Pale light spread across her, and she opened her lips slightly, finally raising her broken sword resolutely to pierce her chest.
Her petite figure erupted in crimson light before shattering into countless rose petals that scattered in the wind. All that remained was a broken sword and a heavy to impaled by the sword, lying atop the bone-filled mountain.
The last petal landed on the to, which then disintegrated into fragnts of light…
In the darkness, familiar ancient text rose before Charlotte’s eyes.
History cannot be changed, the end of fate will co.
…
The vision vanished.
…
Charlotte jolted awake, her right hand trembling as she held the parchnt.
Her breathing was rapid, her expression full of uncertainty.
“Was that… ? Did I… ultimately fail?”
She looked incredulously at the parchnt in her hand, her heart surging with tumultuous emotions.
“War, destruction, death…”
“Was that a scene from the past, mories of my previous life, or… a fragnt of the future?”
Charlotte hesitated, stroking the parchnt as the blood divine power slowly spread.
Sensing the residual divine power fluctuations, a thought struck her.
“This aura… it has traces of divination, likely a form of foresight imprint.”
“Divination involves foresight. Is this… my future?”
“But it doesn’t seem to be purely divination, it feels mixed with sothing else.”
Charlotte hesitated and infused the parchnt with divine power again, attempting to summon the sealed vision once more.
However, this ti she failed. The vision sealed in the parchnt was clearly one-ti use. After she viewed it, it vanished entirely.
It was as if none of it had ever happened, the parchnt in her hand had beco a plain, blank sheet.
Taking a deep breath, Charlotte set down the parchnt.
When she looked back at the envelope, she froze again.
At so point, the Chinese writing on the envelope had disappeared, replaced by elegant, beautiful script in the continent’s common language.
History cannot be changed; the end of fate will co.
Charlotte was montarily stunned.
The handwriting was not unfamiliar to her. Though she had avoided writing as much as possible during her ti travel, she had seen Lilith’s handwriting while reviewing docunts in the past.
This was Lilith’s handwriting.
As Charlotte looked again, the text also disappeared, and the envelope turned into an ordinary, unmarked blank envelope.
“Could this be Lilith’s doing as well?”
Charlotte’s suspicions deepened.
Sensing the residual power on the envelope, she pondered.
“This was the work of a true God, far beyond the capabilities of soone like who has just ascended. Moreover… it’s the blood divine power.”
“This kind of mastery that leaves no trace cannot be the work of an ordinary mythological figure. It must have been a senior true God of the caliber of the Sun God.”
“Could it be that… Lilith hasn’t truly fallen but is hiding sowhere, observing history, predicting the future, and warning ?”
Charlotte’s expression grew solemn as she recalled the fragnts she had just seen.
The girl in the vision was undoubtedly herself, from her appearance to her power, including the iconic thorny rose symbol… it was unmistakable.
Although the scenes had flashed by quickly, she had noticed many details.
The elves were praying at the altar, worshiping the Sun God. It seed Helios, the Sun God, truly hadn’t perished!
The Crescent Kingdom and Starfall Kingdom were at war, with the forr seemingly empowered by “corruption,” causing the latter to lose ground.
The collapsed city in the vision was none other than the capital of the Starfall Kingdom, indicating that the war ended in the kingdom’s destruction.
She herself seed to have been dragged into a bloody divine war, where her followers perished, leaving her alone.
Recalling the massive eye in the sky from the vision, Charlotte thought.
“That wasn’t an ordinary eye. It was… the sun of the Myria world!”
“That aura was terrifying, far surpassing that of a true God… that must be the eye of the Creator God!”
“This aligns with Myria’s creation myths, where the Creator God sacrificed its power to form the world, with its eyes becoming the sun and moon…”
“aning the Creator God has ultimately awakened.”
“But its aura felt corrupted, evil… it seems that after countless attempts to seize the Creator’s authority, it too has been polluted…”
“It awakened and devoured all life on the Myria continent.”
As the horrifying images replayed in her mind, Charlotte felt a chill run down her spine.
Stroking the parchnt, now aged and ordinary, she took a deep breath and summoned Deladro, the elder of the Szellem Clan.
“Your Majesty, the True Ancestor! What are your orders?”
Derado bowed respectfully to Charlotte.
Suppressing the turmoil in her heart, Charlotte exhaled softly and held up the envelope.
“This letter… how long has it been here?”
“Letter?”
Derado looked completely puzzled.
