Hearing the uproar in the performance hall, Iron Head hurried over to check. By the ti he arrived, the commotion had subsided as the girl had already returned backstage.
Iron Head approached Table 1, grinning cheekily, and asked, "Dr. Xu, what happened just now? It was so noisy I could hear it from outside. Was soone causing trouble?"
Knowing Iron Head was asking on purpose though he was fully aware, Xu Xiangbei smirked mischievously, "You’re just doing this to ss with , aren’t you? That dancing beauty, where did you hire her from?"
Iron Head laughed lecherously, "Did you see her? Isn’t she hot?"
Xu Xiangbei shook his head, noticing the infatuated look on Iron Head’s face, "Tell honestly, how did you get her here?"
"She ca on her own. Our Crown KTV was recruiting talented beauties and handso guys. The mont she ca, without doing anything but standing there, I could tell this girl had a story. Then..."
Xu Xiangbei bitterly chuckled inside. She more than just had a story; the girl wasn’t ordinary, to say the least. She’s a formidable thief, or more intricately, the new Sect Leader of the Thief Alliance. For her to co here on her own, she clearly has her eye on sothing. Poor Iron Head, still dreaming his romantic dreams.

Just as Xu Xiangbei was about to warn Iron Head to be careful with the girl, the lights dimd. A whiff of perfu, like lilies, wafted over. The girl sat down in the empty seat next to Xu Xiangbei.
She’d changed into a T-shirt and jeans, with her hair in a ponytail, looking radiant. Her skin glowed with youthful allure, her cherry lips parted lightly, "Iron Head, get a bottle of XO with ice."
Iron Head nodded and hurried to the kitchen to fetch a flat bottle of XO. The frosted glass, under the light, shimred with an unsteady amber glow.
Xu Xiangbei was quick to grab the XO, feeling the chill under his touch. The artistically crafted, uneven glass bottle allowed for a firr grip.
The golden liquor poured into the mug, foaming up.
Xu Xiangbei poured a little for each of the three, using tongs to clamp down the crystal-clear ice cubes.
A rich aroma of alcohol mixed with the chill of the ice spread around them.
The stage was taking a break at the mont, playing a sorrowful English ballad, reminiscent of Carpenter’s rich and unique female voice. A sharp electric guitar and a heavy elegant bass tore open the deep-hidden emotions in everyone’s heart,
She flashed a coy look at Iron Head, "Don’t you need to work? Or are you thinking of taking my job, drinking with guests? Rember, this bottle counts towards my commission, don’t think you can get out of it!"
Iron Head, as if waking from a dream, stared admiringly at her after drinking the XO. He wanted to chat with her longer, but soone called him over the intercom, forcing him to reluctantly leave his seat.
Xu Xiangbei chuckled bitterly, "The illustrious girl dancing here? Playing as a hostess, earning tip commissions? Tell you’re here for so experience or reliving old mories."
"Experience life here? Is this life even interesting? If I were to experience or relive, my dream isn’t here. It’s with you."
As she spoke, her gentle hand lightly caressed Xu Xiangbei’s strong arm, like a tender kitten curling up on his shoulder.
Her intimate actions sent a chill down Xu Xiangbei’s spine. Startled, he moved his hand to block the one sneaking into his pocket.
"I knew it, your visit here wasn’t simple. Tell honestly, what’s your objective? This KTV was opened by my friend Boss Peng. Please, spare this place."
Having been caught, the girl withdrew her hand from Xu Xiangbei’s pocket, relinquishing his wallet.
She smiled and clinked glasses with him, her soft arm wrapping around his neck, "I’m just kidding with you. We’re old friends; how could I target you? If I were to target anything, it would be you, not your wallet."
If it were an ordinary beauty drinking together, it would be quite romantic. The perfu mixed with alcohol would set one’s blood ablaze.
But it was this girl wrapping around him, leaving Xu Xiangbei unenthused. Her outward charm could swallow you whole in an instant.
His body stiffened as he downed the XO, wary: "Sister, I can’t play your gas. For old tis’ sake, spare this once. Take as much liquor as you want."
"What’s wrong? Nobody to drink with? Is Suite 218 not your pack of beauties?"
As expected, nothing escaped the girl’s keen eyes. A bit worried she’d stir up jealousy or trouble for Gu Xinyan and the others, Xu Xiangbei sighed, "You know I have a lot of girlfriends. We’re not possible, so just let go. I’m not good boyfriend material. Better to end it now than drag it out, let go like a fart."
Noticing Xu Xiangbei’s tension, the girl looked disdainful, picked up a banana, and peeled it with her delicate hands. The girl’s eyes sparkled like stars, a teasing smile in her gaze, "Ha ha, are you annoyed and trying to get rid of ? But now, it shouldn’t be leaving; it should be you leaving quickly."
There was an implication behind her words, especially with the hint of nace in her beautiful eyes.
Xu Xiangbei confidently thought that the hint of danger was definitely not aid at him, but at soone behind him.
Growing more alert, Xu Xiangbei realized he’d been too distracted by the girl’s flirting and hadn’t noticed his surroundings. Harnessing his inner strength amidst the jarring, stimulating music, he sensed sothing amiss.
