Chapter 619: I’m Afraid That No Matter How Many Tis I Get Pregnant, None of My Babies Will Ever Survive
It was getting windy, and it would probably rain soon. Gu Mian finally managed to make her way to the roadside. She tightened her jacket around herself and walked forward alone.
A few drivers assud that she was a prostitute and asked her how much she was selling herself for as they drove past her. Gu Mian ignored them and rely quickened her pace.
It started raining. It was drizzling at first, but the rain soon grew a little heavier. A car ca to a stop beside Gu Mian. The sa car had already driven past her a while ago. The driver saw that Gu Mian was alone and harbored malicious intentions towards her. This was why he made a U-turn, and he was planning to drag Gu Mian into his car.
“Young lady, where are you heading to? Why don’t I give you a ride? Co on, follow into the car!” The man grabbed Gu Mian and shoved her towards the car.
“There’s no need for that. My family mbers will be here for soon. Let go of .” Gu Mian forcefully pushed him away, but the other party had already made up his mind to drag her into his car and totally ignored what she said.
Gu Mian got nervous. She lowered her body and landed a forceful bite on the other party’s wrist. The other party loosened his grip on Gu Mian because of the pain, and she imdiately fled. She ran against the direction of the traffic, as she knew that this man would definitely not let her off the hook if she were to run forward.
Gu Mian ran so quickly that one of her shoes slipped off her feet. She paid no attention to it and continued charging forward. The man chased after her for a while, but decided to give up when he saw that she showed no signs of slowing down.
Gu Mian had no idea how long she had been running for. By the ti she stopped, she realized that she was actually in front of one of the exits of the expressway. She quickly ran towards the exit. All she wanted was to leave this place as fast as possible.
Gu Mian only realized that one of her shoes were gone after she exited the expressway, but it was not like she could go back to search for it. She found the nearest bus station and boarded the bus.
Gu Mian shivered from the cold as she sat down. She huddled her jacket tightly around herself, but it was totally useless as her body was already drenched. She was chilled to the bone.
Tang Zui’s anger only started dissipating bit by bit after he drove for a very long distance, but he was still unable to forgive Gu Mian when he recalled the way she pretended to be innocent. It was only when the rain grew heavier that he gritted his teeth and went back to look for her.
He did not rember where he abandoned her. After all, he was trendously angry at that ti. But after not being able to find her even after searching for her for a long ti, Tang Zui started growing anxious.
He whipped out his cell phone to give Gu Mian a call, but no one answered. Suddenly, Tang Zui heard the ringtone of Gu Mian’s cell phone and saw a familiar shoe...
At that very mont, Tang Zui felt as if he was struck by lightning. He stopped his car by the roadside and dashed into the rain without regard for anything to pick up the shoe and the cell phone on the road...

Tang Zui imdiately whipped out his cell phone and gave Si Mancheng a call.

All of Tang Zui’s movents were chanical right now. He held Gu Mian’s shoe close against his chest as he returned to his car. He really wanted to beat himself up so badly right now.
By the ti Gu Mian returned ho, she felt so cold that it was as if she was imrsed in a tub of ice. She imdiately headed to the bathroom for a warm bath. Only after sitting in the warm water for more than ten minutes did she begin to relax...
At this very mont, she felt that her decision to install a birth control ring was a trendously good one. ‘If I didn’t do this, I’m afraid that no matter how many tis I get pregnant, none of my babies will ever survive!’
The loud sound of the door being opened shocked Gu Mian. She disregarded the discomfort she was feeling and slipped on a bathrobe. She knew that Tang Zui was back!
