The sound echoed on and on, rolling like thunder, until at last, it began to fade.

Slowly, the cheering and applause ebbed away, leaving behind a charged silence, thick with anticipation for what was to co.

The announcer cleared his throat, stepping forward to reclaim the crowd’s attention. His booming voice carried authority as he began, "I’M SURE WE’RE ALL FAMILIAR WITH THE RULES AND STRUCTURE OF THIS TOURNANT!"

The audience grew quiet, their eager eyes fixed on him as he continued, his words reverberating across the arena. "THIS IS THE DUCHY STAGE. THERE ARE 32 CONTESTANTS READY TO TEST THEIR SKILLS AND PROVE THEIR WORTH. BUT REMBER, ONLY 2 WILL ERGE AS CHAMPIONS OF THIS STAGE!"

A ripple of excitent coursed through the crowd, murmurs of speculation and excitent buzzing like a hive of bees.

"WHICH ANS," the announcer went on, his tone rising with intensity, "THERE WILL BE FOUR ROUNDS OF FIGHTS. EACH CONTESTANT MUST SHOW THEIR STRENGTH, THEIR STRATEGY, AND THEIR SPIRIT TO SURVIVE AND ADVANCE!"

He let the anticipation build for a heartbeat, then dramatically gestured toward the arena floor. "NOW, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, OUR FIRST TWO FIGHTERS—TROIS VS ILLIX!"

The crowd erupted once again, their cheers and chants filling the air as the first competitors stepped into the arena, ready to kick off the tournant with a clash of power and skill.

Gon heaved a deep sigh of relief, unaware he had been holding his breath until that very mont.

His shoulders relaxed slightly, tension ebbing away as the announcer called out the nas of the first fighters.

For so reason, an irrational fear had gripped him—a nagging expectation that his na would be the first to echo across the arena.

Now, with that fear dispelled, he felt a small wave of reassurance wash over him.

At least for now, he could sit back and observe.

Watching the first fight would give him the chance to study the pace of the battles, the intensity of the mages’ techniques, and perhaps even glean so useful strategies.

Though his heart still beat faster than normal, he was grateful for the reprieve, however brief it might be.

The two contestants stepped forward, their contrasting appearances imdiately capturing the crowd’s attention.

Trois was a striking figure, her super long hair tied into flowing ponytails that swayed with every step she took.

She moved with confidence, a faint smirk playing on her lips as she reached behind her back and drew two short swords.

With practiced ease, she flicked them in tight circles, the sharp steel glinting under the sunlight.

Her movents were fluid, almost playful, yet they carried an unmistakable precision that hinted at her experience.

Opposite her stood Illix, a lanky, gangly-looking boy whose height and awkward fra gave him an unassuming presence.

But his weapon of choice was anything but ordinary—a long, coiled chain that he gripped tightly in his hands.

He swung it once in a slow, deliberate motion, the chain clinking softly against itself, its potential danger clear to anyone watching.

The two fighters locked eyes, each silently sizing the other up, their contrasting styles promising an intriguing and unpredictable match.

The arena grew tense with anticipation as the crowd leaned forward, eager to see how this clash would unfold.

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!

The announcer shouted.

The sun hung low in the sky, casting an orange glow over the arena as Trois and Illix faced off.

The dust of the arena floor swirled around them as the crowd roared in anticipation.

Trois, with her long, dark hair braided into two tight ponytails, stood tall with her two short swords ready in hand.

Her blue eyes were cold and focused, and her every muscle seed poised for action.

On the opposite side, Illix was already in motion, twirling the long chain in his hands with practiced ease.

His lithe body was agile, his movents fluid as he flicked the chain through the air like a serpent preparing to strike.

Illix smirked, his eyes scanning Trois. "You think your little tricks will be enough to stop ?" he taunted, the chain cracking like thunder.

Trois said nothing, but a flicker of confidence passed across her face. She was ready.

The match began.

Trois was quick, her blades flashing as she lunged forward, aiming to strike.

Illix was faster, his reflexes honed to a razor’s edge.

He swung the chain toward her, aiming to wrap it around her wrist.

Trois twisted out of the way, a graceful pivot of her body as she dodged, her twin swords striking at the air in front of her.

Oooohhh! The crowd groaned.

Illix grinned, eyes narrowing. He was playing with her, testing her limits.

He struck again, the chain whistling through the air as it sliced toward her midsection.

Trois wasn’t intimidated. She spun, twisting just enough to avoid the chain’s grasp.

She lunged again, this ti aiming for Illix’s side.

But Illix was already stepping back, using his chain to control the distance between them.

He wrapped one hand around it and flicked it toward her, trying to ensnare her sword arm.

Trois countered, her twin blades flashing. One sword clashed with the chain, while the other struck at Illix’s exposed flank.

But Illix was fast—he dodged at the last mont, and the blade sliced only air.

Ughhh! Groans ca from the crowd, as they collectively let out a breath of air

"You’re fast," Trois muttered, barely out of breath, but her voice was tinged with a hint of admiration. She knew this was no ordinary fighter.

"You’re not bad yourself," Illix replied, his voice mocking. "But can you keep up?"

Without warning, he whipped his chain forward, aiming for her legs.

The links clinked as they moved like a snake through the air, seeking to entangle her feet and trip her.

Trois gasped as she saw that that the chain was almost at her.

It was possible that even if she leapt, she wouldn’t be able to dodge it.

Illix chuckled as he saw this. "Gotcha", he said.
